Graphics library is appreciable. And animation provision is helpful. Other competitor platforms are much better in terms of screen update rate, GUI interface of development platform. **What do you dislike about Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY?** I had a issue while integration with B&R OPC. The issue ID was Generic due to which we were unable to resolve the issue. So they need to work on bug fixing and add details to errors so that consumers can find it user friendly. **Recommendations to others considering Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY:** I don't feel in a position to recommend this product to any one. Proficy WebSpace has also proven to be an invaluable resource for monitoring our machines that are spread out in various physical locations **What do you dislike about Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY?** While at one point the Cimplicity platform supported direct connection to Rockwell PLCs that functionality has been left by the wayside and hasn't worked for a few generations of Rockwell PLCs. As a result OPC frameworks have to be used to establish that connection. Cimplicity's ability to reconnect to a PLC after losing communication is also lacking. I generally have to resort to stopping and restarting the project to re-establish that connection unless I want to wait several minutes for the active project to re-establish on its own **Recommendations to others considering Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY:** Although the software definitely has some limitations, overall I have been pleased with its functionality and usability. A lot of our machines are using old GE PLCs so Cimplicity meets our needs. However, if I had a blank slate with the ability to choose any HMI package for controlling our machines I would not choose Cimplicity. I would instead opt for something that integrated better with more than just GE PLCs and was more scalable. . **What problems is Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY solving and how is that benefiting you?** In my company we use Cimplicity for controlling a number of different testing machines and interacting with different databases at various points before, during, and after a test. I met with some bug and during solution providing phase for that kind of a problem I see a good team behind that tries to solve my problem as best as possible **What do you dislike about Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY?** From that previous version usage I see that may be a little bit more testing phase addition like "user testing" can be useful for new revision releases. **Recommendations to others considering Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY:** I can recommend users who have over 1000 I/O or more in their system. Managing of an existing system is very easy. If you will implement first installation by yourself, you definitely need training, support and may be some experienced guys. That can be easy for your setup. During lifecycle of your product as far as I see over 5 years there will not be so much maintenance need. For modifications if you have an internal team that can be best for you. As far as I know from my region there are not so much well experienced teams or companies who can provide services for installation or modification services. So this can lead some delays during finding a solution on time. **What problems is Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used GE Cimplicity SCADA for combined cycle power plant DCS in a few plant to have overall control of gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators, steam turbines and balance of plant equipments.
