I find the editor for cleaning up a transcript straightforward enough that I don't need any technical background to fix occasional mistakes. I appreciate that it plays the audio alongside the text so I can correct things in context rather than guessing. The translation features have been especially valuable for us since generating subtitles in a second language for our multilingual staff used to mean hiring someone externally, and now it's something I can handle in-house. The turnaround has been fast too, even for longer recordings like full onboarding sessions, so I'm not waiting around a day to get something out. Setup was as easy as it gets; I had my first transcript within an hour of signing up without needing anyone from IT, which matters since I don't have technical support readily available for tools this small in our stack. Support answered my billing question quickly when I had one. It has genuinely made our training material more accessible to the workforce that needs it, without me having to become technical to use it.

The European Portuguese (pt-PT) transcription quality is the main reason we use it. Most transcription tools we evaluated either do not support Portuguese at all or only handle Brazilian Portuguese well; HappyScribe transcribes our meeting recordings in pt-PT accurately enough that cleaning up minutes takes minutes instead of re-listening to the whole call. The web editor is straightforward for fixing names and technical terms, and exporting the final text into our internal notes is quick.

We love the quality of HappyScribe's summarized notes from meetings, including its ability to provide summarized notes in English when the meeting is in a foreign language, and its ability to join meetings without joining ourselves. I haven't seen a similar quality in any of the other tools that exist !
