They are solving a global issue that can only be answered with their approach. It just so happens they executed on that mission perfectly with UMH! At every turn you dive deep into all of the information they provide (source code, documentation, discord) you realize they choose the right answer for the industry. Every. Time. So if you want to know where the industry is going, look into UMH and see what's possible. **What do you dislike about UMH?** Their documentation does need a revamp, but if you do have questions, the community discord is a great source for getting your questions answered, and for networking with like-minded industry experts. **What problems is UMH solving and how is that benefiting you?** They have put together a FOSS configuration file that will give you the data infrastructure required for a digitally transformed enterprise. This will drastically cut down the cost of implementation, all while making it manageable for a single IT system admin. ### 2. Out of the box solutions that require little skill to setup but still not limits you proprietary solution. The openness and possibility to add whatever custom features you like is a great advantage. The fact that all the heavy configuration like database setup and stuff is already done is a huge benefit and time saver. **What do you dislike about UMH?** Basically nothing. Only negative thing is that their resources does not meet their vision yet. But hopefully they will manage to expand more soon. **What problems is UMH solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collecting data from production and other systems. We can evaluate production among other things. Visualization of production status, erp-data etc. ### 3. As an integrator/end costumer the time to result is reduced significantly (70%-80% "useless" plumbing work gets done with one command, after that you can directly start integrating and working on useful results) The support and community is also superb. **What do you dislike about UMH?** The goal of UMH is to be the Apple of IT/OT integration. I think it still requires some technical background (yaml files, some Kubernetes knowledge for specific integrations, ...) This requires further improvement from UMH side. I'm personally also convinced a minimal level IT-OT maturity is required to get started with this product at scale yet it lowers the complexity by a lot. **What problems is UMH solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fast IIoT integration that keeps reliable and managable. ### 4.
