Vareto allows us to report and monitor all of our companies in a familiar format while giving us transaction level observability into the numbers. The software has been very easy to use, intuitive, and fairly painless to implement. The ability to quickly slice and dice data, as well as quickly present it in a concise and easily digestable format is a game-changer. Add on top of that the ability for users to add comments and ask questions directly in reports/dashboards, our teams will be more connected and organized during the financial review and planning processes than ever before. Board, Exec, and Dept reporting is flexible and accessible to our business users. Permissions and user management is intuitive and simple. The implementation team has been outstanding, helping us in great detail during the entire process. Being a SAAS start-up, we've had a few metics tracked via excel as opposed to ERP/CRM and they've been able to build integrations that allow us to continue to input data via Gsheet so that it's accesible in Vareto, basically helping us keep certain manual process while we transtion our software stack. Any apprehension I had about a partial/failed implementation dissapeared when I saw how committed they were to finding custom solutions for the state of our data. We are still developing our use of the planning functionality, but have been very happy with out of the box OPEX planning. Collaboration with business users is strightforward and the tools for communication allow for detailed documentation. We'll continue to move into revenue and 3 statement planning in the coming months, but have been impressed by demos of the 2.0 release set for fall 2024. **What do you dislike about Vareto?** There are a few HRIS integrations that are not natively configured for Vareto and so we've opted for periodic CSV uploads. Not a huge issue, but does mean there is some regular maintenance with data. Pretty typcial with most FP&A solutions. **What problems is Vareto solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visibility into company performance by internal and external stakeholders, reducing effort and time spent creating and circulating reports. And since the data pulls directly from our ERP, we have a verified source of truth. We've also been able to set up monthly spend reports by department for team leads that require zero manual work or intervention from our team. In addition, all of our financials are now set up as dashboards in Vareto, saving our Controller numerous hours each month. Equally important as all of the efficiencies that we've gained, the quick implemenation time and ease of integration allowed for us to be up and running in no time. Paired with the outstanding customer support, this has easily been one of the smoothest implementations so far in my career. **What do you dislike about Vareto?** The biggest downside is that we are not able to resync with our ERP if we need to refresh data in the middle of the day. We've been told that it's currently on their roadmap to smooth our the refresh process though which is great to hear. **What problems is Vareto solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vareto makes it possible for us to spin up department reports and quickly execute variance analysis for our P&L. Not to mention their support team's timely solution oriented communication is a huge bonus. I like how they offer the ability to intregrate data that has multiple dimensions , such as sites, location, markets, deparements , product lines..etc. Other competiors only allowed 2-3 dimensions which might be okay for some but since we are expanding we needed the scalability they offer. Recently they've added the feature where you can export multiple reports at once , which is helpful as you can create an entire board package with financial and non finanical data and export it with one click. **What do you dislike about Vareto?** Exporting funcationality: When i started using it about a year ago , they only had unformated csv exporting of one report at a time but since then they've upgraded to include formatted excel export. **What problems is Vareto solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vareto can help you get rid of disconnected spreadsheets that are time consuming to manage and update. With Vareto, you can create and manage financial plans in a single, centralized system direclty from your accounting system and HR system while adding or importing non financial data to better reflect the health in the company. Data cuts that used to take a few hours to populate in slides are now in live reports that enable us to spend more time driving the business forward and less time cutting and pasting. Implementing Vareto was a very smooth process, thanks to the Customer Growth Management team. The team was very responsive and effective, able to quickly understand our finance-specific problem statements and helping us with solutions that worked. They also helped us see around corners, calling out if a particular framework or configuration we had chosen might pose trade-offs down the road. Vareto's model versioning and extensibility features have streamlined our data management. It's our single source of truth, integrating seamlessly with various data sources. The ability to compare previous model versions empowers us to track even minor changes, enhancing financial reporting and data-driven decision-making. **What do you dislike about Vareto?** A current drawback is the inability to initiate a real-time data refresh from our ERP system, but the team has assured us the feature is on their roadmap. Automoated budget vs. actual reporting with strong collaboration tools with business partners. **What do you dislike about Vareto?** The financial planning module does an excellent job of pulling in actual data from prior periods that can be referenced to plan future periods, but can sometimes slow down when the workbooks become large. **What problems is Vareto solving and how is that benefiting you?** Historical actuals sync directly from our accounting and CRM systems, so our plans are always based on the most up-to-date actual data. Before Vareto, we were using spreadsheets, and hardcoded historical values were vercy cumbersome to maintain and update as new periods closed, or as prior periods were modified. Vareto solves that problem. Fast BVA reporting, and slick communication tools on the face of the reporting dashboards to collaborate with business partners. Before Vareto, all of our financial data was only accessible in the accounting system. Business partners didn't have good visibility into their department financials. Vareto allows us to give our business partners, spend owners, and department leaders useful visibility into the company's financials. This increases their awareness and accountability. ### 12. The collaboration functionality with stakeholders is second to none. Great visualization and customization functionality, and we can get data in from any data source making it a powerful Finance BI tool. It's built with SaaS companies in mind. The onboarding and CS team are top notch for implementation and beyond. **What do you dislike about Vareto?** They are still a young product so not everything works as smoothly as it will in the future. However, they are extremely responsive to customer requests and really "get" what Finance teams will need and are building towards that. The planning functionality is still a bit immature so it takes a little extra work to set up, but the majority of our modeling is now in Vareto (revenue aside - which is expected). **What problems is Vareto solving and how is that benefiting you?** Speed of month end close. We no longer spend time building or linking spreadsheets or running Netsuite JE reports/pivot tables, and instead spend our time analyzing data and working with our business stakeholders. We have received nothing but great service from their account team from the moment we signed and they have helped in every aspect of the tool's implementation and roll out to the business teams. The team is very responsive and open to feedback. Two things that would be great from our perspective - 1. Weekly reports (current lowest denomination of time is a month), 2.Greater ability to build and edits models directly within Vareto (know that the team is working on this). **What problems is Vareto solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vareto is significantly reducing the time it takes to perform FP&A activities at month-end. The visualizations and data-sharing functionalities have been helped us cut time to build BVAs for the business at month-end and to better understand the nuance of our financials quickly. ### 21. It also allows us to manage better and oversee our bottom-up approach to budgeting as it has the flexibility to build custom budget reports for all segments of the organization that can be adjusted and updated by the appropriate program managers.
