## About Wirify
Wirify is a bookmarklet that lets you turn any web page into a wireframe in one click. It's free, easy and fun to use.

## Wirify Reviews
 ### 1. Wirify is a great tool for an often overlooked design principle, hierarchy.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niv G. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

As a bookmark, the tool in incredibly easy to access. I'm scouring tons of different pages when i'm looking for inspiration in webdesign. To be able to convert something to a bare-bones wireframe in one click is a great user experience in my opinion. I like the color system where small text is light grey, headlines are dark, and images are a medium grey. Furthermore, theres an elegance to how simple the application is.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

To be honest, the app could have more features. Color coating, labeling, and even prototyping things. I'd love I can could go in and select what i want wireframed and what i want to remain the same. For example, if I could keep the images, but block out the text, I could then focus on text a little more. Perhaps I want to keep the logo on the top to give me sense of my brand. More importantly, I don't know if this app has any mobile functionality. I try to condense the size of my window and my wireframe crops instead of adjusting to the proper responsiveness

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

Any UX or UI designer should use wirify to either understand why an existing design is working or try to improve their own.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned earlier, websites have so much information, that when you're trying to optimize user experience, its very easy to forget that hierarchy is one of the fundamental elements of good design. Wirify helps me understand a good foundation for a layout, from there, the bells and whistles come somewhat naturally.

 ### 2. Great customer service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

I was able to utilize the pro version with ease. Ran into a little issue but customer service was all over it. Quick, impactful reponses.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

Some apps required version upgrades to utilize the wireframes.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick wireframes from sites I love.

 ### 3. Excellent interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil B. | Nikhil, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The organization of the utility icons make it easy to access while working on the wireframe designs.

I'm using to better understand the wireframe of websites

 ### 5. Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

I like everything about the produc! Best of its kind.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

I don’t dislike anything, I love everything!

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

None

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to better manage work life.

 ### 6. It does what it says, but not as well as other solutions

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

It’s a straight forward and easy to use platform for setting up very quick wireframes.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

The output is never as refined as I would like leaving me to relay out the wireframe it makes usually

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s cutting a lot of time out of screenshotting and drawing wireframes in theory

 ### 7. Interesting Concept, Poor Execution

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

The idea of a one button click to turn a site into it's wireframe components is really interesting, but it takes away the context of the site itself. I've only used it on Chrome, and it seems to work well with that browser, but I can't speak to its efficacy in other browsers.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

If you have an adblocker on, it can turn really weird. I have also been to some sites that weren't properly "wired" on execution. Actually, most sites weren't properly wired, maybe that's due to the sites I visit or other extensions I have running, I'm not sure.

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

Do you really need it?

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly downloaded it to see it could do something different than what I can quickly do in an Illustrator or Sketch scenario. I don't really see a need for it besides some loose inspiration.

 ### 8. Not Pleasing to the Eye

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

Product is easy to use and on the more basic side. Everyone will find it easy to use - only some will find it annoying to look at. Very bare-bones and to the point, no extra frills and unnecessary commands.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

The design is very dated and not up to par with other programs. As a designer it's kind of an eye sore to look at it for a long time.

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

Look at all options! This is easy to use but you might find a better one thats easier to look at. For something quick and adaptable for non-designers this will do the trick. Any designers will find this annoying to look at.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problems we are solving using Wirify is organization and wire framing. With ease of use we are getting people who are unfamiliar with designer programs to contribute.

 ### 9. Very simple to use

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

It’s easy and convent to use on a daily.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

The time it took me to readjust using this platform

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

Won’t regret

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s great and easy to use for designs small or large.

 ### 10. Wirify Use in a Large Agency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

The simplicity of use was the best part of this program. When I had to redesign sites, it helped to reduce bumps in my workflow by quickly converting pages into wireframes. I could then create designs more quickly and further understand the functionality of the site. It was only part of the puzzle, but a big time-saver.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

Back when I used it, there were times when the page would appear jumbled, but I think that this could be more of an issue with our computers and not the program itself.

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

I would definitely recommend Wirify to other graphic and UX/UI designers who need to quickly comp up work and share easily with clients and other team members. This helps to make my life a little easier and more efficient. Two thumbs up!

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had clients who wanted to optimize their sites and it helped for the designers to understand the "bones" or structure of the site to see how we could solve issues with usability.

 ### 11. The Gold Standard of Online Stores

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Owner/Art Director, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

Shopify is a super easy platform to host an online inventory of goods.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

Unfortunately since it is probably the best online store builder out there, it's also not the cheapest. But it's a lot easier than custom building a store.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy online inventory without having to custom build and certify a virtual storefront.

 ### 12. Wirify is a neat little tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasper K. | CTO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

I like that Wirify is really simple ,easy to use and that it works as advertised - Turn any web page into a wireframe in one click. The best thing is the Chrome extension that lets me look at a website from a stripped down perspective of it's building blocks, layout and arrangement. This is important in doing research and replicating popular and standard layouts from other websites.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

Currently, there isn't a trial option to test the Pro version. I alsoI wish Wirify had some more extensive features for creating and editing wires sort of like Balsamiq or UXPin. Even better , a cool feature would be the ability to export a website's wireframe into a boilerplate to use in a project.

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

Wirify is a great tool for analyzing websites particularly their structure and layout. I have used it countless times to create a lot of visual boards and replicate the designs of popular patterns available on the web. It's an excellent experimental resource.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wirify allows me to quickly replicate wireframes and layouts of standard popular designs quickly and effortlessly. Even much more important , it lets me see the bigger picture of a websites structure in the context of analyzing user flows and patterns.

 ### 13. A very cool tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin L. | Senior Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

Being able to recognize a consistent grid on other designs helps me to look at my own in a unique and powerful way

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

I wish the people who designed wirify had a better website themselves, it would help me take them more seriously. The design is pretty poor, but the tool is powerful.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I generally use it for freelance, but it's basically helped me to identify where my design has gone wrong, and where I can improve by locking in my grid better. Also just to get an overall view of my design without too much detail is awesome!

 ### 14. Customizable platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina G. | Dirección Comercial, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

What is customizable, allows you to be quite versatile

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

It is not as well-known and friendly as Wix or other similar platforms.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

for now none

 ### 15. Wirify

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

Real examples of wireframing in real time

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

not compatible with major social media platforms

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

prototyping-- it helps compare models to competitors

 ### 16. Translate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

I really like that Wirify allows you to step back from the detail. It allows you to see the mechanics and flow of a page's user experience without the noise.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

The application could use a little improvement. It is somewhat outdated.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am analyzing my client's web experiences to create a more streamlined and simple user experience online. I am reviewing other websites for examples.

 ### 17. Tried Wirify to help with wireframing process

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

I liked that it was a bookmarklet, that is a much easier way to use it rather than putting a URL into another site, etc.

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

The wireframes that it produced were very simple and didn't really help the UX team at my office to get any more clarification than they would have gotten from just looking at the site and making a quick sketch on a piece of paper. It didn't link up with any of their other UX wireframing software so it didn't provide much value.

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

If you need to teach/show internal stakeholders about the wireframe process it is helpful to use this tool. You can pull up a website and then use the tool to show them how wireframes + design are related.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The UX team at my office was looking for a tool that would help them more quickly wireframe. Frequently a client will say that they like a site, and quickly being able to wireframe what they are talking about would give them another tool to use to define how a clients' new site should behave.

 ### 18. Cut through the noise and see the skeleton of the web

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin T. | Product Designer & Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Wirify?**

When I was first learning UX, this little tool was extremely useful. Despite how well-trained your eyes may be, there is still something about reducing a website down to its very basic layout and shape that is very helpful. When you discover a website you intuitively like, you can quickly see what comprises it -- and vice versa. This tool isn't going to magically feed you answers to web design problems, but what it did for me is it helped me to start understanding what makes a truly "simple" or "clean" design at a base level.

The tool is so insanely easy to install and use that I can see absolutely no reason why all UX Designers should not just have it in their bookmarks bar. It can be a bit buggy or haphazard in its rendering, but I'd say 85% of the time it works the way it should.

This is a great tool to help VERY quickly teach other people what a wireframe is -- whether they be budding UX designers or VPs or your grandparents.

Unlike many apps, Wirify's utility to UX Designers is quick and obvious and it's really the only tool that does what it does. Click a button and see what it does (and how its useful) nearly instantaneously. That's a semi-rare thing when it comes to professional tools like this!

**What do you dislike about Wirify?**

The components Wirify breaks webpages down into are, at times, too simple. It would be nice if it somehow knew what kind of controls were on the page and displayed more "stencil-like" wireframe graphics, rather than purely grey squares and rectangles.

Totally a pipe dream, but I wish it could be applied to more than just websites. It's such a useful tool I would love to use it on UIs across mediums and devices.

I've definitely seen multiple webpages that Wirify was unable to render properly or fully. Because of the way the tool can really be applied to any webpage (its greatest asset) I suppose this is to be expected, but it can sometimes be a bummer.

Truthfully, I don't see any reason you should sign up for the "Pro Version" except that it helps to support a good product.

**Recommendations to others considering Wirify:**

> Get it and use it because there is virtually no reason why you shouldn't.

> Realize that a wireframe should probably NOT just consist of grey squares and rectangles, and that this tool should be used merely to approximate the structure of a page.

> Use common sense if/when it glitches out. If there's a random grey square floating on the left border of the page that isn't there when you turn Wirify off, it's a bug.

**What problems is Wirify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Figuring out the basic skeletal structure of a page -- whether it be someone else's or your own -- in order to understand why it feels cluttered, or why it feels clean.
