The most recent rounds of that issue seem to be resolved now. Entering codes into xtremelabs has never caused me any issues. **What do you dislike about XtremeLabs?** Support is very slow if they ever fix your problem at all. Having this working would help and provide a means for students to delete saved labs. **What problems is XtremeLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since we were working with a new product, every issue that was brought up was fixed. Each problem encountered was corrected promptly as it occurred, and each lab worked great. An example of this was to separate PowerShell cmdlets into separate lines so as not to have issues when the students would paste them into the PowerShell terminal. Separating the commands gave each command time to execute before pasting the following commands in each module excersize. ### 5. Having real-time support for solutions that we do not control the environment is extremely important. For example, a virtual machine refuses to start and, as we don't have access to the infrastructure, we are completely dependent on support. **What do you dislike about XtremeLabs?** If there is a high latency in accessing the datacenter where Hands-on Labs are located, the Hands-on Labs will lose performance. XtremeLabs offers many of the same labs they do, but the Management, the support staff, and the work they do to help is so much more than just a lab provider. I have worked with other Lab providers, and yes, I even have labs with others, but I DEFINITELY prefer using XtremeLabs when I get the chance. I know my students will get a better learning environment and a better experience out of it **What do you dislike about XtremeLabs?** There is always a downside, and frankly, I am not sure they can fix bandwidth in the labs. Some of the labs depend on actions and 3rd parties as part of the lab. The connection to those 3rd parties needs to be faster to feel more fluid and seamless. All of the lab providers I have worked with have experienced this issue, though... Specifically when working with AWS and Azure labs. The Active Labs work well and help to support the students. Support is great and responds right away to any issues. Overall I am very happy with Xtreme labs and find they are a great addition to my classroom, especially during covid times. Xtreme labs helped me pivot to online learning with only 3 days notice :-) There are some issues but overall I have found the company and their support to be superior and would highly recommend them!!! Every company has some issues and to me it is how they deal with the issues that counts and Xtreme labs has gone above and beyond :-) **What do you dislike about XtremeLabs?** In some instances, too little RAM is assigned to the VM's which makes certain tasks and labs quite slow. It has gotten a bit better, but there have been quite a few issues with the mouse and keyboard not working in the lab. As I am writing this, a student just messaged me to say that he can no longer use the mouse or keyboard :-( This ends up with a student having to end a lab and lose an attempt and lose the work they have done so far (and they only get so many attempts per lab). Last term, as the issues had happened a lot, they did work to ensure that all my students had sufficient attempts to finish my course. The other issue I face is the time allocated for the labs. The lab ends and a student loses an attempt and they lose all their work. It is very easy to miss the message to extend the lab if you are on a different page or if you have left the computer for a min. I have asked for the lab timeouts to be set to a longer period, but the last email I got said that they would not be doing this for me :-( **What problems is XtremeLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great learning tool for the students, especially as we have been teaching fully online now for over 1 yr. The lab launch is blazing fast; I never waited more than 20 seconds to get started with a fully configured lab. The user experience is intuitive and didn't have to contact their customer support expect one time. Their support was very effective and they resolved in a timely manner. **What do you dislike about XtremeLabs?** Occasionally the lab portal webpage does not load properly - particularly in firefox browser but trying the same in a private/incognito session works fine. Not able to reproduce the issue deterministically but I encountered this both in my work and home laptops. **What problems is XtremeLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are continuously deploying new consultants in client locations, remote locations, off-site locations. The purpose-built labs help us rapidly equip our consultants with the necessary background and the lab evaluation results provide valuable insights on the gap identification.
