What is ThreatDown, and what problem is it built to solve?

ThreatDown is a cybersecurity vendor focused on threat intelligence and risk management. Its platform is built to help organizations identify, assess, and mitigate security threats, with real-time insights into emerging threats to inform security and incident response.

What languages does ThreatDown support?

ThreatDown supports 1 language: English.

What company sizes and industries is ThreatDown the best fit for?

ThreatDown appears most suited to small and mid-sized organizations, with enterprise use represented too. Its strongest industry presence is in IT and security, education, and construction.

How long does it take to implement ThreatDown across a team?

Implementation is most commonly reported as taking less than a month, with some deployments completed in under a day.

What customer support options does ThreatDown provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Support is available through help desk and email, phone, and self-service resources such as a knowledge base. The experience is often described as helpful and responsive, though some users encounter slow replies, inconsistent assistance, or a need to escalate tickets.

What is the experience like for teams switching to ThreatDown from another tool?

Teams switching to ThreatDown often move from endpoint security suites such as Symantec, Webroot, ESET, Sophos, and Microsoft Defender. The change is commonly driven by a desire for stronger threat detection, simpler centralized management, easier deployment, or better value; the new workflows are often easier to manage, although policy setup and learning the console can take some adjustment.

What features or capabilities could make ThreatDown even more useful?

ThreatDown could become more useful with refinements to reporting, integrations, and day-to-day administration. Users would benefit from improvements such as:
  • More customizable reports, clearer analytics, and easier ways to export and review incident data.
  • Broader and smoother connections with RMM, PSA, and other third-party tools.
  • More flexible patch management, including broader software coverage and finer scheduling controls.
  • More granular policy and endpoint controls that reduce manual reassignment and simplify routine tasks.

Is ThreatDown considered safe and secure for handling data?

ThreatDown is used as an endpoint security layer for detecting and blocking malware, ransomware, phishing, and risky websites, with centralized visibility and response tools that help teams investigate and contain threats. Users value the reassurance of seeing endpoint activity and acting from one console, though false positives and occasional blocking of legitimate files or websites can require review and adjustment.

"The Security command centre every business needs."
5/5
What do you like best about ThreatDown?

Threatdown are constantly adding new tools & features to better protect the business allowing us to unify more of our security stack into one pane of glass. This allows for more effective security management and reduces strain on IT resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatDown?

Enabling the ability to deploy policy based on username rather than endpoint would be huge, some users may use more than one machine, or get a replacement machine, policies then need to be manually reapplied, if the policy was mapped by username, this would stop the need for manual reassignment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent tool for End point defence as part of our Cyber Defence"
5/5
What do you like best about ThreatDown?

Threatdown is an important tool used in securing our network. The ease of use in administering the workstations and servers in everything from detections to updating and vulnerabilities greatly assists us in securing the network. The interruption to users is very minimal and no performance issues are caused by the software. The cloud administrator interface is excellent in allowing me to monitor the network remotely from even my phone. And we have only had a few false positives in the past years running the software. It has however stopped thousands of infected websites and malware files as well as.a targeted ransomware attack. I would highly recommend Threatdown as a tool in securing your businesses network as part of a cybersecurity organizational plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatDown?

Only problem we have encountered rarely is false positives which can quickly be ratified with the cloud control panel. For any other issues rarely encountered support has been very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that ThreatDown gives me central management, and I can customize policies and groups. I have tools to help protect my devices and servers, including application blocking and device control. "Enabling our Team and Others to be Remote and Secure"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ThreatDown?

Malwarebytes is super user friendly which saves our team a lot of time on training. It allows us to quickly find answers to questions that we ask internally as well as questions our clients have for us. We don't spend 20 minutes trying to find more information on a detection we received, we're able to find it immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatDown?

As we grow as a company, we are finding that Malwarebytes doesn't integrate as well with RMM providers, and that has proven a challenge for us. We'd love it if Malwarebytes would focus more on RMM integration so that it can work seamlessly across an ever-expanding IT infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
