Grammarly now integrates more smoothly into my workflow through its Direct Software Integration, enabling me to use it in Word, Pages, Google Docs, TextEdit, YouTube, WordPress, and nearly any device linked to my account. It's more beneficial than cheaper AI tools that require exporting and only work within their own platforms. For a non-native English speaker like me, it guarantees accurate and clear writing, while its recent AI features help me express ideas differently or adopt various tones within the same document. Although initially limited to English, the company now supports other languages, with suggestions in German, Italian, and Spanish.
The system reads my text and suggests improvements effortlessly, without taxing my device. Using Grammarly is simple; once installed, it updates automatically. I remember installing it on this computer, and over time, it began suggesting phrases in multiple languages. The updates continually enhance support—no complex commands needed. Just start typing, and Grammarly takes care of the rest. Although the subscription costs $144 annually, I’ve kept it for over a decade because of its invaluable help, and I’m using it to write this now. Its settings are clear, allowing me to customize AI features or easily restrict Grammarly's functions. In ten years, I’ve only contacted support twice, and both times, the responses were helpful and straightforward. One time, I asked which languages it supports; initially, they said only English, but months later, they started to include my native language after realizing they could better identify our mistakes.

This is a tool that one me over as a skeptic of tools that replaced something I already thought I did pretty well. It started by having me save time reviewing and sorting my emails. But where I get the most value are being able to truly utilize my inbox like a to-do list through the use of inboxes and reminders. I can get to "Inbox 0" without archiving an email I need to respond to next week - it'll simply reappear in my inbox on Monday with three presses. The other feature that's been invaluable has been their collaboration. I can share an email with a colleague (even someone who doesn't use Superhuman) and they're able to leave internal-only visible comments or thoughts or context AND they'll be able to see future communication, even if I don't cc them on the thread. They could even respond if I happen to be out of office or are better suited to reply. I've been impressed with their adoption of targeted and useful AI features, mostly centered around writing where the tool can spin you up a draft and will present you with a recommended reply on an email it suggests it's time to follow-up on. Their onboarding process, especially for the desktop app, gamified onboarding and helped me get an initial handle on the new work streams, which over the course of a week, we turned into habits together.

What I like best about Grammarly is how it catches grammar, spelling, and tone issues in real time, making writing clearer and more professional. It also provides helpful suggestions that improve communication without changing your original message.
