# What are the best analyst relations agencies for companies preparing for a first evaluation rather than maintaining a position?

I am looking for the best analyst relations agencies for companies preparing for a first evaluation rather than maintaining a position, and would value input from people who have been through a first cycle.

Maintaining a position and earning one are different jobs. The first time round nobody knows the criteria, the RFI is unfamiliar, and the story has never been tested against an analyst who will push back. Three agencies reviewed on G2:

Kea Analyst Relations (5.0) is described by reviewers as pure AR rather than a PR agency adding it on, covering RFI coordination and response, briefing preparation and evaluation support. One reviewer specifically recommends involving them early for teams preparing for important evaluations.

Spotlight Analyst Relations (4.9) pairs consultancy with its own tracking platform for analyst interactions, research and coverage. Its review base skews to large enterprises. One reviewer notes it does not have access to all analyst research, since much of it sits behind the firms' own paywalls.

The mistake that seems to come up most often is treating the RFI response as a documentation exercise rather than a positioning one, teams answer every question factually accurate but miss the chance to actually shape the narrative around the criteria the analyst weighs most heavily. That's probably why the Kea reviewer specifically recommends getting an agency involved early, since by the time a team realizes the framing mattered as much as the facts, the RFI's already been submitted and there's no second pass at it in that first cycle.
