Trends in intouch  is not that powerfull

Wonderware intouch is giving us advantages for commuicating with DDE server
Now it have web based hmi access which is light as easy to use

Industry standards focused design and development environment.

Integration of third-party plugins and software is cumbersome and difficult to understand

Depends on the type of requirement, if you are looking for a big process plant, take the Intouch OMI with SP

Making Industry standard HMIs and integrating data to make meaningful information, reporting, historizing and displaying live plant information

**What do you like best about Wonderware InTouch?**

If you prepare well, you can build a very organized SCADA system with the newer Wonderware InTouch for System Platform using object oriented programming. It enables you to save lots of time by duplicating your work down to child objects (instances).

**What do you dislike about Wonderware InTouch?**

I have noticed several bugs over the last few years. Many of them are easily fixable but there have been some times where the biggest suggestion I get from tech support is to upgrade. Working for a large utility, it can be a daunting task to undergo a complete system upgrade by myself. I believe it can be done with proper planning and backing up of the system with minimal risk, but that is yet to be seen.

**What problems is Wonderware InTouch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The program gives great graphical representation of our water system. We can quickly see the status of all of our field equipment, change setpoints, create and monitor alarms, and integrate with our auto dialer and historian server.
