Playcut is an agent-native AI content studio built for marketing teams,
agencies, and DTC e-commerce brands that need on-brand product and campaign
creative at volume.
Built for AI agents, not just browsers. Playcut ships a full Model Context
Protocol (MCP) server — 34 tools spanning AI actor generation, AI image
generation, AI video generation, voice cloning, brand kits, and batch workflows
— so the entire studio runs from Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, or
any other MCP-compatible AI client. A REST API covers the same surface for
ChatGPT custom GPTs, n8n, Zapier, Make, and custom backends. Teams brief an AI
agent in plain language and finished campaign assets come back, instead of
clicking through a studio interface shot by shot.
Custom AI actors you own. The core of Playcut is the custom AI actor: a
brand-specific AI model, spokesperson, or UGC presenter that is not drawn from a
shared stock avatar library. Once built, an actor holds the same face, body,
hair, wardrobe, and styling across every still, video, UGC ad, and product shot,
so a single actor carries an entire campaign instead of drifting after the third
image. Under Playcut's terms, customers retain ownership of the actors they
build and of every generation they create, and customer content is never used to
train foundation models. Commercial use is included on every plan with no
watermark on any tier — no talent contracts, no usage windows, no reshoot fees.
One studio, thirteen models. Playcut routes across 13 model surfaces from five
vendors — Google, xAI, ByteDance, Alibaba, and HappyHorse — covering
text-to-image, reference-to-image, text-to-video, image-to-video,
reference-to-video, video extension and video editing, AI voice design and voice
cloning, text-to-speech, and music generation. There is no automatic model
router: teams choose the model on every generation or take the capability
default, so output is never swapped behind their back. Photographer-tuned shoot
presets — editorial light, studio softbox, golden hour, lookbook, e-commerce
hero, neon night, macro detail — turn one product photo into a full campaign
shoot.
Built for teams and agencies. Multi-brand brand kits store colors, typography,
logos, and voice guidelines and can be tagged on any generation, so one agency
workspace serves many clients without cross-contamination. Shared team folders
and per-user private folders separate in-house work from client work, with
creator-only edit rules on shared assets.
Plans start at $9 per month with a 7-day trial on the entry plan. Custom AI actor
allowances scale from 3 on Hobby to unlimited on Agency, and every plan ships
every model.
