What do you like best about Wicket?

"Review on Wicket Framework"

What do you like best about Wicket?

A good frontend framework to implement GUIs for a secure application.

A big advantage of Wicket is the focus on Java, and the availability of rich development environment tools like Eclipse. Also the very clean separation of business logic from presentation aspects of the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wicket?

If you come from the Servlet/JSP/Struts direction then it takes a lot of unlearning to understand the way Wicket models things Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Wicket:

If you looking for a highly secure frontend framework for your MVC based application then wicket is a good choice to develop the secure application. That will give you less hurdle for multiple configuration management because there are no multiple configurations like other frameworks and we just need to write wicket code only with java code. What problems is Wicket solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Wicket, I have developed my whole application GUI part which was very good to develop with Wicket which provides all ways of security to our application. As we have fewer configurations in comparison to other frameworks and we have only java code to write all wicket code which makes it great for one of the Java developers to work on the Wicket framework. What do you like best about Wicket?

I love how Wicket integrates seamlessly with Mailchimp, allowing our members and associates to easily update their communication preferences and allowing us to easily target our messages to specific sections of our membership. In addition to being extremely user friendly, Wicket is also very mobile-friendly, allowing me to look up membership information on my phone or computer quickly and easily. What do you dislike about Wicket?

Change is always a little scary, while things are working well now, there were some hiccups getting our website, Mailchimp account and Wicket all working together but the Wicket team were extremely supportive and eager to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Take the plunge, you won't regret it. Wicket is easy to use, integrates with existing software you are using and gives you instant access to reliable membership data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Wicket solving and how is that benefiting you?

With our old database we would manually sync our membership list with Mailchimp once a week. In addition to taking up valuable staff time this also meant that if a member or associate updated their contact information this change could take up to a week to reach our email distribution list. With Wicket, any updates made to membership profiles instantly sync with Mailchimp.

In terms of benefits,thanks to the information we collect through Wicket, we are able to offer our 3rd party advertisers increased options to target our members and associates who have expressed interest in receiving 3rd party ads.
