What do you like best about WinZip System Utilities Suite?

If you want to Zip file and share to someone then this is the perfect software. The best feature in this software is the dialog box that it prompts after compressing the file i.e., before and after compressing the file size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?

There are multiple instances where the files are getting corrupted. Not sure why but this is one concern am having. Apart from this, software works like charm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think this is the goto software when you want to compress the excel files. So, if your organization is having loads of excel files then I surely recommend this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WinZip System Utilities Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using this software, excel files will compress a lot and I can add multiple files and share it via email at one go instead of sharing in multiple emails. Using this software, we have saved loads of disk space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Classic archiver. Not the best on market"

What do you like best about WinZip System Utilities Suite?

WinZip is a classic tool for archiving and unarchiving your files in the ZIP format. Starting in the 1990ies from the basic functionality of archiver, it eventually upgraded in the 2000-2010ies to multitool which combines functions like AES archive encryption, basic system backups, archive uploading on your FTP or cloud services like OneDrive or Google Drive, direct compact disc or burning, integration with system and external systems. At the moment it supports not only ZIP files but also other popular archive formats like RAR, 7Z, etc. It works pretty stably while you work in a typical environment. What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?

WinZip is not a very modern solution. It contains many legacy functions, which are nor actual nor common nowadays. Also WinZip does not support modern archive types like RAR5. For some of archive types, like 7Z or RAR, it supports unarchiving, but does not support archiving in these types. Some features like creating self-extracted archive are moved from WinZip to another products, which causes the need to pay for tool one more time. Some features like system context menu are still implemented not very well. Archiving and unarchiving speeds are not reliable comparing to its main competitors like WinRAR or 7Z. Winzip is a very helpful tool in my day to day work. The most important features of winzip application is it is extremely easy to pack and unpack any data in your system. I can't get WinZip to deal with my problems. They do not respond to my emails. The utilities did not install properly. I have the registration numbers, but nothing works as it should. If I could, I would want my $100 plus back! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The activation key does not work and customer service is ridiculously bad. Tried calling "24/7" support and only got unrelated automated sales offers followed by "robot Emma" who asked for my problem and the company name [?!?!] and then said id did not recognize that company [Winzip, Corel, Cleverbridge] no matter what I said. Now Email customer service is refusing to refund my money even though they boasted a no-questions money-back guarantee. I'm DONE. I haven't time for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
