What I like most about ThingSpeak is how simple it is to collect, visualize, and analyze real-time data from IoT devices. The setup process is straightforward, and I was able to connect my sensors and start viewing the data on graphs without much hassle or complexity. I also appreciate the integration with MATLAB analytics, since it enables more advanced data processing and automation. It’s particularly helpful for monitoring sensor data remotely, and the cloud-based dashboard makes it convenient to access and review everything from anywhere. One thing I dislike about ThingSpeak is that the free version has some limitations, like restricted data update rates and fewer features compared to the paid plans. This can be a bit limiting when working on projects that require faster or more frequent data updates. Also, the interface feels a bit basic and not as modern or customizable as some other IoT dashboards. While MATLAB integration is powerful, it can be slightly difficult for beginners who are not familiar with it. What problems is ThingSpeak solving and how is that benefiting you? ThingSpeak solves the problem of collecting and monitoring real-time data from sensors without needing to build a complex backend system. Instead of manually checking readings or storing data locally, it allows me to send data directly to the cloud and visualize it instantly on graphs. This has benefited me a lot in my IoT projects, where I need continuous monitoring of parameters like temperature, pH, or water quality. It helps me track trends over time, detect abnormal values early, and even automate certain actions using MATLAB analytics. Following are the things that I like the most about Thingspeak: 1. It is the best IoT analytics and visualization platform. 2. It allows me to analyze data in real-time (live) with a variety of popularly used IoT protocols. 3. Helps to measure and report simple as well as complex data. 4. It helped me to integrate my IoT projects over to the cloud to analyze data and provide analytics with ease. 5. It is a little complex when we talk about its real life application. Any Failure and bugs may result in serious consequences. However I haven't faced such issues yet. ThingSpeak is a very useful tool for businesses. Since it was launched back in 2010, they have had many updates to this system. I like best that they have a very close relationship with mathworks, inc. This is a such a largely known company, that is trustworthy. What do you dislike about ThingSpeak? The only thing I do not like about thingspeak is that there are a lot of different working parts. It is a cloud-based platform which you can send and retrieve data from now and then this particular platform is called ThingSpeak. It's unique in its own way as I nicely integrated with MATLAB.
