## About Tideway
Tideway is the back office for freelancers and small studios who own their client relationships: videographers, editors, designers and the two-person shops that write their own proposals and chase their own invoices. The work starts as a scope agreement the client signs. When the job grows, the extra becomes a change order the client approves before the work happens, which is the difference between a scope conversation and an unpaid one. Time and expenses attach to the project as they land, so the invoice is assembled from what actually happened rather than from memory at the end of the month. Invoices go out branded, with a pay link, recurring if the work is retained. Payments run through Stripe Connect directly to the freelancer's own account. Tideway never holds the money and takes no cut of it. Above that sit the things a spreadsheet stops answering after the first year: profit and loss by project, effective hourly rate, a pipeline of the work that has not closed yet, files with client approvals and comments, a calendar, notes and time tracking. Base is the whole business at $12 a month billed annually, capped on how many projects run at once rather than on features. Pro removes the cap and adds analytics, the pipeline and Scope Shield.
