This allows for parallel testing of multiple carrier projects without the constraints of physical lab resources. The platform's snapshot functionality ensures consistent test data and simplifies the handover process between engineers. However, improvements are needed in file upload limits, resource monitoring, and the availability of industry-specific templates to further enhance its usability. **What do you like best about Truecore Infrastructure as a a service?** As a Wireless Business Infrastructure Manager at American Wireless Network Solutions Inc, the biggest advantage Truecore IaaS brings to our wireless carrier deployment work is its fully isolated virtual data center environments and reliable snapshot functionality. Before we adopted this tool, we relied entirely on physical lab racks and old OpenStack platforms. Last March, we took on two concurrent carrier wireless upgrade projects for our regional telecom partner. Our physical lab hardware was fully occupied by the first project’s long-term radio traffic stress tests, leaving zero resources for the second project’s firmware verification. We were forced to delay the project progress, which almost caused a breach of our delivery timeline with the carrier client. After switching to Truecore, I can spin up multiple independent virtual labs with dedicated compute, storage and carrier-grade virtual networking at will. Each simulated environment has exclusive backhaul settings, VLAN rules and bandwidth limits, with zero cross-project configuration interference. Our engineers can run firmware compatibility tests and tower site network simulation for multiple carrier projects in parallel, completely solving our physical hardware resource bottleneck. What impresses me most is the full environment snapshot feature. Last month, we optimized a set of low-latency network templates for a new 5G tower deployment. I saved the complete virtual environment state via snapshot. When our team needed to repeat verification tests or hand over the project to another engineer, we just restored the snapshot in one click. It avoids repetitive manual configuration and ensures consistent test data, greatly stabilizing our pre-deployment wireless validation workflow. **What do you dislike about Truecore Infrastructure as a a service?** The most troublesome issue is its strict large file upload size limit for virtual storage. Our team needs to import massive wireless radio firmware packages and tower configuration resource packs for pre-deployment verification. Back in April, we were testing a new batch of macro radio firmware for our mainstream carrier partner. The firmware file size exceeded Truecore’s direct upload threshold, so we had to first upload the complete firmware package to our Fast.io hosting space, then download it separately in every single virtual test environment. This redundant workflow wasted a lot of engineering time. Worse, a minor network jitter occurred during one virtual machine download process, resulting in corrupted firmware files. Our engineers ran a full round of simulation tests based on the damaged file, got completely abnormal test data, and spent nearly half a day troubleshooting before finding the root cause. In addition, Truecore’s resource monitoring and alert system is very primitive. It only sends delayed email notifications when virtual compute and network resources are overloaded, with no real-time dashboard reminders. During heavy traffic simulation tests, we often fail to notice resource exhaustion in time, leading to invalid test results. Also, there are no pre-built wireless industry templates, so we have to manually configure all carrier network parameters from scratch, making the initial environment setup extremely tedious and time-consuming. **Recommendations to others considering Truecore Infrastructure as a a service:** To improve Truecore IaaS, it would be beneficial to increase the file upload size limit for virtual storage, allowing for more efficient handling of large firmware packages. Additionally, enhancing the resource monitoring and alert system with real-time dashboard notifications would help prevent resource exhaustion during heavy traffic simulations. Pre-built wireless industry templates could also streamline the initial environment setup, reducing the time and effort required for manual configuration. **What problems is Truecore Infrastructure as a a service solving and how is that benefiting you?** Truecore Infrastructure as a Service perfectly solves the core pain points of insufficient physical lab resources and inflexible testing environments that plagued our wireless infrastructure team for a long time. Previously, we only had a limited number of physical server racks and OpenStack virtual instances, which could not support multi-project parallel testing. Last March’s carrier project delay incident was a typical example—we could not start the second client’s firmware verification work on time due to hardware occupation, bringing huge operational pressure to our team. Now with Truecore, I can deploy unlimited isolated virtual data center environments according to project demands. It perfectly simulates real tower site backhaul latency, bandwidth constraints and carrier network operation rules, allowing us to complete full firmware compatibility and network performance tests in a virtual environment. We can detect configuration errors, firmware bugs and network adaptation problems in advance, avoiding on-site deployment failures after technicians go to the tower. This platform greatly improves our project efficiency and allows us to take on more concurrent carrier wireless deployment projects. However, it still has workflow flaws. There is no native integration with our daily tool Fast.io. All verified firmware and configuration files need manual export and upload operations. We once nearly released untested intermediate files to field technicians due to manual misoperation.
