**What do you like best about Upstart Auto Retail?**

Upstart is a very clean-looking program that is easy to follow. It provides great information for the customers and assists them in comparing and pricing vehicles. It allows them to shop and play with finances from home. One of the best things about Upstart is their customer service. Our customer service rep is always available and ready to help. They are not only reactive to problems, they are proactive in reaching out and making sure things are going well. They've come to our dealership multiple times to provide training and refresh training. They have been a great partner to work with.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

The only dislike is some integrations with other tools. Our trade-in value tool is CARFAX and it is not yet compatible with Upstart. I don't think there are any other improvements I can think of.

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upstart is providing customers with a way to shop from home and get information before they come in and start the process. It saves them time at the dealership. The in-store program on iPads provides our sales team members a way to work wit the customer without having to walk away. They also allow the sales team member to scan documents, driver's licenses, and more on the iPad. It's very helpful in staying with the customer

**What do you like best about Upstart Auto Retail?**

Ability to give our customer's the power to work their deal from the comfort of their home and save their valuable time that used to be spent waiting in the dealership.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

There have been some bugs but updates to the platform seem to fix many of the issues that we have had.  The performance manager (Charles) has been outstanding!

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The automotive retail business is going through a transformation as the process that used to be in place decades ago has become antiquated.  Many people value their time above all else and studies show that consumers want to save time by getting much of the sales process out of the way before visiting a dealership.  The dealers are still, very much, a necessary entity for the customer and Upstart's platform introduces an e-commerce experience in a business that has required that customer's come into the store to complete a transaction.

**What do you like best about Upstart Auto Retail?**

For a local, small-town dealership to take a jump into digital retailing, it can sometimes take a village to get off the ground. The team at Upstart - starting with Chris Marks - made sure we knew exactly what to expect, what we would be getting into, and how things would work with our existing platforms.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

We were unaware that we would need certain abilities with other platforms and services that we utilize in order to fully integrate the Upstart platform. We were able to circumvent a good bit of issues without delaying our launch and were online much sooner than anticipated.

**Recommendations to others considering Upstart Auto Retail:**

This is an amazing start to any digital retailing experience. Most impressive was after the demo, when I was still able to freely access and move thru their tool to discuss and show my management team and answer their questions in real time. Even if you are familiar with CDK and other Digital Retailing tools but haven't implemented them into your business, this is a great place to start.

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have a strong digital presence. We recognized the need for a stronger, more home-friendly environment to shop for a car and really prove that we can limit the amount of time spent at the dealership. The biggest benefit has been giving our customers the freedom to move thru their own deal and reach out with more informed information to solve their needs.

**What do you like best about Upstart Auto Retail?**

I like the integration very much but most important is the congruency it provides between in-dealership and online purchasing experiences.  This is the beginnings of a quality platform that would be at home in any industry.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

The platform/ application is young and it shows.  There need to be additional integrations with DMS providers and the functionality from the manager's station is rudimentary.  Additional features such as customer info/address view, multiple vehicle desking, and roll payment options would be helpful.  We are here at the epoch and understand it takes time to develop these features, but are waiting anxiously for the next, more robust, offering.

Remember it is a growing platform that will become more and more functional.

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is difficult working in an industry that has been taken hostage by two or three software conglomerates.  It is even more difficult when you realize the product offerings are sub-par.  Our industry is painfully tech resistant and I hope this product will help springboard us into a new, more transparent future.

The tool is very easy to use, our customers are working out their deals on the site. More leads are coming through with this tool. Our Success Manager Keira is so knowledgable of the tool and is quick to respond to any of my questions.

I have not found anything yet that I can say I dislike about upstart.

Most important it is easy for the customers to use. The BDC can see everything they have done is pulled into the CRM. The launch process is quick and easy.

More interest with the tool, it is easy for our customers to use. Increase in leads to the dealership with trade-in info and credit applications

**What do you like best about Upstart Auto Retail?**

I love how dedicated the Upstart team is to upgrading and innovating its tools.  The dev team seems to move fairly quickly on certain projects compared to most vendors I've worked with.  Additionally, the customer service from both the Support team and Account reps has been timely, thorough, friendly, transparent, and consistent across the board.  We like to get into the nitty-gritty details when it comes to problem-solving or customization requests and I have yet to meet someone on the Upstart staff, no matter their role, who hasn't been able to play ball and get us the in-depth answers or solutions we need. Our previous account rep, Jesse, helped us all along the way since the launch of the tool on our site and never left us feeling stranded or out of the loop.  Even upon transitioning to a new account rep, there were zero growing pains with both reps making the transition seamless. Our new rep, Charles Rowe, hasn't skipped a beat in keeping our team updated on the latest news and being our main liaison for anything we need help with.  It's hard to find a company with this much consistency across the board, so thank you for all that you do!

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

Haven't found much we dislike at the moment!  We are always going to be one of those dealer groups who want to be able to drill down and do the most granular customizations on our sites - so that can sometimes be a bummer when certain things are limited.  But we also understand the boundaries and appreciate the transparency about projects in your queue and whether our expectations are even realistic, rather than being strung along.  For us, as long as communication is honest and consistent, we can usually make the best of what we've got.

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to offer a cleaner, more flexible customer experience with the Upstart tool.  Being able to see all the steps of the checkout process and jump to the one we want, is a great improvement from what we previously had.  We also see all the features that continue to be built in and realize the huge benefit of working with a company that is trying to check off all the boxes of what dealers need most.

We were using another tool prior to this and changeover is always tough. There are a few things I have to relearn, but the tool has been a great addition so far.

I like the feature that the program shows the finance, lease and cash options, most sales reps have a higher closing ratio using the upstart sales options

very glitchy, on the ipad we have to log out and re-login to get the updated structure and on the desktop at times we have to refresh so we can get the next customer name and vin number, on the "search box" is hard to find customers not firendly use

make sure you have a strong and fast wifi signal

we are solving the waiting process, with upstart we can work on multiple quotes at the same time. Fast selling process.

I had some hesitation when we first considered Upstart.  At that time they were a small company with roughly 100 Automotive accounts.  Their customer service, quality platform and technology have been more than a pleasant surprise.  They have met and exceeded all expectations and promises.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

Nothing so far.  The product has performed even better than the goals set by Upstart team.  If I had to nitpick the back-office tool is a bit clunky but that is me looking for something to put on here.

**Recommendations to others considering Upstart Auto Retail:**

I know Autofi is a great product and has great support.   Give Upstart a shot, they provide excellent service and products for digital retailing.

Creating a digital retail automotive purchase process for our website. The program has helped us identify which leads are further down the purchase funnel and made a seamless process for purchasing a vehicle online.

Upstart is a great digital retailing solution that provides all the features of some larger name tools but at a more affordable price point.
Their support staff is always great to work with and will do everything possible to find you a solution to any issue.

It can be a little cumbersome to set up with inventory feeds etc. but most digital retailing tools take this same amount of work.

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to solve an issue of engagement on our site while new vehicle inventory is low. Upstart allowed us to bring in a build and price tool so we're keeping customers on the site, even when there is little to no new car inventory to be displayed. 
Engagement on our site is up and we see more qualified leads.

Upstart Auto provides an intuitive online digital retailing customer experience along with an efficient and integrated in-store retail process that benefits the customer and the dealership.  The online system has created internet leads and the in-store system has made it easier to implement a consistent sales process for our team.

I cannot think of anything major that we dislike about Upstart Auto.  Like all technologies, there are things that need fixed or adjusted, but Upstart Auto support has been responsive and effective.

Upstart Auto provides an effective digital retailing tool that is becoming more common in our industry.  This has generated more internet leads by having this tool linked to inventory.  The in-store application is great for creating a consistent sales process and customer experience.

There is nothing not to like about the product. It is extremely customizable to fit your process and needs. The customer service and support will make everything fit together.

We like how it makes our pricing more transparent to customers. It puts the customer in the drivers seat of their deal and allows them to customize their payments and options

I think our biggest complaint was getting the logo on the website. The sizing was always a problem and it took a lot of back and forth with Upstart employees to get the logos to display correctly on our website.

The new UI looks fantastic and the support team is top-notch.  Our representative, Sam, is also great.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

Would, of course, love for it to be added to the HDS digital retailing program (with us being a Honda dealer).  No other complaints come to mind.

We, along with the support team, developed a protection plan package bundle for our store.  It has been one of our top-selling add-ons.

This digital retailing tool is user-friendly and gets our customers the information they want at the present time. We receive all the information the customer has submitted which makes their in-store time much less.

With the current market (COVID, inventory shortages), Upstart has been a great tool for customers to complete the buying process from home.

**What do you dislike about Upstart Auto Retail?**

I wish there was more ability to customize the experience.

**What problems is Upstart Auto Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing customers to work through the buying process without or prior to visiting the store. Customers who do choose to complete the process are much more informed about the process and the vehicles they are inquiring about.
