# What's the best sales engagement platform with transparent pricing that doesn't hide costs in lead enrichment or contact export add-ons?

Hey G2 community! The best sales engagement platform with transparent pricing that doesn't hide costs in lead enrichment or contact export add-ons is genuinely hard to pin down, because the sticker price rarely tells the full story. Credit limits, export charges, enrichment add-ons, and seat-based pricing walls all show up in reviews once teams start scaling.

Here's how the top options shake out on this based on G2 reviews:

Apollo.io: Per-user pricing is described as transparent and fair for small teams, but reviewers flag that credit limits on lower plans run out faster than expected during heavy prospecting weeks, and credits still get consumed even when contact data comes back incomplete.

HubSpot Sales Hub: Easy to start on, but reviewers consistently flag that useful features sit behind module-level paywalls, and pricing scales up sharply once you add seats or need advanced functionality.

Salesloft: Powerful cadence platform, but pricing and contract flexibility come up repeatedly as pain points, particularly around auto-renewals and limited ability to adjust seat count mid-term.

Outreach: It's a mature platform with strong features, but the cost and onboarding investment make it hard to justify for smaller or leaner teams.

Close: More predictable on pricing for inside sales teams, with no separate data enrichment costs baked in since contact data is not part of the core offering.

If you've worked through the real total cost of ownership on any of these, I'd love to hear what surprised you. Which platform actually delivered on pricing transparency once your team was fully up and running?

Transparency here isn't really about the sticker price. It's whether cost per usable contact is knowable in advance. Credit-based models make it structurally unknowable: if credits are consumed even when enrichment comes back incomplete, your real cost depends on a failure rate the vendor never quotes. Has anyone actually gotten a vendor to put failed-enrichment billing in writing before signing?
