If the Cloud Storage company can't be trusted to keep your data and their own agreements, they are of no use to anyone. They sold Lifetime agreements and then just refused to honor them. And when I needed my data I tried FOR MONTHS to download copies but EVERYTIME THEIR DOWNLOAD RETURNED 0 LENGTH FILES. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** When I lost a critical hard drive I was happy I had a lifetime account with Zoolz-until I tried to download my data. 0 files every time! Then they reneged on their agreement and gave everyone who had paid for a lifetime account a few weeks to download their data - but their system did not work. These people are not trustworthy. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data backup for critical files - unfortunately they FAILED IN EVERY WAY! ### 2. They took my money and are now offering me NO VALUE. ### 3. They flaunt with big company names as customer using their service. They show Amazon cloud logo on their website to generate trust in their service. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** Zoolz simply deleted my account without even warning me to take my data elsewhere. I am not the only one. Read reviews about Zoolz on TrustPilot where scores of people have complained about the same negative experience causing people tons of hurt and harm associated with data deletion. This bad practice of no respect for customer data makes all other gripes about their slow service pale in comparison. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am not solving any problems with Zoolz. If anything, Zoolz has created problems for me by deleting my account. ### 4. Also with bad support because they are cheap. BUT what I can't forgive is how they made me lose years of priceless business data. Their service is not secure at all. Don't make the make mistake I made trusting them your data... **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** No benefits at all. At the beginning, I decided to use it for my business data storage but suddenly they lost all my data and never recovered it. I really made a mistake trusting them ### 5. That made me switch from iDrive to Zoolz. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** Their servers are very, very slow. Besides, when I purchased their Home plan, I was offered a lifetime plan which... just now was cancelled. So their lifetime plan only lasted 3 years. Now I have to restore over 600GB of data via their very slow servers - it will take me many frustrating days to retrieve everything. **Recommendations to others considering Zoolz:** I would not trust them. Their servers I slow to upload and restore data. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** I managed to store over 600GB of data knowing that my "lifetime" plan will keep it secure. ### 6. Zoolz cloud storage, which is a very affordable platform that has solved my need for extra storage. The data stored is secure and uploads quite fast. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** Even after subscribing and buying packages for a lifetime storage plan after two years of duration they start charging you for maintenance, which I think, should be included with the initial fee of the lifetime plan. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** This platform provides storage in two types of categories of cold storage and vault storage. The cold storage works best for regular backups however; the vault storage can be used to store data daily. With vault storage, I can share my files over to the third party who can easily access and download it on demand. ### 7. Its best feature without a doubt is cold storage, which has an option for remote restoration. I also like security encryption, which is under a 256 AES protocol, good enough to safeguard bank data. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** I had some inconvenience to access files stored cold and customer service is extremely slow to respond. I believe that if a company does not have good customer service, the product is devalued. **Recommendations to others considering Zoolz:** This software has high-end servers to keep your data completely secure and also has excellent tools to manage backups, however, your customer service is appalling, so I cannot recommend this software. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest benefit Zoolz gave us is one of the lowest cold storage rates in the market, with a price for 1 TB of only $ 16.67 per month. We also benefit from having access to backups remotely. On the other hand, the speed with which the files are transferred is incredible, so we save a lot of time uploading the files. ### 8. Very outdated and clunky user web and desktop interface **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** Everything. Set up process is not the most user friendly. Very horrible customer service. They can and should not be trusted. They sold lifetime access via various platforms a year ago. In the last few days they ahve been sending emails to all those folks informing them that their support and upgrade have ended. No security update or upgrade of any sort. They claimed that only the storage and data is lifetime but not app update. The company never disclosed this during their promotion period. If they can turn around and do this, how can anyone trust them with your vital data? **Recommendations to others considering Zoolz:** Avoid. The company can just not be trusted. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** The goal was to use it for cold storage of files so it is accessible online. ### 9. FREE 100GB for LIFE!!!! Really? It worked great, but most of the backup was in what is called "cold storage" That means you can't use it as a drive on your computer, but it is still there, just harder to access. It was still very much worth the money (free) It worked great and was decently speedy. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** This week I received a notice on my laptop that said my account was expired. I sent a message to customer support to see what happened only to be told: "It's with deep regret that we have been forced into this position to end free accounts." PS they never sent a notification that this was going to happen and now I can't even download my information without paying for it. This is obviously a horribly ran company and I would never spend a penny with them. **Recommendations to others considering Zoolz:** Don't let any company use your data as a hostage. **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** This was used as a great backup for my laptop with documents and photos being backed up automatically, but it has since stopped. I would not recommend anyone purchasing anything from this company. They are not above holding your information hostage and changing the price. Luckily I didn't need the backup so they won't get a penny from me. ### 10. You need to put in a request and it will prepare your download. **Recommendations to others considering Zoolz:** So something that bothers me about Zoolz is that it wants to synchronize the entire computer, and the only things you don't want synchronized you need to put in the ''no Zoolz Zone'. It would be better for my use if I could choose what folders I want synchronized rather than backing up the entire machine and cherry picking what I don't want. There should be an option to decide between the two. You might be confused with 'cold storage' and 'vault'. Vault is instantly accessible data, and 'cold storage' is also your data, but it needs to prepare it for you before you can download it. I got it in a promotion **What problems is Zoolz solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Back Up for Large amounts of Data, including media files - While slow, the cold storage is probably better for the environment. ### 13. Easy to setup and use. Mobile app to view your data and retrieve it. Seem to be innovating and offering newer plans. **What do you dislike about Zoolz?** Initial backup can take a long time depending on data size. Retrieval window is 3-5 hours (sits on AWS glacier storage).
