Their support team is extremely responsive and helpful - they will literally walk you through how to do something step by step to ensure you set something up properly. Their knowledge base is immense and they are constantly offering trainings and webinars. **What do you dislike about WatchGuard Network Security?** I honestly haven't come across anything that I dislike about WatchGuard. Everything from their support team/partner managers, to their knowledge base and products - everything is fantastic. **What problems is WatchGuard Network Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are helping to reduce the ever-changing threat of cybersecurity. They are constantly researching to find new threats and make sure that their customers are protected from them. They allow us to deploy security devices to our customers at ease as we know they will function as they should. ### 2. We have them in place at dozens of customer sites and they have never failed us. The support is brilliant, the devices are easy to use and the surrounding products (e.g. DNS Watch) are brilliant too. **What do you dislike about WatchGuard Network Security?** Not much to dislike, we've had a few issues but support are always quick to fix it, or raise a feature request on our behalf. The only major thing I've found lacking is lack of websocket support in WebBlocker but this has been raised for us a feature request. **What problems is WatchGuard Network Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping our customers secure. We recently rolled out a block against Russian/Belarusian traffic to all our customers using Geo Filtering which helped our customers feel safer with emerging cyber threats. ### 3. To be able to take advantage of good IT protection and constant updates. **What do you dislike about WatchGuard Network Security?** The reporting is cumbersome and provides a lot of raw data that is not really useable for executive reports or application layer reporting. There is an Executive Summary report that you can run, but it doesnt really translate into a business case without a supplemental explanation. **Recommendations to others considering WatchGuard Network Security:** This security solution appeals to me since it has a system management panel that allows users to change and maintain rules in a single location and distribute them to several locations as required. The traffic monitoring and full panel dashboard are the most useful and outstanding features. Most of the setting options are much easier to understand than with some of the other options we've tried. **What problems is WatchGuard Network Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some security features so we can call it a firewall, but not a UTM/NGFW. The licensing model is flexible based on need, with "Basic" and "Total" security offerings. Their cloud management and monitoring capabilities have improved over the past couple of years to make managing a fleet of WatchGuard appliances easier. **What do you dislike about WatchGuard Network Security?** Some features such as client VPN options have varying levels of requirements for other on-site gateways that are more complex to implement than being able to just connect to the WatchGuard Cloud or integrate easily with "cloud-native" organizations (such as Azure AD/Office 365) for authentication, MFA, etc. It would be awesome of all of the client VPN options worked in the same way (IKEv2, SSL VPN, IPsec) for user authentication and MFA implementation. Right now, some can tie into local Active Directory where others require RADIUS instead. On the client VPN front, it would also be nice to have an option for an "always on" VPN type of connection that happens at the computer/device level rather than the user level for simplifying access for folks working remotely (think AD-joined laptops and issues around expired passwords). **What problems is WatchGuard Network Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** WatchGuard firewalls provide a robust set of security tools at the DNS, antivirus, content filtering, geo-filtering, reputation-based filtering, IDS, etc. The firewalls are a great layer of protection for our business. ### 21. But it is still a breeze to do. **Recommendations to others considering WatchGuard Network Security:** We used to use Watchguard years ago, then moved to SonicWall, then they got bought up, so we searched for a suitable replacement.
