## Verbit Reviews
  ### 1. ADA Compliant Captioning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cynthia E. | Instructional Technology Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

As a highed ed institution, when we provide captioning, it must meet ADA standards, which means a human checks the captioning generate by AI. Generally Verbit provides an excellent turnaround time on captioning. This is especially important when students with accommodations are waiting for a captioned video. Accuracy is outstanding. As a medical institution, there are a multitude of technical terms. We can provide documentation to Verbit of terminology that the human checkers may not be familiar with, in order to enhance the accuracy of the captioning.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

As stated initially, overall we are please with Verbit. On rare occasions there is a lag in turnaround time for captioning. I am not sure how to resolve this issue, just brininging it to Verbit's attention.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing ADA compliant captioned videos for students. They are also worked with Canvas to provide integration of Verbit with Canvas Studio. This was a game-changer for us!

  ### 2. Great resources

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

The ability to select how long it will take to have my captions returned to me.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The interface can sometimes be confusing to use, especially when uploading multiple vidoes.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit helps us transcribe our video content.

  ### 3. Verbit is a life saver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I first used Verbit during the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020. My college was required to go fully online with all our classes, and this meant making hours of lecture videos. But to comply with regulations, we needed captions, and properly and accurately captioning a video takes almost double the length of any given video. So, using Verbit saved me hours and hours of time. Instead of spending time watching and rewatching my videos for captioning, Verbit consistently produced near perfect captioning for all my videos, always getting my files back within a business day. Verbit is easy to use as it produces many different file types that are compatible with popular services like YouTube. I don't know what I would have done without it. I highly recommend it to anyone who quickly needs accurate captions for their videos without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

There is nothing about Verbit I dislike. It was easy to learn, easy to use, and super convenient.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My college is required to have accurate captions for all videos used in our course lectures. Verbit quickly and easily transcribes captions for videos and saves hours of work per video.

  ### 4. Absolutely Love Verbit!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda C. | Director, Accessibility Resources Center, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit customer service is superb! There is no time that I contact them that my problem is not resolved and in a very timely manner! I have been a johnny come lately with making requests and they always do their best to accommodate. There has not been even one time that they have not been able to meet the accommodation need. My students have only good things to say about the service and they are always looking to improve the product and services available to partners. Absolutely love my rep, David! Can't say enough good things about him. Keeps me abreast of new developments and takes my ideas back to the team. Absolutely love the new GenV. I think our students will love its features as well given that it will help them with studying!!

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

There are two things that I dislike and they are 1) quarterly billing is not really quarterly; if you go over what they billed you, they still bill you before the next quarter. And 2) If you schedule late and make a mistake it becomes semi-permanent cost-wise. You have to reach out to your rep to get charges removed though you just made the request a minute ago, and you just made a mistake and want to correct it. So be very careful when scheduling late appointments to check and recheck everything!

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit captioning has provided our increasing number of students with deafness and hearing impairments access to all of their remote classes. Staff have access to our zoom meetings of which their are many and families and other members of the university community have access to our Town Halls and broad meetings used to disseminate information to the university community. Some of our faculty have used Verbit to caption online conferences sponsored by the university. We have used it for our online Student Orientation Programs and student organizations have used Verbit for remote events and activities. It has been great to see all of our university community included in our online presence.

  ### 5. Six years of experience working with Verbit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kostiantyn P. | Speech recognition engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

A few things I like about Verbit are its user-friendly interface, accurate ASR, and customer-oriented approach. I use it every day; it's integrated into our system.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Verbit does not offer a peer-to-peer service; you need to sign a contract in order to use it.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit helps us transcribe recordings of our seminars.

  ### 6. Verbit has helped streamline the tedious process of transcribing and summarizing testimonials

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

At Bisk, we have quite a few accounts with Verbit and use it across several departments. The most helpful features for my department, which is Marketing, is being able to rapidly upload, transcribe, and timestamp student testimonials. Verbit's so easy, and after minimal training anyone on the cross-funtional team can contribute to the ingesting and extraction of useful pieces of the testimoninals to deploy across channels. We use Verbit frequenty, and now even more to access the new AI features. Specifically, we've seen a lot of value in the 'Summarize' feature that has been surprisingly accurate and useful. The AI tools have been especially easy to integrate into our existing documentaion workflow for student spotlights and testiminals. We havent had a need to interact with Verbit's Customer Support reps yet, but I suppose that's a good thing.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

I see several areas of opportunity for Verbit. The UX takes a bit getting used to. I think all of the features are there, but it's not always clear where things are or what they do. The new AI tools have been helpful, but the UI is clunky and it feels like the team may be missing out on features solely because they can't find them. There are quite a few icons strewn throught the UI and it would be helpful to have them consolidated to a menu, or centralized area, and paired with text to improve the accessibility and usability of the app. Lastly, it's jarring when a lengthy transcript isnt spaced out in a way that makes it digestible. I think, with the AI integrations, that natual language proccessing can aid in naturally breaking up transcripts into digestible segments.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to rapidly upload, transcribe, timestamp, and summarize student testimonials is relieving teams of tedious, repetive tasks and allowing everyone to spend more time on Bisk's mission of servicing current and prospective students. Verbit's AI tools have been essential in streamlining what was once a convulted process passing off transcripts to other teams for summaries, edits, and key highlights. We've found it easy to integrate Verbit into existing workflows, creating an effective end-to-end production process.

  ### 7. Verbit Live captioning services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzanne D. | Animal Shelter Volunteer, Foster Parent & Activist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit Live is an excellent service for institutions that need 508 compliant level close captioning for life events, such as college courses and meetings. It has an easy to use interface and excellent tech-support response time the thing I like the most is my students get a simple email link sent to them 30 minutes before their class automatically which allows them to login and see a full page of live streaming captions in real time. They can also download the transcript at any time after their meeting.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

if Verbit had an app that the student could use to activate their captions, and thus avoid having to have the instructors need to let the captioner into every session, this would really improve the service. instructors are the biggest barrier to providing consistent captions as they are still too uncomfortable with changing technology.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

verbit provides accurate transcription at a 99% level for deaf students at our college. It allows the students to download the transcripts in several formats directly to their computer. It also allows the students to follow, along with the lecture without needing to take notes.

  ### 8. A Simple Yet Powerful Closed Captioning Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt W. | Sales Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

It provides our team with a point solution in lieu of having a closed captioning service. The product is fairly intuitive to use with several options for captioning. Another plus is the support chat that is live-staffing the portal to assist with any questions, configurations, etc..

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

There is not an option to have live captions that are powered by a human representative when you are using the RTMP solution. This poses a problem for our event scope being that we are looking for the clearest possible closed captions inline with what our presenters say.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our event software does not have a closed captioning/transcription service and we needed to find a point solution to solve for this gap. Verbit is able to provide accurate transcriptions with minimal processing time using the automated transcription feature.

  ### 9. Easy interface and integration with a quality product.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

On top of the excellent customer service, Verbit is easy to use and easy to integrate with our other systems, and they offer a wide range of services.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Thus far, I have not found anything to dislike about Verbit.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is providing edited captions for previously recorded videos for our accessibility conference. They are also providing live captioners for the conference and edited captions post-production. This is a tremendous weight off of my shoulders as I am a department of one. This frees me up to focus on projects of broader scope.

  ### 10. Great Way To Not Be Overloard With Transcription Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romarieo B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I'm able to commuincate with Verbit to find the best way to meet my needs.
The turn arounds are pretty decent and as I keep using it the transcript becomes more in my perferences.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

As starting off the transcript doesn't always meet the needs.
Sometimes the accucary isn't always on point and when the finish product is done. It feels like there's more time spent in fixing the transcript and getting it to be wha you want.

I wish also, DCR file able to be uploaded for transcription, so channel can be isolated well

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is solving the issue in understand the needs of different aspect of transcripts. Verbit is also helping out with certain profile to make transcript turnaround more accurate and faster.

  ### 11. Overall Great Transcript Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Overall, this is great for quick closed captioning and accessibility! The timeliness is really efficient, especially when working on videos on a deadline. It is really helpful that it connects to different video players as well, so you are able to find your video on the service you use instead of having to upload it. For example, Vimeo, and once closed captioning is updated on your video, it is updated anywhere that video is saved.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

One downside of using Verbit is sometimes a video will fail captioning, and it is unclear why. It could be the formatting of the video or another reason, but once must do some digging.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit'sclosed captioning service provides accessibility to our videos, which in return , helps support our students.

  ### 12. Great experience with Verbit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren F. | Director, Office of Disability, Access, & Inclusion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

The most helpful thing about Verbit is their excellent support staff. We have had multiple meetings with our Verbit rep to help us work through a few issues, and he is always eager to help us problem solve. We have also had great success working through the chat support feature.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

We have had some integration issues with one of the services we use that have made our process more complicated than we'd like, but Verbit support staff is continuing to try to resolve this issue for us.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit helps us provide disability accommodations to students who need closed captioning, CART, and transcription services. We have been able to streamline our system for providing these accommodations by using Verbit.

  ### 13. Vital for Accessibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina R. | Project Coordinator at CALL, Libraries, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit is extremely easy to use and quick. We've used it for closed captioning for videos as well as live captioning for webinars and virtual conferences. We've found all of the captioners to be extremely professional, personable, and most importantly, accurate.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The one downside is that sometimes live captioners are subcontracted out by a third party. We've only had one instance where a subcontractor could not be contacted during a live event and no-showed. We were refunded the cost.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessbility compliance is extremely important to us, and not just because we have to abide by Section 508 compliance. We use Verbit to provide closed captioning for all of our webinar videos so that our Adult Learners can get their information in another mode, as well as be able to have it read to them by a screen reader.

  ### 14. Artificial Intelligence Doesn't Replace a Human

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit has an excellent turn around time for generating transcripts. According the team who reviewed captioning companies, for us, Verbit was the most cost effective and flexible for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Verbit uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate the initial transcript. After the AI generates the captions, a human is supposed to review them. My organization has had inappropriate words included in transcripts that were out of context that human review by Verbit did not catch. The videos I request captioning for are highly technical, professional education. I find words that appear within the video misspelled in transcripts. I see where phrases like, "You shouldn't do XYZ because..." be picked up by the AI asm "You should do XYZ because..." This is concerning because those are two opposing statements and could provide a person using captions erroneous information. I realize there are trade-offs by using a hybrid-AI approach, but I'd strongly urge everyone who uses captions to do at least a high level review of the transcript for accuracy before sharing the file. This goes for any service. Also, Verbit did not have a profanity filter applied to our account, which is why inappropriate language made it into our video captions. On the other hand, sometimes the AI translations are amusing like when "For Pete's sake" was interpreted as, "For pizza faith."

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Verbit to caption our videos. In order to meet US federal requirements for accessibility, all of our videos must be captioned. We submit a lot of captioning requests and Verbit does process them in a timely manner.

  ### 15. Verbit scheduling is nice and easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jay s. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I really like the ability to schedule live captioning via a webpage. This makes it very easy to see what is scheduled and what needs scheduled.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

We had an issue with a file transfer one time but Verbit worked to resolve the issue.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are required to caption certain shows and Verbit makes it easy.

  ### 16. Accessibility in Higher Education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit is not only a phenomenal company when it comes to customer service and ongoing support, but they provide a myriad of services that allow our Deaf and HOH students on campus to access communication in a more autonomous way. Their student platform has allowed us to turn over the responsbility of some roles to the students as they matriculate with the hopes that as they enter the workforce they will feel confident scheduling, starting, and troubleshooting all of their live captioning needs. In addition to Live, we also utilize their post production transcription services, again, a major plus is the autonomy it allows us to hand over to the students as they learn to naviate courses on their own.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The biggest complaint we receive from students is that their desire is essentially for a different service. Many would prefer the post transcription transcript be captions embedded in the film,

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication Access within classrooms and for public facing events on campus. In addition, Verbit also solves the problem of inaccessible videos being shown as part of the courses students are paying to attend.

  ### 17. Verbit Transcription services for captioning video

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivian J Seki S. | Digital Accessibility Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

The captioning is accurate. Used for healthcare videos which have to be accurate in spelling of content. The turnaround time is very good. Typically not more than 2 days.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

I don't like that the billing is for the full length of the video, even with silence. Many videos have silence at the beginning or end, plus sometimes there are intermittent silences for student quizzing or reflection. I think the silence should not be billed, but that may be a contract negotiation point.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is being used to caption online videos of class presentations that are being used by students. These students require accommondations so this fulfills ADA by law.

  ### 18. Efficient and Thorough

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Destiny A. | Marketing Communications Specialist III - Office of the President, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit offers accurate transcriptions at impressive turnaround times. Our Verbit rep, Spencer, is always timely and thorough with solving any issues we may encounter, even offering to meet with us to brainstorm ideas on how to deliver the best product for our business.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Occassionally, the turnaround times are almost *too* fast. After those times, I tend to review the transcript closer for errors that may have been missed. Even then, errors tend to be minor, and feedback comments can be added to your account for future transcriptions.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My office does several hour-long transcriptions for formal records. The combination of automatic transcription peered with human review is what makes Verbit the best bang for our buck.

  ### 19. Great at post production

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I love the post production captions and the assistance I have received when I was struggle to figure out solutions to problems. The help team was amazing and our representative, Adam is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The live AI captions are not reliable. If someone has an accent, the captions do not work well. I wish they could be more reliable when we have activities that require captions. I will try out the live person captions if we have an opportunity to do so.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is allowing students to receive equal access in the classrooms. Professors are asking us to caption videos. Verbit has also ensured that our videos that we release to our students to train them how to use our database has been most effective.

  ### 20. Captioning for lectures has been highly improved and made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit has been very useful and accurate at producing captions for our lectures. Captions are formed very swiftly after uploading and the user interface is very intuitive for reviewing and managing captions.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Sometimes the system is not able to accurately predict what the instructor is saying. In rare cases, it will miss a sentence that can cause havoc on caption timing when inserting the missed sentence.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Producing quality captioning that saves time having to do it manually. This results in faster video editing turnaround and more ADA access to students.

  ### 21. Professional and organized

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

Verbit's online system to upload the files are very helpful. It is secure, organized and easy to navigate. There is a certain number of features in the page which you can set up according to your needs.
The account managers are always very helpful and commited to assist you in every step to make sure you have a positive experience with their system.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

So far I have had a positive experience.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a Legal Assistant and Transcriptions are necessary to be presented at Law Courts and it is time consuming to have them prepared. Verbit offers this service in a time maner and with a secure system.

  ### 22. Accurate transcript with great editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessika R. | Program Facilitator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I enjoy how easy it is to view the transcripts and edit the words. It lets you know if there was an "inaudible" so you can quickly check and update.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Sometimes with Vimeo intergrations it loses its connections or it is not clear if it has update the video with your new edited transcript.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides up with accessibility compliance for our educational material and makes it very quick and easy to do.

  ### 23. Great product for big projects!

I love that you can easily upload multiple video files to Verbit and that there are options for transcript and caption files.
The editor in verbit is great and works really well in editing those files to be used in online courses. It's so easy to use and the accuracy is amazing!

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The only "downside" is time. Good things take time. So, be sure you plan accordingly.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time in not hand captioning, or using clunky services

  ### 24. Verbit is a great AI software, I'm happy I found it.

Timely transcripts. They are able to get us transcripts in 3-5 days unlike sending to a court reporter which takes up to 30 -45 days. The cost is a fraction of what the court reporters charge

  ### 25. Captions are good, but software is stalling lately.

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Easy to edit captions, captions are accurate,

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

the software stalls a lot, it is hard to skip ahead with out it freezing, it jumps back to a slow speed and you have to speed it up again.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it helps us edit captions quickly. We also use it to help write descriptions.

  ### 26. Fantastic Captioning Tool

I love how accurate Verbit it when captioning videos. I teach a science based course, and the vocabulary can be difficult to understand or spell, but Verbit is always accurate.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

I don't have any dislikes about Verbit! It is accurate and fast for turn around. I do wish the YouTube upload option worked better where I could add a link to my video and have it captioned. It doesn't work any longer and it had over a year ago.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit makes it easier for my online students to follow along with my videos, especially in regards to vocabulary. I know it helps with their understanding and it's such a fast and useful tool.

I have not encountered any downsides to using Verbit so far.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in higher education, and I needed to put videos on my institution's website for all students to access. To comply with federal regulations and to ensure access for all users regardless of needs/preferences, I needed to transcribe the audio and provide audio descriptions. Verbit helped with this need quickly and thoroughly.

  ### 31. It is user friendly.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farnoush Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I like the fact that it is easy to use. It has good accuracy and it gets ready in a reasonable amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

If there are multiple speakers, it does not recognize them well. It does not create proper paragraphs and it does not highlight the text as the video is playing.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is creating transcripts and captions to make the videos accessible. the transcripts and captions are better and more accurate compare to the ones created by YouTube or Stream.

  ### 32. This software is amazing! Very accurate and fast results!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

When I get my jobs back they require little to no changes and customer support is always easy to contact and willing to help.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Sometimes words or sentences are missing

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me with transcribing legal audio quickly and efficiently

  ### 33. Helpful and Prompt

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catherine B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

There is a quick turn around time for captions.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

I don't think there are any downsides in my experience with Verbit. In all my interactions, they've been very helpful.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit provides captions and transcriptions for our lecture videos for our online classes. They offer reliable service, misspelling words far less frequently than previous companies have, and this saves on time and other resources.

  ### 34. Transcription for closed captions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I think the application works well for our use case, and the turn around on our files is much faster than our contract times. Almost always same day turn around for their 5 day option.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Once the contract was signed, no sales rep or account rep ever heard from again.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are required to have closed captions/transcripts for our online learning modules. Verbit has adequately seviced that need/requirement for us.

  ### 35. System is buggy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

It's cheaper than most alternatives. And, they had great chat and email support.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

It was buggy. I couldn't add my speaker names, then the transcript came out one line at a time instead of a paragraph for each speaker. This made for over 100 pages to print instead of 40 or 50.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They found one bug and fixed the issue. So I was able to add speaker names now. Still waiting on the outcome of another file.

  ### 36. Great and Easy to Use Live Captioning Service and Great Customer Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

They have an easy to use scheduling platform, multiple language options for live captioning, and are prompt with sending prep materials in advance to the assigned captioner and with the assigned captioner showing up on time. Overall great customer support as well.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

They are a top tier service; however, there are times when the speakers' have an accent that the captioning has not always been extremely accurate. Those times are far and few in between.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is allowing us to create more accessible virtual events through having a captioner type live captions during our events

  ### 37. Excellent for Physical Disabilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Accurately and quickly transcribes long memos I am unable to type out, due to a physical condition which causes pain when typing for a long time.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Complicated to copy and paste into a separate document and/or rename project.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timeliness and physical disability - allows me to complete work I otherwise could not.

  ### 38. Good accessibility service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

They have good reps that are able to work whenever we have issues. The captioning service is quite accurate.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Their new platform is not user-friendly.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Information on transcript and accessibility services and implementation.

  ### 39. Easy to use, quite accurate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

How quickly the subtitles are generated.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

I can't think of anything in particular, but possibly the price.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transcribing lengthy videos and meetings that would be time consuming to do otherwise

  ### 40. Transcriptions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sydney S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

The speed they deliver and how helpful they are in transcribing our audio.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Nothing I dislike. They do a very good job.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are transcribing and it saves time for people on my team to do it.

  ### 41. Verbit has a great service but can be a bit difficult setting up.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

I liked how well it worked for our campus. It was easy to use once setup and generally was something our students liked. It was easy to use semester to semester and required little training on how to use.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Was a bit difficult to setup. We use this service for students with disabilities and we had issues with the company signing confidentiality agreements that our legal department required.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing accessibility/accommodations to students with a disability need (most hearing impaired). Students reported that it worked well; we had no complaints from them.

  ### 42. Consistently Impressive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason G. | Multimedia Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit is top-notch for its captioning services. Our media team handles hundreds of videos ranging from high-quality audio to the lowest of I-phone recordings, and Verbit has yet to disappoint me in terms of captions.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

One issue I'd like to see fixed is the upload speeds. Sometimes, a two-minute video can take hours to complete, slowing down my team. However, I have noticed this improving over time.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit cuts my workload in half (maybe more) in terms of captioning. Before using this service, I could spend an entire day captioning a single video, but this tool does all that work for me while I can work on other things.

  ### 43. Overall a decent service that gets the job done

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit is efficient and gets the job done

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Verbit will sometimes capitalize random words or lag

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit helps us caption our live learning events in real time and when we make it into a recording the captions are already added.

  ### 44. Quick and Responsive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit has been very good at detecting medical terminology that not all AI caption generators catch. It correctly identifies sentences and spaces as well, rarely do we ever have to make edits to a transcript. And if we do, it is only a single word in most cases.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The most challenging aspect of Verbit is updating the captions to Vimeo. The UI is unclear on how to edit the captions, make sure they are saved, and then send that update back to the Vimeo video. It is possible but the process I think could be more straightforward.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit makes are videos more accessible without adding weeks to our production schedule. Without it, adding captions manually or having to edit weirdly formatted CC from other programs would make our production slow to a halt.

  ### 45. Great Customer Service and Superior Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becky B. | Instructional Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

My customer success manager has been so engaged and helpful. In addition to helping with standard requests and needs, she has gone above and beyond to help facilitate a much needed SSO feature.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The storage of completed captions with labels can be laborious to search through. Locating specific recordings can be difficult. I am hoping for folders in the near future.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is helping our students' access materials in multimodalities, including captions and audio descriptions. These features are helping students across the board with accessibility and learning needs.

  ### 46. Technical Writer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

The turnaround time is amazing and the accuracy is extremely reliable.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The UX/UI is basic but it gets the job done!

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's providing another written resource and saving time!

  ### 47. Loving it so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

What I like about Verbit is:
Accuracy, Integration with my works system, Accessibility and Efficiency

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

The new revamp version needs to catch up to the previous platform when it comes to Audio Descprtions

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me caption videos and audio describe videos

  ### 48. Verbit has amazing Customer Service and they care about their partners.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Levi R. | Accessibility Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Most helpful thing about Verbit is their customer service and their willingness to accept feedback and take action on features to enhance their service.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Previously have had issues (most when Verbit is doing updates): loss of functionality in transcript, closed captioner late to session.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verbit is solving our bulk booking so it is easier for us to submit multiple sessions without having to individually book each session.

  ### 49. Closed captioning services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Verbit's turnaround time is quick! And their tech support is awesome!

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

I wish their customer portal were more user friendly.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Closed captioning videos.

  ### 50. Decent long-term relationship, poor ending

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Verbit?**

Caption work was of good quality most of the time.

**What do you dislike about Verbit?**

Customer service was poor when we needed to change our process.

**What problems is Verbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, I pulled our business due to being ghosted by our CSR.
