I had no idea that we could set up a storefront for one or put a "tap and go" donation (no tax receipt, of course) in place for an event. I have been able to meet all my needs for donations and online financial support of these charities. Great application, I must say! **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** In order to continue to offer the free service to the NPOs and charities, Zeffy still needs to raise money themselves. Some of my donors have found the optional Zeffy support hard to figure out how to skip if they were not in a place to donate there as well. I've fielded a couple of angry and frustrated phone calls, but generally people are starting to understand what they're seeing in the payment process. **What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Setting up a storefront for the various workshops and recorded materials offered by one of my church clients was a great problem that was solved. I get everything I need from the reports I set up and very much like the strong communication style that Zeffy has with its users. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** The only downside I've experienced is the confusion that can be caused if a donor makes an unsolicited donation and becomes confused by the request for donation made by Zeffy. When I go to search for users, it always organizes my search by who purchased or signed up for the campaign. As a sports team, it would be much more beneficial and easier to organize if I can choose other ways to search and list my purchases, like by athlete name. We are consistently impressed by Zeffy. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** Zeffy doesn't allow us to integrate our Volunteer management fully and robustly into the CRM. While the CRM is a wonderful tool, we cannot track volunteer hours within the software, and therefore must use alternative software. The program hides the "Other" option. **What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?** For years, we were limited to cash only, and missed many sales. Customers wanted to buy, but would say "I'll be back" when we told them we only take cash. They would always say, "Can I use a card?" We sell novelty products that often have to be ordered and customized, and people were reluctant to use their limited cash on a item they have to wait for. Our sales immediately increased when we started using Zeffy, and we never looked back. The system is secure and easy to use, and employees learn the system quickly. It's very easy to build event ticketing pages and donation pages. I love that I can include logos and images to theme our donation/event campaigns. Customers and donors have found it easy to use and I have no received any negative feedback from them. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** I have used the newsletter templates for our monthly newsletter and it can sometimes be slow to design depending on the template and limited in the editing features that I have. It is also not seamless in the different email platforms and can look different from one email provider to the next. We can do all our program registration & events in Zeffy and the setup is really easy (we are getting rid of our previous platform); the events page that we can just add to our website; the Charitable Receipts autosend; the automatic refund feature for cancelled tickets; the no fee processing; . **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** We tried making a newsletter and it doesn't portray images the same in emails as it does when creating it - even the template we chose without changing anything was very skewed so we haven't been able to take advantage of that (maybe a newsletter with no images would be ok). The Campaign Builder is very easy to use and we can be quite creative in setting targets, uploading logos and photos to make the campaign more attractive. There is also so many useful tools for marketing, emails, campaigns, tax receipts, memberships, etc. While I am very tech saavy, I validate and look for platforms that are reliable, maintainable, and will tackle many areas that non-profits function and use everyday. The support team is also super awesome. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** Truthfully, I have not yet really seen anything that I 'dislike' about Zeffy. There are always new features and it's definitely continuing to get better and better. It also gives me the ability to easily communicate with the group. Being able to see how much we have saved through Zeffy is awesome as well. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** I may not know how to use it right but I would love to be able to make a new note, have it automatically dated, and for each note to populate when you pull someone up. We have been able to use it for our email communications and newsletters instead of a paid platform. As a payment platform we get 100% of donations instead of having to share with a paid platform. For ticket sales to our events, we get 100% as well. We have been able to use Zeffy to sign up volunteers for events, and to check them in when they get there. We also use it to register and check people in for our educational events. The fact that we can set up email reminders a week out and they day before means that we have many fewer people who forget about signing up for an event. ### 20. Other than that they continue to be 100% free and have a nice interface that is user friendly. There are many options for ticketing and services and even volunteers. They now have a nicer CRM and Have a Facebook group now for Zeffy users that can ask questions about how to do specific functions in the platform so you are not relying just on customer service.. they have a. Very nice CRM I have integrated Zeffy with Zapier but it wasn't easy or clear cut. The performance has been good so far and it has not failed to go through the payment process or volunteer sign up ever. IT is trying to incorporat AI, but I stay away from that kind of stuff on Zeffy, so I don't really use the AI/ intelligence feature it has. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** So. The issue is that you can't just uncheck the donation for Zeffy and you have to go to a multiple choice box. Then hit custom, then manually type the number 0 (zero). The payment process is fast, simple, and easy for both our organization and our donors. What makes Zeffy stand out is that it is completely free for nonprofits, allowing us to keep more of every donation and direct those funds toward our mission instead of paying platform fees. The donation forms are user-friendly, professional, and easy to set up. We have had a great experience using Zeffy and appreciate how it helps nonprofits maximize their impact while providing a seamless giving experience for supporters. We highly recommend Zeffy to any nonprofit looking for a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective fundraising solution. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** One area that could be improved is the payout schedule. Zeffy processes payouts on a weekly basis, so organizations that need immediate access to donated funds may prefer more flexible payout options, such as daily or on-demand transfers. However, the platform's no-fee model and ease of use still make it an excellent solution for nonprofits. **What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zeffy eliminates fundraising platform fees, allowing our nonprofit to keep 100% of donor contributions and direct more funds toward our programs and mission. As a result, we can focus more on serving our community and less on managing fundraising technology and expenses. ### 46. the pros and cons of this platform **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media **Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2026 **What do you like best about Zeffy?** It is easy to enter the data of phone calls and to enter comments so that they are visible for a next call. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** A few items that would improve the service- People's phone numbers are often all run together and there is no way to separate them with dashes unless you edit each one independantly, eg.-9052962069. We have numerous accounts with Zeffy and it is not possible to switch easily from one to the other. You need to sign out of one to open another account. This is cumbersome and time consuming. You should be able to have all the accounts open in different tabs. Otherwise it works well. **What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a free service so it is saving a lot of money. ### 47. We have our CRM, newsletter, event tickets all in one place; and because they're integrated, we don't have to download a CSV from one and import it, they're all already logged! The history for the donors as well as the ability to make notes for each donor is amazing. **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** It's not the most user friendly to figure out, but the simplicity of the layout makes it easier to navigate and figure out quickly. **What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Database for volunteers, ticket sales, and quick IRS acknowledgments in one place, all for free! Non-profits can't afford the same things as for-profit clinics, so for a small non-profit, or a bigger one too, it's an option to maximize resources towards what matters. ### 48. They are constantly making functional updates & upgrades based on client feedback. And best of all for a small non-profit like ours, no fees! **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** Occasionally a change in functionality can come as a surprise, so it might require adapting to a slight process change, but so far all the changes have been positive so it's worth it. I can't think of a single other downside! **What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paying credit card fees - saves us money for our bottom line. Donor management & communication is always a challenge, and this is so much easier on Zeffy. Also makes it easier to collaborate at appropriate levels with our volunteers. ### 49. Available both on desktop and via an app. It was a quick and easy process to set up. It allows for customization for setting up our org page and aesthetically pleasing! I love the consistent communications Zeffy sends when funds are received. It has templates that can be used to take the guessing out for what to write when its time to communicate with sponsors. The best part is that Zeffy allows us to keep the full donated amount without charging us fees. This in itself is a huge blessing. Its the best platform available to nonprofits! **What do you dislike about Zeffy?** There is NOTHING I dislike.
