Is there an easy resource to find and compare version differences?

Why are people calling Vaadin a high cost solution?

Do you feel that the documentation of Vaadin is lacking?
At the vaadin website I feel at odds with the documentation of its components API's or its classes API's and also it is very difficult to get insights into vaadins abstraction. How do you overcome this problem?
