I think their demo video on their home page at least as of today (November 2, 2021) was a good indicator of what to expect. If the use case fits you, there are some massive time savings to be had in editing and improving the quality of your videos. I think the biggest challenge in creating video content isn't the creation but the editing - but I'd highly recommend Wisecut. I had to do a number of videos that needed to be pieced together saving at least a few hours of editing. As a professional videographer and editor, I want to see this sort of detail in the edit. The AI sound adjustments, music library, and transcription features are icing on top. I see a lot of potential in the tool, but a lot of work is needed to bring it to where it needs to be. **What do you dislike about Wisecut.video?** The AI needs to get smarter about where to do the cuts. I had a talking-head footage where my subject turned his head, and the AI chose that point to do the edit, causing a pronounced and abrupt jump cut. It defeated the purpose of a punch-in/out; the point is to make the transition less noticeable, which had the opposite effect. The manual edit adjustments are currently restrictive, so I could not even fix things myself. The point of an AI-driven tool like this is to speed up production and reduce my workload. At times I feel like I would have done things faster myself. So the AI needs a lot of refinement still. **Recommendations to others considering Wisecut.video:** Give this some time to mature and don't rely on the tool completelty. It might one day be able to do things all on its own, but right now, it cannot. My suggestion would be to use it to process short talking-head clips, use the exports in a traditional editing project. **What problems is Wisecut.video solving and how is that benefiting you?** It reduces the time required to edit a long talk-head video. Linearly editing this type of footage can be quite time-consuming because you need to watch as you edit. A 5 minute footage can take 3x the amount of time to edit. A tool like this helps speeds things along. I use this in projects with a lot of dialogue (even better with monologues). If you have done editing in the past you know how tedious it can get to scroll through a speech in real time and edit by hand. ### 21. If you record live speakers and want to cut and transcribe their info and optimize the video, this is it. The AI feature takes out the dead spots and is spot on.
