Great for quickly throwing together a design idea in a wireframe to share with teammates and for quick user flow feedback. When using the tool, I often make a mockup and then export as a PDF to print out and test paper prototypes with users for feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A tad rigid in some of the functionality which sometimes makes me choose to use another tool that allows me to mainly sketch the idea out. Additional customization would help a lot for improving the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use. Gives a feel of using pen and paper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can include more predefined shapes and templates that can be choosed. Export feature doesnot include preview kind feel making hotspot feature not much usable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how it is very easy to drag and drop controls onto the screen. Also, all you need to do is save your mock-up as PDF and the client can easily click through to see how the app flow will work. Balsamiq saves a lot of time in terms of requirements gathering as the client can see and approve the sketch of the app without us having to design the apps UI in an IDE. Some of the controls and components are a bit rigid in terms of what you can do with them when designing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how quickly you can build up a wireframe, both static and clickable, and have a number of button, text, and CTA elements available to you Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel like it's sometimes difficult to find the design element you're looking for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Balsamiq mockups lets me create beautiful wireframe prototypes in minutes, it supports a wide range of prototypes from web prototyping to mobile UI prototyping and desktop software prototyping. To use Balsamiq mockups one does not need to be a user experience ninja, one can simply know to use a basic word processor and the same skills can be translated into Balsamiq mockups wire framing. Drag and drop mockup creation is the area in which Balsamiq excels the most. I am not a design expert by any means, but Balsamiq lets me create , export and share beautiful interface prototypes before e spend any time in coding these apps. Balsamiq mockups does not have much flaws, it is robustly built, but the number one complaint for me is the lack of Linux or tablet apps to do these mockups. These days more and more designers are ditching their desktops and laptops for the convenience of their tablets, the developers of Balsamiq mockups need to be mindful of this and release tablet apps that are compatible with the apple pencil and other styluses. If you're someone like me that is worse than a kindergartener at drawing, creating UI mock-ups and prototypes can be a huge pain. Even if you're a seasoned pro at sketching UI mockups, it takes time to create and it takes even more time to edit your paper prototype's features. Balsamiq enables users of all skill levels to create a wire frame prototype in seconds. Users can export the prototypes to PNGs or PDF. If users want to do physical prototype testing, the mockups can be printed easily. I like the wide array of native components that are available inside of Balsamiq to create not only web UI prototypes but also Mobile interfaces. Your search for the best wire-framing mockup tool ends with Balsamiq Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to export the components to SVG would be a welcome addition to the already phenomenal tool. Apart from this there is not much to complain about Basamiq as it the industry leader when it come to wire-framing tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Symbols, which I can re-use again and again for the common elements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cannot type in the value for the scroll bars from the UI Library. The only way is to adjust the slider accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wireframing is a rapid prototyping technique and is crucial in designing interfaces for human computer interaction. Balsamiq is used by UX designers and it is the go to standard for designing web interfaces and mobile interfaces. It is very expensive to design full fidelity prototypes but Balsamiq makes it super cheap and convenient to create wireframes. It enables even newbie users to generate stunning prototypes. Before using Balsamiq I was sketching prototypes on paper, but these prototypes were not easily editable, I had to erase many pars and redraw them. But with Balsamiq editing these prototypes was a breeze, I could incorporate changes suggested by my teammates easily. They offer both desktop and cloud apps that can get your prototype up in minutes. Balsamiq comes with a good set of inbuilt icons. It also lets users import their own assets. It is easy to export these prototypes to PDF and PNG. Adding components to Balsamiq is as simple as a drag and drop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Balsamiq isn't as feature rich for high fidelity prototyping, in scenarios like that I use Sketch, It would be awesome if they let me invite another user to the desktop app to collaborate with me. The licensing fee could be made a bit less expensive. Also the app consumes a lot RAM so it might be slow in older machines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We can place the components in the desired place to verify if customers can feel the importance of the element applied on the page we are creating. We can easily put ourselves in the user's place and think from their perspective to verify if we are working on a usable interface. In addition, the link between the pages and mosaics helps us see how the transition between each page looks, I usually use RAW prototypes scribbling in my notes after starting to use the Balsamiq tool and everything worked as expected. Multiple display screens the canvas size could be improved since it could be a problem if the user wanted to draw multiple screens, not dynamic enough, the program only exports to certain file formats what is inefficient for many users, in the same way if the user wants to create something customized from scratch the built-in forms can be a bit restrictive. Balsamiq is a good tool to create quick wireframes. these wireframes are created as prototypes for our client projects. Balsamiq has good elements to create the wireframes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to dislike about Balsamiq. Most elements are available and is used in flowcharts by our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use three products from Exact Synergy, the Exact Globe, Exact Event Manager and the Exact Synergy workflow. The Exact Globe used by the accounting department to maintain general ledger and account balance, the product have simple interface easy to understand. The other product Exact Event Manager it is used for automating the workflow process and an event monitor for Exact Synergy, the product serves its function but lacks the simplicity of configuring each task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Exact Globe needs an urgent update, as the current version performs slow with the latest .Net Framework 4.6, we have informed Exact support about the issue and have not receive any response from them.
Exact Synergy interface can be complicated to use, and it lacks customization, staff members are unable to create their own workflow the control is only given to the admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to turn real life artefacts into something that looks more cartoon like really helps the end user to visualise and able to articulate their requirements more clearly and succinctly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Balsamiq to make wireframes beginning in the design process. We draw simply the mockups and later we use the images with another tool to get the application workflow completed. This is much more useful than trying to describe requirements in words to the developers. The analyst team uses Balsamiq regularly to wireframe use cases for business review and approval of concepts. Balsamiq is simply a quick way of drawing out your idea. There is very good support from the vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We can not share files via the web.
Text input function can be a bit tricky.
Limited User Interface elements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like balsamiq since it helped me to improve the designed screens that store in files of extension bmml, a language of the application, based on xml, that can be interpreted to obtain the design information created, this helps us later to be able to create the project as similar as possible to our sketch on paper. While we do it in pencil, we make changes, we cross out, we have better ideas and these sketches become the prototype. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest, it does not have anything to displease me, since it serves to create flowcharts, uml and others it is very versatile, it also facilitates me to draw an idea quickly, so that I can move on to a more detailed prototype. If you need a simple tool for models and fast structures, Balsamiq is a too simple option for employees to develop excellent projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like this tool because it is very easy to use and it has also allowed us to design our model of structure is Balsamiq. Thanks to the same we can establish what will be the configuration of our website, even has a free version of Try web demo and one of payment, very useful and that can save us a lot of time and efforts. Balsamiq has no comparison because in my company we have tested other products and can get complicated quickly, while this tool keeps everything simple and powerful when using it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I may come to dislike of this great tool is that it has spreadsheets can be a little slow, but so with this advantage there is nothing more that I do not like about Balsamiq. It's also fast, cheap, and almost anyone can use this with minimal software education. My team must be agile and iterate over ideas, prototypes and design flows quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I mostly like its easy to use design. everyone can use it without difficulties Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that it has a few forms and tools to create mockups , in general its enough to create what you want, but would be better if would be much more forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Learning curve = 5 min
Really that simple. But that means not too much features, but in this case, it's a good thing.
Option for online version or desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Software is based on Adobe air, so doesn't feel 100% made for Windows/mac, but it's still pretty much ok. Online version is pretty great but you pay on a monthly basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to create an interactive mockup with multiple screens and pages to understand the user experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The look and feel is very "drawn" which is great to communicate ideas but not professional once moving forward through to the design process with developers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
