I currently use Togal for takeoff, but it would be a game changer if Togal let me import my own library of about 4,000 assemblies and made it easy to navigate while I’m doing a takeoff. Also, when I enter new takeoff items that aren’t already in the library, being able to save them for the next estimate would be another big upside. I’m developing an AI estimating software based on my own database, so if I could export my Togal takeoff (which is mostly made up of my own assemblies), the estimate output could be automatic instead of requiring the manual entry I currently do in Accubid/Mccormick or Conest. It speeds up doing takeoffs on projects with its automation tools and built-in customizable formulas to generate costs. I love the simplicity and user-friendly UI, making it very easy to understand. The customer support is great, and the cloud-based storage is so helpful in keeping my computer from getting overloaded with files. With Togal.AI, it's simple and reliable to upload and do takeoffs on drawings, and it generates project costs simultaneously. The cloud platform lets me return to a project months or years later. The AI Togal button is quite handy, automatically identifying and counting numerous items. The features for duplicating items and comparing sheets are fantastic because they make it simple to find discrepancies and changes during Addenda Reviews. This feature saves me so much time by letting me overlay the previous sheet under the new one to easily see and mark any changes, ensuring I don't miss any details. Working from home or any laptop is seamless since Togal.AI works in a browser. The AI aspect really boosts our productivity and ease of workflow. Setting Togal.AI up was super easy; you just configure a few settings on the first takeoff, and it’s smooth sailing from there. Using repeating groups, greatly helps when creating takeoffs on Hotels & Multi Family Housing units that have specific Room Types, as you can create 1 room type and select all the other rooms that have that same tag, and effortlessly get an accurate count instead of manually going through every room and doing the individual takeoff! The only downsides of using Togal.AI is it has many of the same restrictions that most cloud based softwares have versus their offline counterparts.
