## Balsamiq Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful for a well-established team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

A quick way for wireframing when the team is already on the same page, styles are developed, and you just need to discuss new features. Works well if team members are good with abstract thinking.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

A nightmare for other situations, when it brings confusion for people who can't concentrationg on the details while abstracting from the shape well enough. Doesn't allow to assess feasibility for dense UIs.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

That's hit-n-miss, really depends on a particular team and its maturity

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After several attempts of using it for different stages, came to the conclusion to use it as a whiteboard only when whiteboarding images are to be prepared before the meeting, not during it.

  ### 2. I use balsamiq for creating mockups for my future projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** saba t. | saba tatanashvili, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I mostly like that its very easy to use and has possibility to create very similar of what you plan

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't have much forms to use

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

I recommend everyone to use balsamiq mockups to create the design of their projects , after using it there is no need to imagine the project, you can see it yourself before it's implemented.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create project visualizations and share it with others -understand others opinion about my plan. This tool helps me very much. I can get others feedback and correct some mistakes.

  ### 3. Easy, flexible and comprehensive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I learned to use Balsamiq within a day. With so many options out there it still remains the best way to quickly mockup a prototype and link a workflow together that makes sense. It's easy to export and share it with anyone. I like the fact that it has remained the same despite so many requests for features and probably a lot of more advanced competitors.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

It is sometimes hard to find specific icons I'm looking for. I wish there were just a few more customization options for colors and size/shape of things but I think it's intentionally left pretty bare bones. I believe there are expansion 'packs' you can download.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I prototype new product designs or features. Usually I include them as a link to a clickable pdf (from Balsamiq) in my product requirements document. I first used it at Product School NYC for my final project.

  ### 4. A Quick and Easy Way To Mock Up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Out of the prototyping/wire framing options, Balsamiq is easily the easiest to learn. As a consultant, I have worked on countless projects that needed a quick visualization of an idea, and I always knew to go to Balsamiq to create it. The aspect of Balsamiq I like the most, is the ease of use. Other products can become quite complicated quickly, whereas, Balsamiq keeps it simple and that is powerful for quick mock ups and prototypes.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

The overall look of the wire frames can look a bit elementary to certain crowds, but that is how Balsamiq was designed. Compared to other software options, the finished mock up in Balsamiq can look a bit less professional.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

If you are not a UX or UI tasked individual, Balsamiq is incredibly accessible to bring concepts to life. It is one of the cheaper options, and each work space you create has a 30 day free trial! The price of Balsamiq is quite competitive for the premium version.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Often times, it is difficult providing more visualization to ideas in consulting. When speaking to clients, they often want to see a piece of the product they are investing in, but often times developing that project does not start immediately in a project life cycle. The real business value of Balsamiq stems from using it to provide the client with something real and visual, for the designs made in the program can be used as wonderful starting points to build out the real business solution.

  ### 5. Simple, yet powerful wireframing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith K. | Digital Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Balsamiq is my go-to software for simple screen mockups. As a digital product owner, I often have to think through the ways my customer will interact with our applications. Balsamiq lets me drag and drop buttons, form fields, and text on the screen with comments so our designers and developers understand how each screen and control are supposed to function.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Balsamiq is NOT intended to give a final view of the design, nor is it intended to create a working prototype. If you're looking for something along those lines, I'd suggest checking into a product like Invision. The tools in Balsamiq are very versatile, but occasionally, I can't find exactly what I want, like a like a multi-select combo dropdown.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Give the free trial a try. Balsamiq is great for what it was designed to do - rapid wireframe development. If you can build slides in Powerpoint, you should have no problems using Balsamiq. Note: this review was based on the desktop version, Mockups 3 for Desktop. I have not used the Cloud version.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Balsamiq gives me a way to easily visualize the screen layout and communicate those requirements to designers and developers. It has a lot of standard controls, so I can easily drag and drop what I want where I want it without having to do everything from scratch. It makes it easy to iterate through different options and speeds up the critical pre-design phase.

  ### 6. Exceptional Mockup Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Balsamiq Mockups makes it easy to wire fire and provide design requests to our development team. The software is great for designing web pages for UI proof of concept.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

It would be nice if you were able to collaborate on team projects but this requires additional licenses.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Best tool for producing mockups before UI design begins. There are a number of options for displaying menus and content.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web design: used to provide layout direction to our development team.

  ### 7. Very easy to use and can quickly build UI designs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

The greatest asset of Balsamiq is the ability to create UI designs in a matter of seconds/ minutes! Easily drag, drop and arrange items in order to get the look you'd like. This is also great for when you want to create a complex design but can't explain it - just demonstrate it on the app! You can also import pictures into your design and easily move things around till you find the wireframe you like best.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

One of the biggest problems I found while using Balsamiq is that it didn't support iOS which made it difficult for someone who uses mostly Apple devices. Further, it is a great tool to use if you're looking for relatively simple UI. If you want to have complex designs, unique texts, etc. this is not the tool for you.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to create UI designs quickly and easily, especially for someone without a website building background. Create unique personalized websites and easily make changes to wireframes by dragging and dropping items in the app.

  ### 8. Great program for site mapping and low to mid-fidelity prototyping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leigha M. | UX Designer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like how easy the sitemap feature is that you just create a bulleted list and it turns it into a sitemap that can be exported. I also like that they have all types of features you can add within the wire framing feature and that it keeps the look super simple.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I dislike that with the sitemap feature you can't have different sections that connect. I also don't like that their iPhone screen size is outdated so when transferring the design to the next stage it has to be re-thought.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

I would recommend this for anyone wanting to create a simple wireframe or sitemap.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a program that is great for the beginning of a UX design project because it allows you to fly through the prototype.

  ### 9. Creating mockups is balsamiq is very convenient

**Reviewed by:** mariam k. | mariam kvitsinadze, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like the most its easiness and user friendly design

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I dislike the scarce of the forms in the tool

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

balsamiq is a tool by which everyone can create mockups in a easy way. It has very user friendly design and everyone can work in it easily. So I recommend everyone to use it

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create the design of my future project and its very comfortable for me , because I can share everyone my ideas so that they can imagine its visualization

  ### 10. Best ever mockup and wireframe design software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sapan P. | Mr. Sapan Parekh, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Very easy to use and has so many design options. You can create effective wireframe within 10 minutes.

It requires installation of adobe flex. It does not provide option to export to xml format.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Best user software for UI designers

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to design various wireframes for my clients. It makes easy to visualize end product before actual implementation.

  ### 11. The best and most user friendly mockup app out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vedantha (Ved) T. | UX/UI Designer, Pharmaceuticals, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It's so simple to get a quick mockup together. It has most of the required options to generate rough mockups. I tried using pen and paper before using Balsamiq, and the output from the app was more "reviewable" if that makes sense.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Nothing to dislike. It meets all requirements adequately most of the time. Love this app.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Just try it out, I'm sure you'll love it.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I have a design in mind and I'm trying to get some initial user feedback, I just start using Balsamiq to achieve it. It's the best way to get initial direction without getting bogged down by deeper details. Because the app also exports images, I occasionally link them up for a quick and dirty prototype as well.

  ### 12. Lo-Fi Prototyping in Minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge R. | UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It's great for converting ideas into basic prototypes in very little time.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

They should update some of the presets

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A very quick and intuitive way to generate low-fidelity prototypes. Save costs!

  ### 13. Balsamiq makes wireframing easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

The usability of Balsamiq is unmatched. It is extremely user friendly and offers many options to customize your wireframe as you incision it.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

For the most part, i am very happy with Balsamiq. Sometimes the screen view is limiting as you are not able to zoom in or out to change the scope of the project.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

I highly recommend this program. It is very user friendly and such a time saver!

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to design a wireframe for a project and really see our product come to life. This aids in the design and implementation processes.

  ### 14. Quick and easy wireframes

There is nothing that I dislike at this time.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly create wireframes and discuss them before proceeding to the next step in the process.

  ### 15. Balsamiq: Best tool for simple mockups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunny Kumar M. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

-Simple to use and learn
-Quick iteration and changes can be done
-Useful for Product Managers

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Implementing layers is time-consuming
Should have better ways to connect the different mocks and present the mocks

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prototyping and wireframing for mobile, desktop and app 's new features

  ### 16. Creativity with guidance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aslesha G. | Student Ambassador - ITM Student Leadership Council, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

One of the best tools for wireframes including visual details.. I love the flexibility and other icons it offers. It made my life much easier for designing the application very quickly. Click-through prototypes to simulate how a user might flow through the site.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Nothing to be honest. But if they can improve navigation and drag/drop of elements, it would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Amazing tool for designing wire-frames. By far the best tool, i have used. Very easy to understand and use. It is pretty much self explanatory while using it.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use to create designs of my mobile applications and website. I recently used it in my academic project as well to design a prototype of new application for university.

  ### 17. Website Concepting for Potential Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

The ability to not only concept websites with very accurate detail but also think out other formats to better communicate ideas.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

The options can be overwhelming and it's hard to figure out initial sizing and placement.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to get my ideas down on page and easily concept a website design before diving into code and getting lost. It serves as a path for me to return to when I get side tracked from my initial tasks.

  ### 18. Great for mocking up product software

It's very easy to create something quick to show to developers and designers without spending too much time.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Quite limited in terms of features and no team collaboration updates.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency within the workplace in terms of design and development

  ### 19. An easy to use interface for prototyping and wire framing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wafiullah W. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

A real fast and intuitive software that allows you to brainstorm your design wishes and makes it easy for graphic designers to make original designs.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

The pricing model per project does not make sense. 2 projects is 49.99/year and then jumps to up to 20 projects

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

wireframing web apps and mobile apps for design guidelines with third party graphic designers.

  ### 20. Easy and Best Wireframing Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

The user interface is so appealing to eyes that even a kid can start making wireframes in it. Using balsamiq requires 2mins to 5 mins of initial introduction to the tool. All the figures and objects required for wireframing are readily available. Creating mockups is very easy without having a big learning curve if one has prior knowledge about the elements. It's cute looking!

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

The mockups created are not dynamic and lack some functionality compared to other mockup tools. The elements, objects and figures are limited and one has to reuse the same one for different things.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have created cool wireframes and mockups using balsamiq. It is very easy to use and that's why I recommend it to learners.

  ### 21. A wonderful introduction for UX Prototyping.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

One of the first programs I ever used for creating wireframes, was Balsamiq. It is incredibly intuitive, easy to use, and allows users to create clickable prototypes, for facets of different devices.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

When I first used Balsamiq, the user interface was a bit confusing, and not really user friendly. Also, I was hoping they would have a student version that was more cost friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Check out JustinMind too.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving problems that every day users encounter, with real world resolutions.

  ### 22. Easy Web-Based Tool for Wireframing

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert E. | Sr. Experience Designer, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Balsamiq offers a comprehensive set of reusable, established UI modules that make it easy to quickly mock up a screen for a mobile device or computer. Objects resize easily and provide some interactivity. The sketchy look to the interface you create helps reviewers focus on function rather than design.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Balsamiq has done much to increase its application speed over the years, but working with any web-based, or internet connected app is prone to speed issues and interruptions that can't be mitigated by the app. Ultimately, balsamiq requires you to be online. The need for higher fidelity options and complexity has made me move to Sketch.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Balsamiq is a great tool for guick, low-fi wireframes when you need a visual representation to gather stakeholder feedback. It's modular UI components allow for fast mockups and customizability. Take the time to watch the helpful tutorials. Think about the individual components of your wires so you can create any new you need and have them ready as you develop new wires. It's more challenging to retrofit components later in the mockup development stage.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Balsamiq has been a great tool for fast wireframing of ideas at a low fidelity to gather quick feedback from stakeholders who often respond more easily to visual representations of UI. It lets me pull an idea together quickly for feedback.

  ### 23. really easy to use but not professional

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

For new UX/ students creating a mock-up it is a really easy tool to learn. All you need to do is drag and drop. I created a mock up in 2 hours for an instagram redesign & it was easy to export and present. In terms of Learnability and intuitiveness this app is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I do not like the limitations, I need an app that allows me to make more edits and I felt confined by the options. Furthermore, it is a little bit cartooney/ unprofessional looking in certain environments. I couldn’t present that as a redesign for a military project or some of the airlines I work with.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

It’s so easy to use and if you’re looking for a simple way to make mockups that aren’t flashy looking and you don’t mind a somewhat cartooney look it’s worth it!

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would say it allows me to make a rough draft of my mock-up before creating the interactive one I will show easily and in terms of teaching it allows students to get a great idea of how to build a mock-up and for those who are not great at design they can make something look good without an artistic background.

  ### 24. Simple and powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres G. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It's simple so you don't need to struggle with advanced concepts, so It's ideal for rapid prototyping.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

When you need to go for more advanced prototypes It has limitations and the options and the available elements in the library are few.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

If you are looking for a rapid prototyping solution with an easy learning curve, this is the right software but if you have something more advanced with more interactivity capabilities, you might need to search for other options.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to quickly describe an idea of interfaces without having to design.

  ### 25. Not Amazing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like the low fidelity digitization for mock ups

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I found this to be very slow, and cumbersome to navigate.
Searching for components wasn't really intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Explore other full-cycle design tools

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Digitizing low fidelity wireframes to get buy in.

  ### 26. Great tool for conceptual design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gurava M. | Product Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Easy of use (from simple design to moderate & complex)
Extensive list of options for mock-ups (UI library)
Simplicity of the tool in saving, opening and converting them into different document formats
Alternate versions for each mock-up
Linking the screens is good for a quick demo or presentation (for interactions)
Duplicating the mockups is nice.Helps to reduce lot of rework.
We can use different colors if we need to for some differentiation and visual presentation.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

We cannot add even basic bar graphs, line charts, pie charts with some data points. We can only place the icon of the graph there which do not give much insight for the presentations.
No standard page size (screen resolution) by default given in the application (primarily for new users)

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Great tool for conceptual design and review. If you are validating your concept with users, senior leadership and your team, this tool helps to reduce the discussions around design and put more focus on concept.
For product managers, it helps to convey your ideas and thoughts to UX design team.
Design team can quickly create some designs and run it through the team using this tool which saves lot of time related to the feedback loop.
Very easy to use even for beginners and very affordable.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create Conceptual designs based on thoughts and ideas for initial discussions.
Create mock-ups based on paper prototypes for presentations and quick reviews. It helps to discuss concept rather than design.

  ### 27. The best way to showcase your ideas

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2019

Wire framing with Balsamic is the easiest way to show your ideas to your team, it allows you to design mockups of your entire application in just minutes, obtaining a well-looking start up point for your design and future branding development.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

One of the downsides is the lack of elements to build wireframes for newer devices and sometimes the application takes too long to open.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an idea of an application that is hard to explain could by a blocker, using Balsamic to wireframe your idea and the user experience can help the team to understand and develop faster.

I like the drag and drop nature of the extensive library elements. PLUS, the alignment mechanism works very well. It has very clean interface that allows free form composition without distraction. ALSO, I enjoy the easy addition of images as assets elements,

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

We use the old Flash-based version (myBalsamiq)... I wish that a transition path to the desktop version was offered w/ a similar pricing structure. PLUS, a higher-education discount would be nice!

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Try the new Balsamiq 3... It supports widely available library add-ons. The web based myBalsamiq does not.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initial layout for university web pages prior to build in Omni Update.

  ### 29. Ok for quick, simple wireframing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It's really easy to use, easy to pick up and get something done.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

The "sketch" styling of it. Seems childish

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Consider how professional you want your layouts to look. Balsamiq doesn't really produce results that scream "high quality", but they're good for quickly getting things out the door.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it mainly to put out very quick wire frame pickups of layouts early on on the development process.

  ### 30. Simple and Clean prototyping tool

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

This tool helped us to be very effective during requirement discussion to convert client ideas to a visual presentation easily.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Using grid controls is cumbersome. The editing of these controls with sample data needs to be improved for easier data manipulation.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

simple and effective tool with all the great option right on the easy access

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid prototyping and helping to bring ideas to life.

  ### 31. Simple easy and efficient

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Inbuilt templates and easy to play around with. Drag and drop is pretty easy to use. Great part is that it works great even though styles are in black and white.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Hasn't expanded a lot in the past years. Also, wireframing is becoming easier on other platforms like sketch

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Pretty great for beginners. Especially when you're just learning how to start with UI/ UX.
Also a great way to demonstrate ideas in a team where you can quickly whip up something from scratch. Thanks to the inbuilt elements and templates.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

wireframing is becoming easier on other platforms like sketch. Need a better user experience for usage

  ### 32. Good tool for creating mockups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** rati k. | rati, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like it's easiness and very comfortable design

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I dislike that it doesn't have full package of creating design, for example linking figures and pages

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

I advise this tool everyone who wants to make a sketch of their product/project

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create the design and suggest it to others and get feedback from them

  ### 33. Good Mock up tool with extensive options for both Web and mobie

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It makes wireframing easy and hassle-free, most of the utility options are available as a drag and drop feature. Mobile wireframing is great since it lets you upload images too

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Unlike other wireframing tools, this is balck&white and hence it is not very visually appealing for creators

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Integrations if possible should be done Since UX teams designs it and they could share it on the task board for developers to have a look at it and may also create views for developers where they can just view and not edit the design

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developed wireframing for redesign and also helped in deliverables of mobile application during the initial stages of product prototyping

  ### 34. yessss

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Daily I use this tool to validate the user interface. Whenever there is a use case which I need to resolve in our product, I directly open this tool and start scratching. Yes, I start from the scratch, by having the components separated as a collage. Then I skin the UI by placing them in the positions which looks subtle and usable. Skinning the UI with this tool is easier. Just pick and play and the simplicity of this tool is THE key thing that I like in this tool. Minimized UI is something that we can achieve by splitting the UI into different frames. We can place the components in our desired place to check if customers can feel the importance of the applied element in the page that we are building. We can easily put ourselves in the user's shoes and think from their perspective to check if we are working on a usable interface. Moreover, the linking between the pages/tiles help us to see how the transition between each pages looks like. I usually go with RAW prototypes by scribbling in my notes. After I started using the Balsamiq tool, I go ONE STEP BEYOND scribbling. Yes, I do mocks and share with my visual designers to think through the page/feature that we want to build. This has helped our designers to a great extend. The time of making them understand the flow and designs has drastically come down. Also, the number of iterations has minimized which in turn has improved the quality of the designs that we are converging. of course, the productive has improved a lot in terms of peer-to-peer level convergence.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Designing the interface for Mobile Skins, and apps for Apple Watch seems to be a show-stopper. This has to be addressed. At times the screen resolution doesn't supports to take the screen shot from a laptop and to use it in the Balsamiq tool.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease Of Use. Quick Search. Default Icon set. The switch between Wireframe and Sketch i modes easier. I personally like the linking between the pages.

  ### 35. Love this product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer B. | Product Manager, Growth, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Balsamiq is easy to use, perfect for spinning up quick wireframes

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Sometimes with Balsamiq you sacrifice flexibility/customizability for simplicity/usability

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anyone can learn balsamiq quickly and pull together simple wireframes to communicate their vision, but over time you can learn the secrets of how to make balsamiq mockups look just like a high fidelity wireframe that can be put in front of a customer for testing without being distractingly simple

  ### 36. Easy and intuitive to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like the fact that the software is easy to use and very intuitive. It has a drag and drop interface which makes designing very easy. It has an amazing collection of repositories to use to create mockups and wireframes.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I think it should have a feature for collaboration. This helps the designers to work together. I also think that there should be more items added to the repository like ready-made widgets.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped a lot in designing workflows and wireframes. wireframing is really important to lay the foundation for any interface and with Balsamiq, it has been very efficient.

  ### 37. I use balsamiq for creating mockups for my future projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Mostly I like the UI and UX of the tool. its very easy to use and has user friendly design

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I don't like the bareness of the forms and assets of the tool

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

I recommend everyone this tool, who needs easy and convenient way to build their project mockups

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily build the design of my future project to show them other team members and share my opinion

  ### 38. Great tool for digital wireframes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kirk M. | Account Executive, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Easy to use interface, cloud based storage, and website layout is simple and straight forward. As someone with poor handwriting, digital wireframes are a life saver.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I'm being overly critical, but a mobile app would be nice in order to do mobile prototyping, although balsamiq is far more focused on early stage wireframes and they clearly state that.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

It's a great simple tool if you are looking for a way to digitize your wireframes and concepts. Being that it is also cloud based helps with collaboration.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Balsamiq is helping me create wireframes during my study of UX design. I also utilize balsamiq during the discovery phase in order to hash out ideas and concepts.

  ### 39. Great for beginning stages of design

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I love that it makes it easy to conceptualize layout and very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I wish there was additional functionality to actually add in more design elements to bring the mock-up to life after approval.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We like to use it in order to collaboratively come up with a layout for our web apps without overthinking things like fonts and color.

  ### 40. Balsamiq Wireframing Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

Best part of Balsamiq is their user interface. It is very intuitive and easy to use. You can use lot of different icons as well as images when working on your project. It is preferred industry wide compared to some of the other tools out there. Best tool if you are starting a fresh new project.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

No easy way for multiple users to work on the same project. If I need to have a co worker be able to edit the same design I am working on, it could get difficult. The UI is simple but it could also look like a legacy UI which has been there for years. Not the best tool if you are working on existing designs and need to modify imported images especially.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Balsamiq is one of the better wireframing tools out there. Yes it has some challenges but overall makes it easier to design projects. You can even start a conversation on the side with your team, get feedback on your design and make instantaneous changes.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used some of the other tools before and this was a better user experience in comparison. Pricing of this tool doesn't depend on how many people use it but it depends on how many projects you have. So a project involving large team can still be cheap. Lot of built in support and help videos for people who are learning.

  ### 41. Easy to use, great for design trials

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like that we can create mock ups of how we want pages to look. It helps create buy-in with the customers and helps ensure that everyone is on the same page, including the client, functional support, and developers.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I personally haven't experienced any downsides. I really like the software so far.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to create mock ups of our functional design for inclusion in functional design documents so that our clients can see and review. It helps ensure we all know what will be developed and eliminates the need for rework down the line during testing when something isn't what was expected.

  ### 42. Low fidelity design tool helps get the right level of feedback

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like that a designer can use Balsamiq to prepare a prototype that gets the right level of feedback from stakeholders. People tend to focus on ideas and concepts and solutions at a higher level when the design looks half-baked and unprofessional. Balsamiq knows this and helps professionals appear unprofessional for the purpose of getting good feedback. It's counter-intuitive but very helpful. Too often a stakeholder will get focused on details like a color or a few pixels on a better looking design and miss the bigger, more important feedback opportunity. Balsamiq helps avoid that confusion.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

It's sufficiently difficult to use, though the interface is relatively straightforward. Zooming in and out drives me crazy because gestures don't work. You need a keyboard-mouse combination or a menu item to make it happen. The UI is sufficiently different from other design tools made by Adobe (Illustrator) or Bohemian (Sketch) that it feels like having to learn a new language. Feels inefficient to manipulate things within Balsamiq, despite the good output.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Low fidelity mockups, and rapid prototypes of digital solutions.

  ### 43. Balsamiq Review from an overworked BA

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Import and Export | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I love the ease at which I can create wireframes. The elements that Balsamiq includes in their program allows me to create very realistic user interfaces to give a 'real feel' to my development team. There's also the ability to make the mock ups even more realistic with clickable links that allow you to move through a simulation of your UI. The software is user friendly, and very easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

my company has moved to a "material" design environment, and I'm no longer able to use Balsamiq for my routine mockups. I do still rely on it when I have to make changes to our "legacy" OS that is still in production.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

This product can be used for entry level users/creators. It's so easy to learn and easy to use. It is also perfect for the more experienced users/creators. There are some great advanced features. I've rarely had a situation where I could not create the UI that I needed to. There are so many features and components available for desktop as well as mobile. I have personally only created mockups for desktop UI, as mobile is not part of our business as of yet, but those features and components are available in the software.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily and quickly create a mock up for demonstration purposes if needed. Balsamiq has helped me to clearly iterate exactly what I need for my user interfaces. When doing a demonstration of my Balsamiq created mockups, I'm able to quickly change the mockup in 'real time' with my group.

  ### 44. Easy, cheap and extremely user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddhant S. | Venture Capital Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like how user-friendly the interface is. There is almost no time wasted on having to understand how everything works. Also, you can do multiple projects at once even with the free trial (which doesn't require a credit card - also a nice touch).

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Nothing specific, I wish there was more functionality as far as carryover to the actual website building, but that's a con with most wireframe tech.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

N/A

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We reworked our website.

  ### 45. It's great for what it is

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It's simple for lofi wireframing and getting thoughts down quickly.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I feel like there could be additional features that could enhance the experience. The UI is a little oldschool and could use a refresh. If there were more premade elements/assets that could be used, it would be more impactful and easier for wireframing instead of having to try and hack together the desired experience in some cases.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Again, just UI enhancements, more features and possibly device templates/mock ups that are more seamless.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly UI/UX wireframing flows

  ### 46. A great tool for digital sketches

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** M M. | Educationist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It is very user friendly and has abundant options. I really appreciated the duplicating option. It really helped save time

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

Wish there was an option to add graphs with details

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps visualize design on a screen for discussion before actually putting it out to work

  ### 47. It's okay

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

I like that it has some pre-set templates that you can use and love that everything is represented as a rough sketch. It really helps a team focus on what matters, rather than getting nit-picky about color and design. They also have a trial period where you can see if the product is right for you.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

It is pricey for what you get; you could almost just use powerpoint for what you get

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Balsamiq is great for low-fidelity wireframes, but falls short for everything else you would need in the wireframing process, like hi-fidelity wireframes and being able to demonstrate workflow from screen to screen

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI design/wireframing; helping teams focus on the core design before getting sucked into aesthetics. It is a quick low-fidelity wireframing tool

  ### 48. Good for web page mockups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

There are a bunch of precreated assets to choose from that are typically included in a web page which makes it easy to design, and places to add comments

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

I wouldn't necessarily share the design beyond my team because it's a pretty low tech mockup

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

It's a basic easy to use option for designing a web page and getting ideas for engineering

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to mockup what a new software design could look like and add comments/get feedback before passing off to engineering to create

  ### 49. Consultant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

The ease of creating mockups is amazing in this tool. It really helped me a lot to create mockups for a client of mine with strict timelines.

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

There is nothing to dislike at the moment in the tool. It works amazing and is very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

It is a go to tool and worth trying it.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating mockups and wireframes after capturing the business requirements by the customer and helping them understand the to be look and feel of the product post implementation.

  ### 50. Good tool but Library needs to be extensive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Balsamiq?**

It is simple to use and Tools are very neatly organized so easily accessible and inbuilt library just does it job

**What do you dislike about Balsamiq?**

When I used the product there was no cloud sharing feature and also Library was not so extensive. Comparing with Axure or any other tools, I guess having wide options for users makes them use applications for different reasons.

**Recommendations to others considering Balsamiq:**

Build a cloud sharing option and also please keep updating the libraries and different form factors.

**What problems is Balsamiq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we use it to build the low fidelity mockups and We had got some non-Designers to do this too so that they can present their idea in an easy way
