I find the integration layer for feeding data into Workday Adaptive Planning to be quite complicated. This complexity makes it difficult to input data seamlessly, and if this process were simplified, I believe we could incorporate more data into the application more efficiently. Workday Adaptive Planning is a powerful yet easy-to-use tool that makes budgeting, forecasting, and reporting feel effortless. Getting started is quick and smooth, thanks to its simple implementation process and excellent customer support that’s always ready to help.

We use it to maintain a record of employees attendance. It gives a detailed view of the leaves balances by category such as sick leave balance, paid leave balance. Hence it helps the employee to keep a track and further plan his leaves accordingly. (attached screenshot).

It also provides you component wise salary breakup, keep track of the official assigned trainings etc.

It offers a wide range of features that fit different business needs, and its seamless integration with other systems keeps data accurate and up to date. Workday Adaptive Planning can be useful for modeling only if your data is very clean. If you are a superuser of Adaptive, you can learn how to navigate and it generally does what you need it to do. Adaptive can be especially useful if your organization already is committed to a purchase of Workday's ERP or HRIS systems, so that they integrate well together. There is a very steep learning curve to using it - UI is not intuitive for beginners, and revenue modeling is still easier and more efficient to do in Excel. If you use an implementation partner, be careful about who is selected and be careful to create a setup that will not require ongoing outside expert help to maintain. The scheduling and attendance marking features are advanced and straightforward to use. I find the system user-friendly, making it easy to manage these tasks efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to trust the data. Having a web-based solution for all of our budgeting/forecasting needs that eliminates the multiple versions of Excel documents being sent around. Allows for immediate update of data that executives can review and react to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Formulas and calculations can be tricky to manage. You need one or two administrators that have a strong knowledge of these as well as triggers. Finding a clear learning path of the product, that does not result in additional charges. Taking an accelerated class on formulas and having to pay for it or pay a consultant is not a solution when we already pay for the product.
