## UXPin Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to Pick Up and Get Moving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

It's super easy to get started and learn, especially coming from adobe and other UX tools like Sketch, Figma, etc, and the components library has made my life really easy. I love the collaborative aspect and the fact that it's web-based as well, so I can log in anywhere with Wifi and pick up where I left off.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

This could be a result of me being a newbie to the tool, but I found some of the design system features and components library to be hard to edit or navigate in the actual design systems interface. Not being able to add in type styles in design systems unless you did it in the edit view felt weird especially after being able to add colors via hex codes directly into the design system. It'd also be cool to be able to make stuff like spacing and layout scaling systems to go right into the design systems -- might be an enhancement down the road.

In addition when I click to select an element often it will shift a pixel or two, which is a huge pain if I've taken the time to line everything up already.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Give it a shot! It's great for any team.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've helped build a design system for a product currently being designed and built by using UXPin's native design system features. In addition, handing off to devs overseas has been much easier since I can show them spec in UXPin.

  ### 2. Tested over 10+ competitor over the past 3 Years, THIS WAS OUR TEAM's FAVORITE FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar D. | Senior UI/UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

1. Variety of icons and design libraries
2. Web-Application - Cloud - comment and team and client collaboration options
3. Professional UI, feels premium
4. The Crazy On-Going Development almost every month ranging from complex features such as component builder all the way to Keyboard-shortcuts

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

1. That I don't have an "Artboard", this would be much much much more professional to use than a single page view - especially when you are trying to make multiple scenarios of one mobile-screen-design for example.
2. In Preview mode if you zoom-in-out based on your monitor size, it resets on every page click. so iretating - it can also have an option to fit-screen!
3. No mobile access :(. Sometimes I just need to check and sends link to colleagues!
4. Exporting mobile designs using Mobile-Frame-Options doesn't add the frame to the exported file!

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

If you are going to use it only for a free version, I advise not to judge it cause UXPin Value worth much much more than the paid plans ;)

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

all our company designs, sketches and prototypes are now in one place, easy to share, easy to communicate in simple clicks. Rather than sending images here and there to gather vote or ask for a simple comment.

  ### 3. A great tool for UX design and rapid prototyping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The ease of use, and 'snapping' to elements boundaries / positions gets you to move quickly with this tool. Also the libraries have a lot of stuff to offer for direct use. Also the fact that clients can place comments live is a real benefit.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Not much that I dislike about the platform. We use it for UX and UI design of websites and applications. I once tried to make background video's and used a gif in the end. Also more possibilities to use custom css or css3 would be great to have. That might be things I would like to have as a Uxpin user.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uxpin really impacted our work in the way that we don't work with psd's for design anymore. We design everything in Uxpin and our developers can work with it really easy. In the future we will look at more integration through Slack and maybe other stuff we use.

  ### 4. UXPin Review, Great for Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allison P. | UI/UX Specialist, Graphic Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

My favorite things about UXPin are the ability to create a Design System and symbols which really speeds up the process. Also, the documentation and comments, as well as spec mode, make it extremely easy to hand off to developers.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The only small downfall is an occasional bug when mockups display in some browsers.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPin allows me to have easy and quick hand-off to developers which saves me a lot of time. This is important to me because I have a very high workload. It allows me to focus more on my UX work rather than going back an forth with developer questions as much.

  ### 5. Constant new features and great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig C. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

It seems that major new features are being released on an almost weekly basis. They also recently started using an online forum for users to get help, request features, or notify them of bugs. The staff are very active (including the CEO) and extremely helpful when resolving issues and very transparent about new features coming on their roadmap.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

There are some elements that currently lack advanced functionality and others that have advanced functionality, but aren't the easiest to figure out how to use.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Try it

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been creating fully interactive prototypes to test product concepts with my team. Sometimes, as we interact with them, we realize we need to tweak some things before we begin actually developing them.

  ### 6. Great community and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Flavio B. | Senior UX/UI & Design Creative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The spirit of the team behind UX PIN, their response is very helpful timely and positive, even though my main problems are not being solved the response was very positive

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Features for handling interactivity in video are still very limited, our company specialises in interactive video and we need that videos play in full screen and are rendered on all devices we test, android and iOS. I disliked that the project i made while using the trial was deleted after the trial expired so i couldn't continue working on it if i had bought a licence. I got a licence extension which was great but the work I had done before was gone so i had to rebuild the project

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Working with video assets is at the moment quite limited

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video is difficult to work with, it's really inconvenient to work with video as links and not to be able to just have them directly inside the software. I hope they keep working on making the video features available. It's also a great benefit that the collaborative features work very well.

  ### 7. Most platform intuitive to prototype with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiara M. | Lead Designer & Developer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I love how easy it is to use UXPin. The interface is so intuitive, and creating interactions is simple. Many other prototyping tools have fallen short on this front for me.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The only thing I dislike is how expensive it is for me, being in Australia the conversion from the nice $29 usd a month becomes close to $50 aud, however I did decide it was absolutely worth it.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to visualise and detail interactions to my clients in a much easier way than ever before.

  ### 8. Best prototyping tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabio Pinheiro C. | Product Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

It is easy to use. I mean i am a developer and i can use easily this tool.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Right now, I dont have any complain.....

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

I can resume UXPIN in two expressions: easy to use and powerful.
Try it.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using UXPIN for 3 or 4 years and i certainly can say that this tool have made our process much easier. We can make prototype high fidelity and test it before start developing. We have improved our success rate in project, delighting ou clients.
We have improved our sales process, becouse the client can see and navegate on the solution before buying.

  ### 9. UXPin is a welcome blend of Balsamiq and Sketch functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia C. | Co-founder/UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

It has the simplicity of Balsamiq, but allows for much higher fidelity mockups. It's very similar to Sketch, but much easier to use. It's my go-to tool for low-interaction designs or when I need pixel-level UI for technical specs.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

It can be buggy at times, but the problems are generally minor and correct with a refresh. I'm still not sure the right way to organize all my prototypes, but I do have a ton of them. I'd love to see better table support, and some way to create a library of custom/compound objects. I was going to say that there's no documentation that I could find, but I just went back and found a tiny little ? button in the bottom corner that I hadn't noticed before. That's pretty typical for UXPin: yes, it usually has what I'm looking for, but the UI is so minimal that it can be a bit of a treasure hunt to find it.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's the fastest, easiest way I've found to express a non-prototype design. I can create create semi-interactive UX previews to share with customers, and take screenshots for to-the-pixel specs.

  ### 10. Essential Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew M. | User Experience Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Not a month goes by where the UXPin team doesn't integrate some new, incredible feature for their tool. Once they incorporated dummy data on the fly, UXPin easily became the most time-saving tool in my arsenal.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The only challenge is how to manage states and animations. It's wise to keep those interactions simple until your user testing is complete.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Get it. Use it. You will not regret it.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a large health system. We are using UXPin to prototype and test UI's for medical apps used by both doctors and patients. The ability for teams and stakeholders to comment and collaborate is unprecedented.

  ### 11. Simple Wire-framing Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Very simple and affordable wireframing tool. Works great for both large and small business. Allows multiple users to easily collaborate on a design, and to create projects.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Ironically, the UI for building a prototype is not overly user friendly. All of the icons are very small and thin, and are often hard to navigate through. A lot of the tools are also initially hidden, so it takes a bit of time to navigate through the interface and find what you're looking for.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPin allows multiple users in different countries to quickly collaborate on UX prototypes. It is also a very affordable platform, which is important for a small business.

  ### 12. Love it!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishakha K. | UX Designer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The ability to wireframe and add interactions is amazing. The best part, however, is the collaboration it allows between the different teams with the comment and documentation and specs options.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The inability to make lo-fi wireframes quickly. This is problematic because my team has to use another tool for Lo-fi and UXpin for hi-fi wireframes. If only there was a quicker way to make dirty wireframes this would have been a tremendous help.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

It's a great tool perfect for both mac and windows environment.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPin has helped me to be fast. It has also improved the collaboration between the product management, design and dev team.

  ### 13. A simple app with huge benefits

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim K. | Director of Creative Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Ease of use. The tools are readily available and easy to find. I love the library of elements and the Interactions make some interactivity easy enough to mimic.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

It would be nice to have a marquee zoom feature. Also, sometimes boxes resize or size oddly in Safari.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does a much better job of explaining a solution than I ever could. Giving the client the ability to walk through their site completely, without the expense of going through the entire design and writing process, saves us loads of time and money.

  ### 14. UXPin is everything I could ask for. And more.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I love the usability of UXPin. Improvements are always implemented and communicated in the application.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

I honestly don't see any downsides. I am able to do all that I need to in a quick and easy manner.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Give it a try. It's amazing.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to design screens for multiple segments of our business in an organized fashion. I was able to teach myself how to use the application as it's extremely user-friendly.

  ### 15. Really easy to handle and fast to create

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The sitemap and layer management is really intuitive, the components to re-use consistent elements is great.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The load between pages can be quite slow, a bit annoying when you have to compare two pages, and I haven't found a way to use the input fields with placeholders, which is really annoying for prototypes.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm creating really precise interactions, I've been able to show exactly what I want to happen when clicking a button, tab, toggle or checkbox. I still need to learn more but so far it's been great.

  ### 16. Superb tool for about everything

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

You can easily create prototypes with complex motion and gestures from scratch without having to rely on plugins or other software. The whole package in one app.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

UI is a little sluggish and illogical in some places. Vector editing tools could be a little better (expand boolean operation objects!)

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

A full package of UI/UX tools, everything from user flows to hi-fi prototypes.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating and researching user flows, wireframing, hi-fi prototypes and final assets for developers. It's fast and very versatile - you can do almost anything without having to jump to some other app.

  ### 17. Easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean W. | Product Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I like how easy UXPin is to use and share with others.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

I don't think there is anything that I dislike about UXPin.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It easy to show my team what we need to create, including the interactions.

  ### 18. Really good, almost great.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Product Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The design system, documentation, and commenting systems are outstanding in design and function and make communicating and collaborating extremely efficient. Contextual comments, followup, and closing items are efficiently and intuitively designed.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

- Animations/Interactions are buggy and do not always yield what you have designed.
- Lack of logical operators (if an element is checked do this, otherwise do that)
- Lack of variables (persist data across page changes - preferences mockup for example - or use varables with logical operators)
- Difficult to create toggle advanced animations. Advanced animations are linear and do not provide a means to reset the animation (creating an advanced animation, that workes based on a toggle for example, is extremely convoluted. It will animate but not reset to original state)
- Symbol library intermittently displays a square icon rather than a preview of the symbol and you must restart to fix.
- Application (desktop version) looses connection sometimes and you have to restart to reconnect - add a reconnect button somewhere.
- After sale support is lacking (submitted bugs and asked for help with an issue to determine if it was product or user error and can't seem to get help). Some of the issues above could very well be user error but with no response from support it at minimum falls on poor design

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Overall, the product is fantastic but there are issues that can be very frustrating and stall your workflow; I assume the team is working on them. Do a demo and then build some interactive elements while on trial. If you find yourself bumping your head on bugs while building trivial interactions, expect those issues to compound as you start building prototypes.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using UXPin for UI/UX design and collaboration. The collaboration and handoff tools are exemplary and overall the prototyping tools are excellent. I have been able to execute on multiple designs while dealing with the slight learning curve and feel UXPin delivers a great set of tools to make this process efficient.

  ### 19. It has potential but too many problems to use

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2019

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I really liked the color contrast checker for accessibility and the ability to add basic animations. The design library with icons and color palettes was super useful.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The layer management is a major pain, the snapping tool is inaccurate which has caused major headaches. Lastly, it's incredibly laggy. I ended up having to switch tools in the middle of a project because of these problems.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

I would Recommend Figma for UI prototyping and Webflow for site prototypes

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prototyping

  ### 20. Very easy to use, yet powerful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal L. | Michał Laskowski, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

A grat tool for creating wireframes. It is super easy to use, yet has all the features I need. Used for projects up to 100 mockups. The new offline version gives flexibility in usage.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The icon library could be larger, but I guess you will never get enough of those.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Very efficient.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating mockups and working with them as a team, client included. Building documentation on the mockup.

  ### 21. Altrrnayive to just in mind

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Clean ui. Looks nice. Design library works great. Great tool

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Clicking items within asset tree can be hairy. Could use more progamatically driven multistates.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Use for design library

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to prototype ui ideas.

  ### 22. UXPin is solid, all-around prototyping software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve P. | UX Designer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I like the fact that if I can't change the properties of a certain object, I can usually use custom CSS to make something look exactly how it should render for web prototypes. That's a big win and something a lot of other high-fidelity prototyping tools don't have.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

...but I don't have all CSS properties to work with. Also, interactions are VERY POWERFUL, but pretty hard to learn at first.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Milk the trial period & ask questions if you have them - their support is pretty good.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it primarily to prototype with an old design system, but also to create a new design system for our software as well.

  ### 23. Great design tool for wireframes, UI design...and coming soon Interaction design

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry S. | Senior UX Designer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2015

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

UX Pin makes it easy to create mockups for low and high fidelity designs. They have dozens of libraries with various items to be used in a design, making it easy and fast to create mockups and designs. The designs are easy for stake holders to view and provide feedback on as well. We often have review meetings where changes are make quickly in the design mode, and the preview mode show the changes in real-time. The stake holders and product managers love this. It has significantly reduced our design time across our organization.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

They haven't had an update in a while, so there are many things that are a little buggy. Some of the designs we have create are fairly complex, having hundreds of layers. We also have dozens of interactions within the designs. The system slows down a lot with so many variables in the design. It makes it difficult to work on some designs, where a change that should take 2 minutes takes 5 because of the slowness.

Not to worry, an update to the application is coming in November 2015 (next month from when I write this) that will eliminate this problem.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

It's a great tool for designing. It is much faster to do designs than in Photoshop.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking for way to produce UI and UX designs quickly and easily. We also needed a tool to interact with the team to allow for reviews and task tracking and changes on the designs. UX Pin does a great job with this.

  ### 24. It works...but I'd love to explore more options.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meaghan K. | Senior Designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I appreciate the no-frills prototyping ability it has. Myself and my team typically design smaller, informational websites or small ecommerce shops and don't need to be showing extensive wireframes/prototypes for them, but rather a basic, functional representation of a website for the client to test and approve.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

As an avid Adobe user, I tend to be biased when software doesn't "function" like Adobe. This includes certain key commands - in particular, bringing objects to the front or sending them to the back. In UXPin, you have to right click + then click again to do this, which gets tedious. I also have noticed small bugs here and there, especially whenever they roll out a new version. For example, a client recently wasn't able to get links (with added interactions) to function properly. It also kind of drives me crazy how the artboard needs to have a set size - we typically design sites around 1400-1600 pixels wide but if a client is viewing this on a laptop they have to scroll horizontally quite a bit. I understand that UXPin has the ability to make responsive screens but this is often not a step we have the time to take if we're just presenting a simple desktop wireframe. One more thing that I wish they would change is how you can't click on links when viewing prototypes in comment mode. We often leave comments on elements, alerting the client that they're clickable, but then the client has to first switch OUT of comment mode in order to click on them.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Do a trial!

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A simple + straightforward way to present wireframes to clients. Even our most technology-challenged usually manage to figure out how to navigate the prototypes.

  ### 25. Simple and clean UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The simple and clean user interface makes it easy to use. Also, it's not a big software like Adobe, so it's less complicated and doesn't take much time to be profession on it.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

It comes with the documentation and design system and documentation. These features still doesn't quite work the work we need.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

If your design doesn't need to be pixel perfect, UXPIN is a very good choice. It comes with lots of useful tools and features.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the system to do mockup and communicate the mockups with our engineers. It makes the collaboration easy as the engineers can view specifications and documentation right in the mockups.

  ### 26. Most flexible prototyping tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | UX Design Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The range of interactions available, tight Sketch integration and intuitive interface

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

There are not any issues cons that I feel are frustrating enough

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

If you are using Sketch it is essential to name and group all layer properly, as it cab be difficult to sort out the layer structure when imported.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the main problem is communicating a design solution to all stakeholders

  ### 27. Good starter tool for prototyping

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gwendolynn S. | Software Support Specialist, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Large library of elements and icons with good sharing and commenting features.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Some features are harder to understand, link symbol use. Also, some menu options and the general organization of projects is a bit confusing. Wish there was a better way to use recurring elements and then modify them. For example: add a custom element as a 'template' and then modify it for a single prototype.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can no move from concept to shared prototype and track job progress.

  ### 28. Fine

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fine Art | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I like the interactive features, so you could use this without needing invision

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Can seems bit clunky, took taking an online class to learn how to use. As a beginner I still don't know how to use all the features

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

It doesn't seem to be widely know. I haven't used other wireframing tools so it's hard to compare

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm taking a UX class so I'm using it for wireframes. It's good because you don't Alps need invision to create interactions but invision is easier to use

  ### 29. Great for testing mock-ups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Overall, UXPin is a great tool for user testing mock-ups. It's simple and easy to navigate. I appreciate that the app allows users to quickly test multiple different platforms; i.e. iPad, phone & computer layouts.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

It can be a bit clunky to navigate through with bigger projects. While it's nice to have built in tools to add to the design, they are not fully customizable and I'd appreciate more design options. I also had issues deleting wireframes - it's easy to confuse with the duplicate button and each image upload has to be deleted individually.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's really great for user flow when it comes to UI. Allowing for non-technical users to interact with your mock-up helps them to realize how your app is intended to function and can point out any early design flaws.

  ### 30. Low or high-fidelity wireframing made easy.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon F. | Senior UX / Digital Designer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I enjoy using the elements with animation built in, like sliders and tabs. These can be dragged to a canvas, and immediately put to use. There's a lot of animation options and they're constantly updating the tools with new options.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

While there's a Sketch integration, I've found it to be glitchy at times, especially with several designers syncing up to one UXPin project.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Constant iteration is great, but at times its tough to keep up with the constant changes, especially when things move within the interface. It can be annoying to try and find the layers or effects panel when they change location mid-project.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to convey what a client's website or app will look like, and UXPin is the tool that shows them that skeleton of how their site might look, feel and function. Being able to get their feedback within the tool and respond allows us to work quickly and efficiently to meet their needs.

  ### 31. Solid Program and Getting Better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura F. | Senior User Experience Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

- I like that they are always improving and adding features.
- I like that it is web based so that I can use it on any computer without having to download anything or connect to a server for the files.
- I like the Sketch and photoshop integration.
- I like the ability to wireframe and prototype

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

- Printing is problematic. Straight printing from browser doesn't work well and exporting to PDF for printing can be buggy and limiting.
- Have had issues with bugginess in the past, but this is improving.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to quickly mock-up and prototype ideas to try them out and test them before completely designing them out or developing them.

  ### 32. Full-featured and high-quality product!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I really like the Design Systems feature, and all of the other automated handoff and design spec related features. They really seem to help real well with consultant roles since being as lean as possible on product design projects is always key.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

I don't like that the Photoshop integration isn't as good as the Sketch integration. It's understood Photoshop is probably more difficult to integrate with because of the limitations by Adobe, but I feel like it's probably used by more users than Sketch. The integration is cool and good, but still not as good as Sketch. In addition, the Photoshop layers imported are not editable in UXPin.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

UXPin, although very useful and industry leading, is mostly geared toward single-product companies and less for consultancies. For consultants the only real subscription plan that makes sense is the Enterprise level. The great thing is UXPin seems to be willing to work with Enterprise subscribers on number of users and potentially pricing.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The design systems feature will prove to be very valuable for those product teams who use it.

  ### 33. One of the most reliable sources for makers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The amount of detailed resources on processes, tools and skills are good.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Their prototyping solution is not good.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Use their resources and try their software but make sure to compare it to other tools in the market. Their solution is lightweight and fast but not packed with the most advanced solutions.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teaching designers on the tools and skills of the various designs.

  ### 34. Best collaboration tool for client presentations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The ability to collaborate with clients...its really awesome...we have been using UXPin since 6 months now

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

In case we need to prototype...its hard to have animations and transition of level of axure...but still....i am exploring that aspect

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Quick learning curve for this software....I learned the basics in about 20 Mins

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There wasnt any effecient and coat effective mechanism to collaborate with the clinet till we got UX pin...

  ### 35. UXPin High Level Design Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Among plenty of features: cross-platform (web interface) and device agnostic, cloud based, photoshop and sketch import, sync functionality, highly customizable, many functions are automated (Low code development platforms), full stack and innovative, designers oriented.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

There is no "for developers" category. Some features can be customized by developers.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Build for designers by designers. For those who want to build a design system.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prototyping, making sketches and mockups, accumulating / categorizing resources, making an order out of designer's scattered and unstructured data.

  ### 36. A good experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elaine Y. | Criador Visual Sênior, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2016

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Intuitive interface for those who want to mount navigable wireframes quickly. Even for beginners, there is no need for a prior explanation to start using.
Libraries are another positive point: they show features for simulation of social media, elements of the Android system, IPad, Iphone, and others, which makes the navigation experience even more immersive.
I also liked the email service. They were very cordial and solved my problem, surpassing my expectations.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

I had problems with the button "delete" and "duplicate" screens, because at least twice, I accidentally clicked the delete button instead of duplicate. Again, I clicked very quickly on one of the pages, and again, I mistakenly clicked on "delete". The proximity of those two buttons was not a good one, in my opinion.
Sometimes, when I click on an element, it leaves the place without I move the mouse, getting a few millimeters out of the frame.
The menus on the left side (library, screens, pictures) were very tight. I think the place where all the images used in the wireframe are located could be somewhere else, to give more space to handle the library items and the screens.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being intuitive, it was quick to create the first sketches of the project, and this agility was important in the process. Like any program that is intended to create wireframes, this one helped me to predict navigation and design problems. Also, it helped in the search for references in the solution of these problems, through the elements of the library.

  ### 37. New and Improving (But didn't quite meet my needs)

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

It's mostly drag and drop so it's easy to use and offers higher fidelity tools for creating quick and dirty prototypes.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

I found support for any level of advanced interactivity to be lacking.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prototyping designs

  ### 38. Initially showed promise, but ultimately it was a disappointment!

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I enjoy being able to design simple UI and wireframe within the same tool I plan to use for a clickable prototype as it helps to speeds up my workflow.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

An arial view of all screens would be much more beneficial than having to click through to each page / section. It can get confusing with more complex projects. Some of the UI was not intuitive which is very frustrating. Especially within this industry

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

There are other more intuitive products that I would investigate first. If those don't meet your needs I would then turn to UXPin

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped to illustrate our ideas and direction with clients who struggle to understand how their content will translate to an onscreen format.

  ### 39. Weird pricing poli

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I really like the template libraries, the interaction flows, different states for each element. Workflow is easy to pick up, if you are familiar with Mockup tools and/or some Adobe products. The device simulation in combination with the different states for each item are probably best in class. They get that part right.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The Freemium model goes way too far here. It is totally not transparent what you are buying. Most innovative and new features will be perfectly working during the 7 day trial, but if you upgrade to a real plan you better be willing to spend the big bucks. Otherwise you might miss some important features once you are actually a customer.

They have things like custom CSS, import your fonts and typekit integrations only available to enterprise customers and free trials. You have to understand that there is no official price for the enterprise plan, the second most expensive option is $100 a month. That is $1200 a year for a web based prototyping tool and it doesnt give you access to all the features. I assume the Enterprise plan must be at least double the price, if they do not declare it on their website.

Their business seems to have no interest in the user needs, once signed up. There is not even a way to contact support from the dashboard. They however push notifications through your dashboard with to test features in hope you upgrade to enterprise, because you cant live without them after testing them.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Make surre you understand, that features will be missing after your free trial converst to premium plans.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I could use all the features that came with the trial UXPin would solve all my prototyping needs. Web based prototyping is obviously the way to go especially in collaboration with different decision makers. If you are fine without custom CSS and without your own fonts this tool is good. The inability to create a drop shadow below a simple box is the turn off for me. Back to Balsamiq and XD for now...

  ### 40. Great for user testing. Some bugs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

They are constantly updating to make a better experience. There are bugs we have to work around, especially when conducting user testing - e.g. if they click in the wrong spot and end up having to start over. We are able to build quickly and make changes. Those who don't use it regularly are easy to ready to present it to clients or test.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Some bugs. Still limited in the types of experiences we create. If we are testing with it, we do need to clear out cookies in browser after every test or we run into issues.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Do a free trial.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Concept testing, resonance testing to create user-centered experiences.

  ### 41. powerful product

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

You could do a lot more than most product in the market. It was like azure but smarter and cleaner and better integrated

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Bringing animation into it.. Can be easy to get high fidelity distracted and not concentrate on low fidelity, fast passed mockups.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Great powerful tool for prototyping. Easy to sync all sorts of files and simple to get around

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User testing. Prototyping. it identified pain points with different points of our design

  ### 42. Favorite prototyping app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** pinguino k. | Freelance Creative Director, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I've been using UXPin for a couple years, and it's my favorite tool to create clickable wireframes and mockups. I tried a few others, and they were all really slow and unstable. UXPin has been consistent and reliable, and always improving their featureset.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Something still feels off about the editing tool; I still prefer to build everything in Creative Cloud and import into UXPin. I'll probably give the editor another shot when I start my next project.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easier for nontechnical people to visualize the app or website being created if they can click through wireframes and mockups. It also unifies the vision of the project so that the programmers, designers, and clients all know exactly what's being made.

  ### 43. Positive but room for improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Collaboration, documentation, user testing, real-time updates to live link

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

Lack of conditional logic, no easy way to make selection of many elements in a state

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prototyping, use for demos, design systems

  ### 44. It's Complicated

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

That it has a over abundance of ui elements for you to use.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

How overly complex the software is and that it does not really have a lot of value for you to use it once you are done wireframing.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Use it if you must.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need an interactive prototyping software where we can then take what we create and convert it to a useable document for design or development

  ### 45. Uxpin

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I like how similar the layout is to Photoshop, it makes it easier for me to learn how to use it. I also like that you can add multiple collaborators to a project.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

I haven't used it long enough to find issues.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been redesigning the corporate website and uxpin has allowed us to make a functioning mockup ready for development.

  ### 46. UXPin is amazing!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2017

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

UXPin helped us to develop mocks and wireframes for app ideas that we had with ease of use. We could figure it out quite easily and the documentation was also very helpful. WIth UXPin we have been able to mock and showcase our app ideas to clients as well as developers

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

There is a bit of a learning curve but nothing that reading the documentation can't fix!

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to mock and present app ideas to clients and investors as well as for developers to use as a basis when taking it from concept to working product

  ### 47. I was using extended trial period to test if this tool will be good enough to make decent prototypes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan P. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2016

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

drag and drop is nice, also the fact that you can use many built-in UI elements and export option. I liked making animations and live prototype which i shared with my coworkers. Wire-framing was fast, tool is easy-to-learn and best thing is that it beats pen and paper wire-framing to the pulp, because changes are fast, immediately seen and it has nice grid.

Also, customer service was very nice and professional, they answered in mannered timeframe and helped me even if I was trial-user.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

At the time I was using UXPIN, I had to make prototype for website, and mockup was very detailed which resulted in slugish behavior of the platform, loading time was significantly longer. Other than that, I can say that I didn't like.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

If you need fast and easy-to-learn SaaS solution for mockups (both wireframes and prototypes), I recommend you to try it, it has free trial period to ensure that they have all that you need.

My personal opinion that UXPIN is very good SaaS for wireframing and prototyping, but I've seen and used way better software. My bottom line is - just use trial and try it, maybe it meets your every need.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm Forntend Designer, so i solve UX and UI design problems and implement design and intended behavior in final solution. So i'm both designer and frontend developer and I can tell that UXPIN is user-friendly to both positions. I did prototype very fast and that was crucial at the time because deadline was tight, so thank you UXPIN! =D

  ### 48. Really good software for UX designer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr M. | Marketing & UX Coordinator, Primary/Secondary Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2016

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

Is't really innovatiw and trendy SASS software for mockups creating. It's alternative for Axure and in a lot of cases beter then older brohter. Thius guys are from Poland & making a good job. I love a click, slide animations, they are awsome. I love a import pfrom Scratch and Photoshop, it's help, and accelerate designing Hi-Fi process.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

In bigger projects UXPin working slow, have problem with projects big like 200 screens. Ofcourse You can split Your project into a smaller pieces but in Axure You don't have this problems.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

If You don't have tool for wireframing and prototyping this software can be answer for Your needs

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Mockup creation, HiFi, LoFi
- User testing
- Kickoff meating drawing tool
- Group mockup sketching
- Prototyping, wireframing

  ### 49. An everyday tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2016

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

I really enjoy the fact that it's cloud based. I can work on my projects from multiple locations and share my projects with coworkers. I appreciate the collection of pre made elements which saves me a huge amount of time. The preview mode with client comments is a really powerful tool to develop websites and apps. I really like the new interface, it's easier to navigate through the site plan.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

In the new version, I felt that the smart elements are unstable. Some of the smart elements were loosing some information when installed in new pages. Since the redesign, some elements are harder to find : for example the export to png, pdf and html button.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have to interpret business models and create their web version. My job is to be the bridge between clients and web developers. I create interfaces in wireframe and I also do the design. Using ux pin helped me become more flexible with my schedule, since it's cloud based. I also, with the help of the comments in the preview mode, gain clear feedback from clients directly on the wireframes.

  ### 50. UXPin is a highly productive prototyping app.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael M. | CEO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2016

**What do you like best about UXPin?**

The application itself is well-designed and appealing to the eye. Unlike many other prototyping applications, UXPin has a coherent interface. The interaction and animation system is easy and intuitive, which contains selectors and combinators very similar to those used in production code. It also comes with a huge standard library of elements, allowing one to get started more quickly.

**What do you dislike about UXPin?**

The edge snapping is somewhat primitive. It would be very helpful if the snapping were more advanced as in Photoshop.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPin:**

Use it. I've looked at a lot of prototyping applications with but UXPin is simple and effective, and covers most prototyping needs.

**What problems is UXPin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I design small interaction models for websites to improve user experience. A prototyping application has allowed me to more quickly get a design out of my mind and onto the screen.
