"Seamless App Allowlisting with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I really like the ThreatLocker Platform's UI; it's very good and easy to use, making navigation and management simple from a leadership perspective. The product works as intended, and the cyber hero support is great. Whenever I have questions or minor problems, the cyber hero team provides excellent responses with phenomenal communication skills. The initial setup was very easy with no issues, and the ThreatLocker team's support was very helpful. I appreciate knowing the folks at ThreatLocker and like where the company is headed with their leadership and features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

I would like the reporting to offer easier to read metrics for different audiences. If I need to create a report for one group, it looks the same as the other others. And I would like to be able to tailor reports depending on if it’s another leader, practitioner, or other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Configurable and User-Friendly Security Platform"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I like the default deny feature and the highly configurable policies that ThreatLocker Platform offers. These features make my team confident that we aren't having suspicious or unusual software installed by users without being vetted first. Additionally, I can restrict software from doing things like writing to the registry or to arbitrary file paths. The initial setup was extremely easy, the installation process was a breeze, and the onboarding process ensured we understood the platform with frequent follow-up meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

I dislike the minor inconveniences with the testing platform because it doesn’t allow for copying hash values to paste into VirusTotal. Additionally, configured, device-specific policies cannot be easily copy-pasted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Cybersecurity Tool with Strong Support"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I find the ThreatLocker Platform easy to use and intuitive. The support from their cyber hero teams is great, providing an escalation point for setting up features or resolving major issues. There's also a ton of material online to help get comfortable with the platform, which is really helpful. I like the app whitelisting and ring fencing features, and it's one of the best tools we have in our cybersecurity stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

I think using AI to help with identifying the app approval process could really improve the system. Right now, it's definitely a manual process, and it can get overwhelming when a lot of approval requests come in at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Notch Security with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I appreciate ThreatLocker Platform for its application allow listing functionality, which is key in securing both our company and our clients from cyber threats. Even though it's not the most straightforward software to use, the training resources are plentiful and the support is excellent. I value features like ring fencing that restrict app interactions and control their internet access, as well as network and storage protection. The initial installation is pretty easy, and I like that it can run in learning mode, which is important for training it before moving to the protection mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

The concept of 'restrict by default' is tough to execute without causing noise, like user requests for access, making ThreatLocker somewhat noisy until it gets dialed in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ThreatLocker’s Default-Deny Approach Gives You Total Control Over What Runs"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

Instead of chasing malware signatures like it’s 2009, ThreatLocker blocks everything by default and only allows what you approve.

That means random EXEs, scripts, or LOLBins don’t just get to vibe on your system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

When you move to default-deny: Users suddenly discover how many weird little helper processes their apps use, and your HelpDesk is flooded with constant emails about how a software they swear they've "used for 20 years without issues" is now not working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Security with Quick Response Times"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I use ThreatLocker Platform primarily to keep our clients protected, as it runs hand in hand with SentinelOne as our primary sources of antivirus and protection software. I really value the quick responses it provides. It's super streamlined when a client needs to allow a certain program; they can request it to be allowlisted, it auto-creates a ticket in our ticketing software, and gives me the information to verify and allow the software. ThreatLocker Platform is a one-of-a-kind, all-in-one solution that makes our work easier and streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

I would say the policy update times. At times it works very quickly but other times it may take a bit longer than anticipated to give the client what they are requesting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Peace of Mind with Robust Whitelisting"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I like that ThreatLocker Platform stops anything I'm not allowing, which helps prevent unauthorized application running. It's valuable because it gives me peace of mind by catching everything I haven't approved, helping me sleep better. The setup was pretty easy, I'd give it a 10 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

Honestly, the only thing I would change is to add an option to certain groups that would only receive application updates at a scheduled time. The updating of the database at a scheduled time would allow servers using shared storage time to update their databases without issue. If you have older storage this can be a problem. "Essential App Control with Some Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I use the ThreatLocker Platform for application and elevation control, which helps implement app control without needing a huge team. I like the 'Deny by Default' feature; it's great and complements our antivirus well. If the antivirus does not detect something, ThreatLocker will block it if there is no allowed app policy. This feature is beneficial as it helps catch things our antivirus might miss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

The elevation control granularity could be better. It would be nice if we could allow elevation for users by policy similar to app control. Today if you turn it on, all users are affected. This does not allow us to run parallel, making migration harder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Peace of Mind with Robust Application Control"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I like ThreatLocker Platform for its application control and unified audit log. The application control helps in securing our environment by preventing unauthorized applications from running, making us feel secure that no sketchy executables can be downloaded. The unified audit log is great for reviewing what's running on the machine and is also useful during the general troubleshooting process for execution. It has saved us time and money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

Sometimes the beta portal or main portal go down but this is very rare. Some ways that global denies and policy order causes issues with known bad apps that share common libraries that known good apps use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Application Control and Elevation Management"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker Platform?

I like the ease of use and the single pane view of the ThreatLocker Platform, especially after replacing multiple other apps and products. It allows me to control all application allowlisting and elevation from a single platform and provides a unified audit for logging. The initial setup was very easy; I had it deployed to the Proof of Concept within a couple of hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Platform?

I don't like the automatic groups within the platform. I would like the ability to automatically add devices to the correct groups in platform rather than by using the deployment methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
