E-Commerce Personalization Software Discussions
Which Insider One features have you found most useful in improving customer engagement, and why? Are there particular tools or strategies within the platform that have made a measurable difference in your campaigns?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been helping a few e-commerce teams look for platforms that support dynamic content personalization—not just basic recommendations, but context-aware, real-time content changes that match visitor behavior, product interest, or shopping phase. I pulled the latest from G2’s Personalization Software Grid to see which tools are rated top-tier for online retail personalization. Here’s what stood out (based on G2 Grid order):
- Insider: tclear front-runner with a perfect G2 Score (100); excellent for full-site personalization—on-site, email, mobile—with strong behavior tracking and dynamic content delivery.
- ActiveCampaign: strong all-rounder (G2 Score 88); great for mid-sized stores that want personalization across content and marketing automation without heavyweight infrastructure.
- MoEngage: solid option (G2 Score 75); offers personalized messaging across web and mobile channels with behavior-based triggers for dynamic content.
- Luigi’s Box: good fit (G2 Score 73) for online stores wanting to personalize product search, onsite widgets and content blocks based on visitor intent.
- ContactPigeon: Also 73 on G2; geared toward e-commerce with dynamic site content, pop-ups, behavioral triggers & automation for product-grid personalization.
- edrone: another 73; aimed at online retail, combining CRM/data with dynamic content placement and cross-channel automation.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio): enterprise-scale solution (73); powerful if you’re already in the Salesforce ecosystem and need heavy personalization at scale.
What's been your experience using these?
For e-commerce teams: which personalization platform actually helped your store deliver truly dynamic content (not just personalized recommendations) and what difference did it make in conversion or engagement?
We need to fix the conversions value in Google Shopping Ads search term report. Just this week it said a term with 2 clicks got 11 conversions and a term with 2 clicks got 7 conversions. Its way off. We need to calculate ACoS = ad spend / revenue per keyword so then we know how much to bid per keyword. For those who don't know how to set bids how you want on Shopping Ads you do it with high priority super low bid campaign that soaks up all the unwanted spend and then the spend you want you block via negatives and then you have medium bid campaign that catches the wanted spend you blocked in first campaign and you repeat until you get to your low priority campaigns which need mutually exclusive negative lists for the wanted keywords. If you do Shopping ads and grasp what I just said and also know how to select and then rank keyword by ROI then this likely will change your fortunes for the better. Back to our issue though, we're flying blind because Google has no semblance of accuracy in their conversion tracking. Its a joke and the information can't be more wrong. We need software that can fix the conversion value column of the Google Shopping search term report since tracking ACoS per $1 CPC per keyword is essential for ranking keywords by ROI and then following the method I described in configuring your keyword bids per the ROI so you are 100% maximizing your targeting better than any AI or consultant could ever do for you. My background is $10M+ of Amazon ads and a few weeks now on the Google ads where we're at 1,300+ clicks, 100K+ impression and under 6% ACoS per day so far in the few weeks I've been at it. I know keyword ranking by ROI from all the Amazon ad spend data compiled but we need this same data from Google Shopping but they have a broken conversion value. Please advise if this software or one of the others can produce a report that has keyword and revenue and its correct. We just need that and then we can fix Google's broken report.
