Webroot allows for very detailed tailoring of the fake phishing emails. We have been able to make them extremely realistic and mirror Microsoft emails and others. The associated training for users is also easy to understand is very accurately illustrates what they need to look for. **What do you dislike about Webroot Security Awareness Training?** The licensing model does not make it as easy to only pay for months you need to use it. Doing training monthly or more often would be ideal. However, not all of our clients want to pay to have the constant charge. They still want training, but only a handful of times per year. We were able to work with Webroot to find a way to accomplish this, but the licensing model is clearly not meant to encourage this option. **Recommendations to others considering Webroot Security Awareness Training:** They offer a 30-day trial, so that is a great way to test it out to see what it offers. Having some sort of phishing training to offer clients is highly valuable. It is very simple to set up and configure, and provides a number of options. I've tested phishing campaigns with Go Phish and SecTools. This is by far a superior product. It lets you keep track of all the actions a user performed, and allows users to be redirected to training videos upon clicking on a phishing link. This is an important item, as many other products, simply tell you that the end user fell victim to the attack, and captures the details they provided, however, the "training" stops there. Going that extra step of providing information on what they did wrong, and how to prevent it from happening again speaks volumes. It teaches users to be proactive. **What do you dislike about Webroot Security Awareness Training?** As good as this product is, the only thing i could probably say i dislike is the price point. Although you cant put a number on security and training, most companies do not want to pony up. The only other issue is small, but if you have Webroot DNS enabled, or you have the Webroot Web Plugin, web browsers seem to block the link being opened. The fact you can target courses and run an entire program of courses and Phishing tests to a useful feature. Some good convincing phishing templates and we have created a new one for mime cast which was great! If we could have a workflow that said 'when I create a user in Office 365, automatically enroll these courses' then ' in 1 month enroll these courses' etc plus running phishing campaigns the product would require far less admin overhead. Now, the best part about this training programme is how easy it is to send out these fake emails, a quick 5 minutes to choose what will be included in the email and where the link in the email will go to. It's easy and very evil for some of the choices, there are some templates which make you laugh like a villian when you read through it. Experienced users can still get caught out by these emails, much more so when the emails are directed towards programs they use frequently, for example; if your users use dropbox, microsoft office or gmail. You get reports when your users have clicked on the link, so its pretty good to find out who might need more training or a potential visit. **What do you dislike about Webroot Security Awareness Training?** This is a good product by Webroot. However with all good products, there are downsides. Recently, when trying send out a security training email with a fake link, when we clicked on the link to test where it would be going; chrome, firefox and (to an extent) edge blocked the website for us. At first I thought, "hey, thats good of google" then I realised the problem that these websites that webroot are using are being blocked by the browsers and this causes problems with the training, the user's wont get trained because the broswer has blocked the websites. Webroot should be aware of these changes. Navigation of the Security Awareness Training page is missing functionality, there are boxes which give you information of how many targets (users) you have and how many campaigns have been launched. You can't click them to view the information, instead you have to navigate through different menu's to get there. This is more of a quality of life implementation that should of been there from the start. Adding new targets (users) to the overall company target list is an obsolete pain, you only have one choice, to import a list with all your new targets details. Say, if you needed to add multiple people, sure this method works nicely and is easy to do. But if you wanted to add one or two new people, you need to download a new file and add one or two lines in and then reupload, when a simple add button with the fields on, done through the website would be more efficient and wouldn't annoy techs. And that's the things I dislike with this programme, maybe the points I listed are small and petty points, but they are what can turn people away from using a product. Even through these bad points I still recommend this product. **Recommendations to others considering Webroot Security Awareness Training:** Use it to test your customers regularly and see if they need further training once they have clicked on the fatal link. **What problems is Webroot Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefits we have realised, would be that we can test who in the business is liable to click on a link which could cost the company, in money and lost data. In catching these users out they can watch the informational video and realised they shouldn't rush into the email and click the link. This has increased the security of the businesses' we monitor, as when we call the users to follow up on their link click they know that it was not a good idea to do so and we are able to educate them further. ### 45.
