Since the start of the school year, we have professionalized our digital communications by adopting the Whaller application for the teams at École Sainte Adèle and École Primaire Saint Christophe.

We have gained in security, clarity, organization and professional posture. The feedback is generally positive, even if quitting one's communication habits is not always easy. I think the idea of creating a collaboration space that resembles common social media interfaces was a good idea and helps make onboarding much smoother. Once many of our Whaller users could see the layout and functionality of our Whaller account, they could quickly get assimilated into projects that we're working on and not require as much training and getting use to the system. Of course, there are several differences that put Whaller apart from other social media platforms, but those features, such as sharing files and calendars, are relatively easy to use. I would probably like to see more custom options for the layout in Whaller. I understand that Whaller is going for a social media look where people post on an activity feed and have different panels were they can add content, but I think it could be more useful if we could change layouts more drastically to suit our particular project needs.
