Yes, you can compare versions of the same drawing, or two different drawings. The functionality works best on a mobile device (phone or tablet), but is also available in the online version.

Yes, Procore has a feature that allows you to compare previous versions of the same drawing sheet. On the comparison view items that were removed are shown in red and items that were added in blue. It's a helpful tool to track changes overtime.

can the messaging service be reinstated
Gordon, if you're referring to the Revit Communicator plugin that came with Collaboration for Revit. There are currently no publicly announced plans from Autodesk to bring back the communicator.
