Virtel Web Access is a browser-based 3270 and 5250 terminal emulator that gives users secure access to IBM mainframe and IBM i applications (CICS, IMS, TSO, Natural) from any device — with nothing to install on workstations. Unlike client-based TN3270 emulators or middle-tier server solutions, Virtel's architecture is 100% host-based: no client software, no Windows middle-tier server, no Java or ActiveX. Deployment and support happen in one place, cutting emulation costs by up to 80% compared to traditional alternatives. Key capabilities: secure HTTPS/TLS connections, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), SAML integration, session management replacing VTAM session managers, PFK-based navigation preserved (virtual PFKs on mobile devices), and identical screen look and behavior — zero user retraining. Virtel Web Access is developed by Syspertec Group, a mainframe software vendor with 30+ years of connectivity expertise.

**What do you like best about Virtel Web Access?**

With Virtel being browser based and mainframe hosted, we have eliminated one of our most time-consuming issues and maintenance headaches. By keeping system access within the mainframe area, we are more readily able to assist our customers. The cost savings are only amplified by the multitude of functions provided by Virtel that allowed us to eliminate other products.

**What do you dislike about Virtel Web Access?**

Our only issue with Virtel is that some CICS transactions require updating due to LU nailing limitations.

**What problems is Virtel Web Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old emulator software was client based and required outside groups to install, support and maintain. Now, we spend way less time advising other groups about the client configuration and are able to resolve any issues or request much quicker.
