Our group serves K12 education, and with social media being the major platform for connecting, 15-second videos (or less) are key. The team are so fun and helpful, I can't thank them enough for being a great team!! **What do you dislike about Vyond?** Just a couple of minor things come to mind: (1) Logging in can something take a while, as I need to receive the Authentication Code several times, so logging in can take 3-4 attempts, before I can access my videos (2) On the shape assets (rectangles + squares) in the props, I wish there were more anchor points, so I can stretch a shape to my exact liking, rather than it expanding using its own ratio settings **What problems is Vyond solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Vyond tool, is helping me create training material, GIF's and cool effects to help grab people's attention within our training modules. It offers many different templates, many different styles of animation, a host of backgrounds, props, and characters that can be adapted in a number of ways. You can use their fonts or upload your own. You can import your own assets: video, audio, images. You can easily render the final product as a video or separate scenes as gifs. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** Vyond needs to add better mechanisms for managing the assets on the screen, including better use of layering, and the ability to lock and hide items while editing. While they continue to add different props, character attributes, etc., they need to expand the number of possible actions by characters. Also, the ability to search for actions that are static vs. those that move. **What problems is Vyond solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vyond has been a game-changer for our eLearning during the pandemic. We'd been filming live-action videos for training and had to stop because of COVID. We began using Vyond to demonstrate procedures and discovered that it freed us up to make more engaging, creative videos than we were able to do with live-action. We can show sensitive medical procedures (e.g., taking a rectal temperature), which would be impossible to film with actors. We may never go back! ### 24. Much more engaging then PowerPoint **What do you like best about Vyond?** The whole procedure was more engaging and we felt like it made the training process so much more fun. The program itself makes it so much easier to keep up with training **What do you dislike about Vyond?** We had to use company tablets for the training and we couldn't zoom in on some details but I feel that was more the tablets fault not the software. They look bored when they talk. **Recommendations to others considering Vyond:** If you have used other software like Articulate, you may feel compelled out of habit to try to cram a bunch of triggers or motions into one scene. Don't view scenes in Vyond like slides in other programs. Just do one trigger or motion and start a new scene. I initally started with an hour induction from one of the team at Vyond, Reid. Reid was extremely helpful, ensuring I had all the tools and knowledge to hit the ground running. Within a couple of weeks I had produced my first video and the follow-up support is always there if necessary. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** It is honestly hard to find a fault in the software, you can tell it was designed by creators for creators. If you don't know where to find a specific tool then help is never too far away. I run in to one small issue around recording my own audio, the sound would sometimes come out with a faint crackle, that could be heard at higher volumes. To mitigate this, I recorded my own audio in Audacity and simply imported it in to Vyond and on to the timeline, without detriment to the 'lip-syncing' feature on talking avatars. **Recommendations to others considering Vyond:** Make use of all the support offered as this can really give you a head start in using Vyond. **What problems is Vyond solving and how is that benefiting you?** Members of my team already used Vyond however I have found it a valuable tool to have, especially when it comes to sharing a message.
