## The Wild Reviews
  ### 1. Visualization and Collaboration for BIM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Multi user collaboration in a Virtual Reality environment is a unique capability that helps make decisions faster. The ability to see options and change them out during FF&E meetings is great.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

There are some challenges with integrating non VR headset users into the meetings to participate in the discussion and decision making.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

The biggest differentiator is the collaborative environment... make sure you have more than 2 power VR users to take full advantage of the software.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Building Information Models in all of our Design Build projects. It is extremely important to get timely feedback in both 2D documentation and our model environments. The Wild helps bring stakeholders into the design model environment to pick out fixtures and finishes in real time with our team. This greatly speeds up the feedback loop from the owners to the designers before we ever get in the field with our construction team.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Hi Bradley, thanks for taking the time to write this review of The Wild on G2. We always value our partnership with you and your team. I hope the headset situation has gotten better for you all, and always reach out to Nick if you need anything at all. Also thank you for sharing how The Wild helps you bring everyone into the model in real time....a great way to speed up the decision making process!

  ### 2. A very useful tool for dynamic user engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter S. | Industrial Design Lecturer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild has hit the sweet spot creating platform for collaborative VR that is easy to use and very effective. They have been able to provide an effective and useful tool set without slowing down or complicating our workflow. We looked at other collaborative VR platforms but they all missed on ease of use, technical constraints, UX and willingness to engage and understand our needs. We recently used The Wild to gather feedback from end users (located in another city) to resolve come critical usability issues. The ability for them to see and move about the environment and for us to change the design based on their feedback in real time gave us high confidence all parties understood the problems and that the outcome would address their need. It will be a game-changer for how we operate as a team and engage with our clients.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

We have some issues with managing secure data for government projects and for including digital human mannequins. Having said that they have been very helpful, they have listened to our problems and either provided workarounds or identified how these are being addressed in the product development work. We have approached various companies that offer VR collaborative tools with our problems, none of them interested in really listening to us. The Wild listened, and we could see the tool evolve rapidly from a good tool to a great tool.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

We are impressed with the product, one of the important considerations is their willingness to listen and confidence they will continue to develop the software to meet our needs. It enables the design team to explore a wide range of ideas and concepts quickly and is also a powerful end user engagement tool.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to operate on layout and design with our team spread over a number of sites. We can go quickly from idea, to CAD to VR enabling us to understand problems and develop solutions quickly and effectively. We have been able to engage our stakeholders, share ideas and gather feedback that enables us to make better, quicker design decisions. Our clients and user groups are located all over Australia, this tool cuts through the problems with video conferencing and provides the rich engagement necessary for our human centred design process.

  ### 3. The easiest way to share an idea in VR so far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio Faustino C. | Coordinador BIM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The simplicity and the power of the platform is the best I´ve tried by far. The support team is another aspect to consider.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The VR technology is still in the early days (software development mostly) but The Wild can bring great experiences for early adopters

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Works great with untethered Meta Quest

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were in need of a platform to allow us share our project and ideas with non technical clients. With The Wild we achieve that since minute one

  ### 4. We have had a good experience with The Wild.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

For us, it is helpful to be able to inhabit the digital spaces, especially now that we are primarily working remotely. The AR component offers functionalities that we cannot get from Enscape or other rendering engines. Digital commenting, markups and real-time changes are even more important now that we are remote. I like that you can have multiple people inhabiting a space with varying skill levels - not everyone needs to be a confident operator with a VR headset. Since we do so much client-facing work, it's just not realistic to expect that they all will have the same comfort levels or tech-savvy that we will.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Having never used AR before, there is a bit of a learning curve, and I feel like things aren't super intuitive (for me). With that said, it seems like I will get the hang of it over time, but perhaps there could be more guiding instructions for beginner users? I also wish that you could see who is on your team - before I became a Team Admin I was not able to find the list of members in the desktop app.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

The Wild offers capabilities beyond that of Enscape and rendering engines, because you have the added layer of virtual collaboration and markups.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, it helps us inhabit digital spaces. This is helpful because many clients don't have drawing literacy - they haven't spent years looking at floor plans and therefore don't totally understand what they are signing off on. For us, we are more confident in feedback when we know the client has been "inside" the space and really understood it from an experiential perspective. In addition, being able to add a markup or comment in real-time is great because it feels natural - with Enscape or other rendering platforms it always feels a little clumsy trying to document feedback and bring it back to the model.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> We really appreciate your review here on G2! Love hearing how you are utilizing The Wild—both AR and VR–in your remote work and collaboration with others. Good feedback on the need for more training for beginners. You can always reach out to our support team at support@thewild.com for some additional training.

  ### 5. Fast, Compelling and User Friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin H. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild lets us quickly move from modeling to VR and allows different levels of immersion based on user experience. Asynchronous access is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Improved modeling tools in VR and bi-directional syncing would be wonderful features to have.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Changing existing workflows can be challenging. Encourage Project Managers and Project Architects to integrate The Wild into their regular design meetings. Issues that might take a number of conference calls and emails to resolve can be quickly resolved, saving both time and money.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use The Wild to evaluate both design and constructability. It lets us talk about how spaces feel and how things should be constructed in addition to identify conflicts between consultant's models and our own.

  ### 6. Focused architecture pre-vis and collaboration in VR

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | Product Designer - Horizon Worlds, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild shows a singular focus on helping non-technical users explore both grey-box and imported architectural spaces. I appreciate that distractions are kept to a minimum and that it's very easy to mock up a new space.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

While the abstract avatars are cute, I'd like the option to use more realistic and personalzied avatars

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

try importing your sketchup model and exploring a space with another user

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Exploring remodel options for a residential space. I was able to determine the best space layout for interior options.

  ### 7. The Wild has been great so far - looking forward to more features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Ease of use & model uploads
Collaboration & meeting with no setup

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Would like more modeling features (additional shapes/premitives), section plane features, and possibly the option for better visuals. (Some kind of rendering snapshot mode?)

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

If your team is looking for an option for interactive model viewing collaboration with great interactive tools and low to moderate visual quality, I would highly recommend trying The Wild.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick collaboration and interactive model reviews across different teams and team members.

  ### 8. A very good team gives us support in using cutting edge technology

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mate C. | BIM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

It is simple to use and works with wireless headsets

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

It only works with small, simple models. We have to split our models or reduce its detail to make it work.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Satisfied client is the main benefit. A client telling that we did a great job, our technology is advanced, and they experienced it first hand, because we brounght them in the virtual building before it was built.

  ### 9. Nice collaborative environment to look at static models.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The ability to have multiple people in at the same time.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

It is difficult to explain to stakeholders how to control their avatar/camera. We stopped putting them in (oculus quest & in desktop version) and just started screensharing. After a while, only our design team jumped in.

We stopped using it because it didn't allow for creating any interactive elements. On proximity triggers, billboarding, tag-along. Immersive, diegetic UI.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were communicating our vision for our VR experience to each other and collaboratively iterating on ideas that were difficult to refine in 2D mockups alone.

  ### 10. Client Collaboration Goes to the Next Level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark P. | Senior Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Working with clients collaboratively in new immersive ways. Being able to use consultants spread around the country and world without the time, expense and hassle of travel.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Extended periods of wearing a VR headset can be challenging.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems of not being able to meet face to face and having consultants and clients at a distance has made collaboration more difficult. However, with The Wild we have been able to get client feedback on very specific things with ease and at a great distance without the travel time and expense. In complicated building programs, clients are better equipped to understand the building solution and their expectation levels are set correctly.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Hi Mark, and thank you for your G2 review! We appreciate your sharing how collaborating with clients immersively and remotely has been helpful to you. Always good to hear when customers can save time, expense and avoid travel by using The Wild.

  ### 11. Great environment with great people. Ready for improvements.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher A. | Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The ability to emulate being with someone. The environment itself and the workflow, while not completely novel, is a good experience. Controls and movement are easy to understand and relatively intuitive. The team seems to listen to feedback and improvement ideas.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

There are new tools that could help. While most of anything considered a required tool is there, there are some improvements that can be made to make them even better.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

I would definitely suggest reaching out and getting a demo - it was enlightening and helpful. We have over 6 employees join within The Wild environment, using both the Headsets and their online platform to simultaneously test it out together.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a multifold challenge. The first is that it would be great to be able to experience our designs in three dimensions and, preferably, at a 1-to-1 scale to realize spatial experiences - both for the design team and with the Owner and Users of the spaces we design. Secondly, we need a (virtual) space to be able to analyze and review a model (project) so that we can look for coordination issues and discuss it - at multiple scales. Thirdly, we are looking for a virtual "sandbox" in which to have virtual meetings with or without a model.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Christopher, a thank you for your review is long overdue by us here at The Wild! I hope you are still enjoying the platform and have been introduced to some of our recent updates to the toolset! If you ever would like a review or quick demo to show you how to best utilize them, reach out at support@thewild.com. Thanks.

  ### 12. Collaborate without boundaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny J. | Director of Creative Labs, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

You can very quickly collaborate with team members around the globe

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

No lifelike avatars. Would be nice to have some level of personalization.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Most complete package. Excellent customer support group.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Work from home being the most current. Secondly remote office collaboration is much easier and more effective.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Danny, thanks for your thoughts on your interest in more lifelike avatars. Keep your eye on our product emails and updates to our roadmap to come! Thanks again for the review.

  ### 13. The Wild provides a unique experience to all the team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathalie A. | Senior Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The ability to view the model in VR and walk the model before it is built

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The tools like measuring tape can be difficult to use at times

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coordination, visualization prior to building, preconstruction with better communication with people not as knowledgeable about the project.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Thank you for your review, Nathalie! It's useful to hear how other teams are using The Wild for walkthroughs in before to communicate and visualize before it's built.

  ### 14. Value Proposition for The Wild

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Real-time multi-user collaboration in VR, empowers our teams and clients to plan, review and refined a broad range of projects in a much more rapid fashion than traditional tools. Speeding up feedback and reviews, while also providing a greater sense of fidelity and true sense of scale and immersion are game changers both for our internal efforts, and for interactions with clients. The Wild allows us to speed up reviews with greater accuracy and even shortens sales cycles by providing full context and visibility without requiring participants to imagine or mentally extrapolate from traditional workflow artifacts. Our development efforts also see a huge boon to productivity thanks to the ability to leverage The Wild as an important tool for pre-visualization allowing us to zero in and get closer to the final results right out of the gate - much of the back and forth is eliminated very quickly, allowing even more time for true creativity to flourish.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

I have a long list of nice to have features, but here are a few key items that are not necessarily dislikes, but nice to haves:
1. Support for Valve Knuckle controllers would be great.
2. It would also be a huge addition to support HTML content (dynamic and static) as assets within The Wild and as an active portal/method for additional review materials to avoid switching contexts.
3. Similarly, it would be nice to see or allow for a designated shape to be placed and act as a view back through Headset cameras to see the real environment without requiring a switch in contexts/removing headset/putting back on.
4. At some point in the future, the ability to also leverage Editor mode from the 2D client view without a headset - even if it was perhaps a reduced functionality analog or a subset of the features available when truly immersed in VR with a headset.
5. Would be great to be able to create additional teams within an account without requiring support intervention.
6. Support for exporting a scene/space out to additional formats like DAE or USDZ (in addition to FBX) would be very valuable, as well as individual elements from the Assets/Collections, as I've found that would enable some additional workflows/efficiencies - and the ability to control this per user and role.

I could provide a great deal of additional feature requests, functionality, etc.- but for the most part everything that currently exists is very useful - and where we have needed hand-holding and assistance the team at The Wild has always gone overboard in meeting our needs and discussing options and paths to accomplish our goals - incredibly helpful always.

If I had to hone in on item I do dislike, is how some of the controls are used in VR - very effective use of the aspect of immersed interactivity with controllers in both hands, but the constant mode switching between the two - requires a bit of constant usage to really become second nature. If there were some refinements to possibly allow a bit of control or configuration on how these elements/tools are selected or used, perhaps might make them easier or provide a more direct route to overcome that learning curve.

I'm also not a huge fan of the keyboard layout and controls for navigating in the 2D mode - I wish there was also a visual GUI element like some 3D apps like Blender and others that provide a visual shortcut for users to manipulate to control rotation/zoom/etc - in addition to the keyboard controls - even perhaps the ability to remap the existing keyboard based shortcuts would be helpful - the main issue though is for people not familiar with 3D controls/movements and allowing them to become proficient quickly without a learning curve, and I like to believe there may be some room for improvement there, even though I am sure the team has given this considerable thought. I just find that users in the "viewer" role using 2D have found it difficult to keep up sometimes or get acquainted. The ability to quickly share my vantage point, or drag someone along to a current point within a model or space would be useful.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Speak with Nick, Gabe, Mischa, Emiley, Clay and others on their team - incredibly supportive, helpful, open-minded and generous in their support and guidance - fantastic team behind the efforts and product they have put together. They can answer pretty much any question or guide you down the right path. For me this is a huge differentiator between some of their competitors or other similar offerings in the same space . Having the right people, who stand behind and support their services and offerings is invaluable - and how transparent and available they have made themselves - atypical and to be celebrated.r

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote collaboration, speeding up workflows, providing a more direct and literal representation of physical objects, spaces and shapes and buy or sign off by stake holders in a much more rapid fashion. Creating secondary artifacts for marketing and other use cases beyond engineering. Rough mockups to represent a specific creative state or a jumping off point to be refined. Reinforcement of the need for proper planning and pre-visualization for a variety of types of projects, and the benefits those processes reap when accomplished successfully. Specifically for us we are able to show customers exact positioning, or approximated positioning against existing models or roughed out approximations. We can show variations quickly, and even allow the client or team members to feel empowerment and an active participant in the process, allowing them to have a more direct say and impact on a project - which is often very effective in moving a project along or keeping it moving.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Hi Robert, thanks again for taking the time to think through the areas of improvement you wish to see in The Wild product. Hopefully we have come a long way in a year. If you ever want to connect you know how to reach us (me, Nick, Melissa). Thank you again for your review here on G2 and being so engaged in the product development.

  ### 15. Stellar Product from an Outstanding Company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristina W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild has been a great solution for us as we learn how best to communicate our designs to clients, and collaborate together in one model. The multi-person environment is key; the avatars are well designed so we can focus on the project at hand. This, plus the ability to move objects around and interact with the model in the virtual environment is what sets this apart from many other similar solutions. The Wild's team is always there to help and they truly listen to their customers' feedback. We have loved working in The Wild and look forward to increasing our use over the years.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The interface can be a bit confusing for those that are not as savvy with navigation in a virtual environment, but The Wild's development team is continuously updating their product and always listening to their customers. It has improved greatly even since we first purchased the product.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for communicating design and collaborating on design options. Meeting in a virtual environment with a 3D model allows all attendees to be on a level playing field and experience the design the same way.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Many thanks Kristina for your review of The Wild here on G2! I know we've been in touch with you over this year and hope you and your team are doing well as things get "back to normal" in our offices. We are happy to hear your thoughts on our product development and always appreciate your input.

  ### 16. Game changer in scene visualization and expert collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jannine H. | Technical Illustrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Real-time collaboration with multiple participants has consistently awed and impressed clients experiencing it for the first time. Our clients now have the ability to directly interact with our models in a way they never have before, making room for unprecedented levels of collaboration between teams.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

There is still so much uncharted territory that I'm just a little impatient to see where it goes! What we do is a little more on the fringe of things when it comes to scene visualization, so we have more unique requirements out of a visualization tool. What's great is the team is super responsive and is always always available to troubleshoot.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

If you're looking for a way to give clients a stronger voice in the design process this is it. You can create, adjust, record, and input just about anything. The markup feature gives clients the ability to communicate their needs and wants more fully, which is essential for any designer. Be prepared to put in a bit of work figuring out your preferred workflow, it's worth it.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously our clients relied on us exclusively to make input to the model, and there was more back and forth between us and the experts. Now we can move people and objects together and formulate theories in real-time, enabling more participation and enhancing collaboration between our teams.

  ### 17. The Wild VR ride

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The interactive collaborative environment and ability to change scales of the model. Allows for non-VR users to interact through computers or tablets.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The avatars are not realistic and hard to distinguish other than by color or name.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

If looking for a way to interact with clients and share a user experience, The Wild, provides the opportunitny to gather around a virtual table and look at objects from all sides as well as get into the model to experience the space first hand.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to hold virtual meetings with clients in the age of COVID. To be able to share and interact in a virtual conference room that allows the design to be studied at multiple scales.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Thank you Brian for your review! We are working very hard on UI/UX updates to The Wild so please stay tuned for updates on changes that I think you will really like. :) Appreciate your insights on how you have been able to work better during COVID due to the nature of virtual meetings with your clients.

  ### 18. Excellent XR tool for collaborative design review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild is not only an immersive VR tool, but also offers iOS-based "AR" experiences. Very few tools offer VR and AR experiences in the same solution set.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Would be helpful if there were more robust tools for analyzing 2D and 3D documents, including creating interactive sections, and more advanced model authoring functionality.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaborative, distributed design review, benefited most by having a shared experience and boosting confidence and understanding in design intent.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> So nice to hear from customers taking advantage of both VR and AR in their design review workflows. Thank you for posting!

  ### 19. Makes viewing space designs in VR delightfully accesible

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Integration with sketchup files + occulus headset makes it so seamless to work with

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Software feels a bit no frills at time, but that simplicity allows for clarity while working in the software.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting a more realistic point of view on how my space designs feel in person. Great to level-set with clients and get them excited about the work we're doing while its happening.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> We love hearing how our customers use The Wild to get an immersive view of their space, and articulate their designs with their clients. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

  ### 20. Great tool and even better service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild platform is easy to use and a great tool to give designers immediate feedback whether they are working with colleagues or presenting in front of a client. The customer service and availability of the team members allows me to ask questions with the expectation of a quick response.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

I am still learning the walking ability of The Wild. It works great when I am alone in a model, but it is difficult for some of my peers to follow as I share my screen.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The remote working has been a difficult obstacle for some of our design process. The Wild's ability to let us meet in a model and walk around while talking about issues is the next best thing to an in person meeting.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Thank you Luke! Great to see you here and thanks for the review. We are happy that your team has been able to leverage all sides of The Wild app, and that you can take advantage of walking a model remotely as a way to move your projects and initiatives forward. Thanks!

  ### 21. Amazing smooth communication for remote design studio class

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

We are using this service to communicate with student of architectural design studio course working online in the light of COVID-19. VR is remarkably intuitive to point out adequate scale and dimension of design with conversation. The greatest things of this service is synchronizing speed between remote locations. We can feel being at same space because of no latency of interaction with 3D objects.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The limit of data upload in month is not much to our use because we have a quit big deviation by period such as end of semester. We have to take a time for data optimization prior to use this service because It is critical to reduce number of polygon for smooth motion in VR as well. Hopefully some application of data optimization are included in the system.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To teach student of architecture under remote condition is a tough challenge especially in beginner class. The Wild is solving problems of time consuming of communication about 3D environment.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Thank you for sharing how things are going teaching remote; COVID brought a huge challenge in that regard. We appreciate hearing about the limitations in data upload and we would be happy to discuss that with you at any time (support@thewild.com). Glad you were able to bring students into the model and communicate in real time (remotely). Thanks for the review!

  ### 22. The Best WFH Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent M. | Designer 2, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Everything about The Wild is fantastic. Being able to see your space/model in a digital environment is amazing. The collaborating tools are a huge time saver.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

I wish there was more functionality with the desktop version of The Wild to really dial in the tiny adjustments to the assets.
A lot of times I have to align certain screens to objects in the space.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting feedback on space, fixtures and interactions. Huge benefit of The Wild is being able to share scenes with other stakholders.

  ### 23. Using the wild for design reviews of BIM models

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John R. | Enterprise Architect, Technology Strategist - R&D Hololens Product Owner -Kiewit Innovation Team, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Ease of use , ability to review and interact with a model at scale and at full scales to review with clients

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Certain knowledge of CAD is required to get started

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to review BIM models with people at different locations

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Thank you for your review, John! Excited how The Wild has been useful at Kiewit with your ability to review BIM models from anywhere.

  ### 24. New world of possibilities for our Sales and Design teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

I like that I can meet with our team inside our model or an architect's model. It brings the process to you in an interactive way that I never expected in our industry. I also like that, now that everyone is temporarily working remotely, we are able to design a space where we can be virtually face to face - and it's fun to design a space unlike any office we've been in. I like that we can add animated video elements to these spaces - there's nice potential for the wow factor with clients.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

I haven't found anything that I dislike yet!

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're still new to The Wild, but I think being able to walk around inside the model to see where are all the transitions and potential costly areas in the design occur is great. We can see it on a desktop - sure. But being immersed in it really brings it to life. I think the design team is going to love it! The ease of being able to step into a space and walk around is a very easy way to access to a Revit model. Being able to make notes about design and take measurements is cool!

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Amy, it is great to hear your thoughts here on G2! Excellent points on being able to collaborate inside a space right from your Revit model, and annotate as you go. Thanks!

  ### 25. A fantastic group VR platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aubrey T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

I genuinely loved the avitars the best... they're design is not distracting but at the same time fascinating. A very honest depiction of people that makes the entire Wild experience really into its own aesthetic. The graphics are also particularly good with all of the different import methodologies that can be used. The tool system user interface was also a very nice approach, incorporating many standardized tools used by other major VR experiences into one unique set of tools for collaboration.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The only thing I disliked was the limit of participants. I could see wanting to host large meetings to review design with many stake holders that would be great if we could have 50 or 100 participants.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Working with the texture embedded FBX format is the best way I've found to bring content directly into the Wild. Exporting direct from Rhino left coordinate issues but exporting into 3DSMax for texture embedding seemed to fix that.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far my main problem has been describing depth and scale to clients. In architecture design this is often lost in 2D drawings (even if they are depicting a 3d model).

  ### 26. The best thing, since sliced Bread.. Really.. this is a true game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick K. | Senior Technical Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

One of the most powerful features is the ability to use "LIVE" published models using Autodesk's BIM 360 Design. I don't have to worry about how to share my model with others, or wondering if I am using the latest model. The Wild's connection into my mainstream workflow makes it an easy part of my daily routines.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The only one negative is, when "zooming" from location to location I tend to get VR motion sick just a little. I think if you change it so that you can blur around the periphery it will reduce this effect.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Find some method to easily creating an exported "baked" rendering.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems I am solving is the ability to easily bring multiple stakeholders into the VR environment to make decisions based on how it feels from a "real" first person view.
* Meeting others at the same time in a space, is the next step in the way we think of conference calls.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> Rick, we always love hearing from you! I hope you will come test drive The Wild again soon, we've made a lot of substantial improvements to our Oculus Quest app which should alleviate some of that motion sickness you were feeling. Happy you have loved our integration with BIM360.

  ### 27. Unique and Powerful Collaboration Tool in VR

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The full immersion and intuitive tools make it easier to pick up and more expressive than other AR/VR collaboration tools I have tried. It is relatively quick to draw out diagrams and describe concepts using the drawing and grouping tools.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Managing space state has been an issue for us. There is no distinction between terrain and objects, so it is possible to resize or move the floor or ground. It would be nice to be able to reset the space to a registered state as well as lock certain items more easily. I would also like to see more collaborative tools integrated into it if possible, such as virtual white boards and flow charts.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Definitely give it a shot if you need an immersive visualization / collaboration tool.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have only evaluated The Wild as a collaborative tool, but it seems promising for planning physical spaces and for 3D object visualization.

**Official Response from Clay Walsh:**

> We appreciate your feedback here on G2! We appreciate your thoughts on what you'd like to see in The Wild going forward re: collaboration...definitely on our radar and point taken. See you in The Wild soon.

  ### 28. Best app for VR professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil Z. | Futurist & Visionär, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

First it has a really awesome user interface providing a great user experience in VR. I use a lot of other VR apps on a daily basis, most of them have great coding but awkward UI's, you just get in there to get your work done. But The Wild is different, the best time of my day is when I get into The Wild to work with my team mates and to present our work to customers. We have so much fun while getting things done. This is exactly what I'm expecting from working in VR in the future. I'm a futurist & visionary, spending all of my free time in space sims just to get a blink to the future and The Wild provides a really good feeling what the future of work will look like. Creating your own spaces with your 3D models, pictures and video files together with your team mates, no matter where they are and what device they are using (desktop, iPad, Oculus Quest,...) is the most rewarding experience you can have at work. Our customers are excited and they can feel the passion we put into our projects. The Wild is the perfect tool for us. On top there is fantastic customer support we get from Nick. Always helping, always providing new features, always kind and interested in our projects. 10/10.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

So far we didn't find anything to dislike

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We visualize complex Smart Home / Smart Business Solutions and Scenarios for our customers in our Virtual Reality Showroom to groups of up to 10 people on the Oculus Quest. The limitations of the Quest are really strong but with The Wild we realized good graphical presentation without motion sickness issues, easy to use interface and real multi-player. Happy customers, fast prototyping and good sales revenues combined with passion to create and inspire. We love it!

  ### 29. Great Product and Great Team...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markee F. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

I am a "Super Fan" of The Wild.

For anyone in a design, AEC, or digital asset focused business, The Wild is a great tool for you.

The ability to see, share, critique your designs while collaborating with others (coworkers or customers) in VR is a game changer. The Wild works all-in-one VR headsets, making rolling it out remotely all the easier.

For businesses using remote tools like Zoom, Slack, and Teams while working from home...add The Wild to your tool kit, you will not be sorry.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

As of yet, there is nothing negative I've seen with The Wild.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Give it a try, it's worth your time.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with customers who are deploying XR (virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality) solutions, and showing them the business value associated with XR based collaboration.

Benefits realized: Cost savings, time savings, team collaboration, and remote execution

Industries that could benefit from The Wild: Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), Design, Education

  ### 30. With the Wild XR, VR is now a usable collaborative design tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | Associate, Audio Visual/Technology Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

With the Wild we can remotely collaborate with our clients and partners and conceptualize our designs within the model itself. We can make on the fly changes in the model and get feedback in realtime. We can even set up a virtual conference in our future conference room before it has been built!

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

No dislikes but a nice to have. It would be nice to have a way to document changes and that log of changes shows up in the BIM360 model. Not changing the model but merely updating a changes list of some kind.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Reach out to Nick and Gabe. They will hold your hand every step of the way.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating and visualizing changes that we want to make to our model. Reviewing accessability , sitelines, and user experience of space in a way that is not possible in Bluebeam.

  ### 31. Wild about The Wild

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garth K. | Senior Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

To put it simply, it's mindblowing to be able to walk around inside of our work, at scale. We've been using Sketchup for years, designing architectural environments and custom fabricated items for our clients. Bringing our brand team into the 3D space to experience and develop their work is only just beginning to reveal what the future holds.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The only time The Wild hasn't worked for us is when our models are too big. One larger issue with VR in general is the physical discomfort (seasickness) that some folks experience.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

The Wild provides an opportunity to designers that hasn't existed before. Words don't do it justice–it's a consciousness-shifting experience.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our main goals is to choreograph the narrative unfolding of how people experience the branded environment. This is especially true for large scale projects with multiple smaller environments that all communicate different parts of a larger experience. Hotels are a good example.

  ### 32. The tool you need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

It's really easy to use, you don't need to ve a developer or a 3D expert to interact with the platform.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Materials are always a big challenge in any 3D platform. I don't like the way I visualize REVIT materials are they are very limited. I would also like to change materials of all 3 D shapes in the VR space, not only the ones I created in The Wild.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm reducing interpretation and during times of travel restrictions, this tool is really powerful to iterate and make decisions.

  ### 33. Excellent collaboration features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua C. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The ability to gather many collaborators is not something I've seen on other platforms. Participants can be in the same or completely different locations. All that's needed is a VR headset and an internet connection. It works really well! I also appreciate the responsiveness of the sales and customer support team as we were getting up to speed with how to use the software.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

The subscription fee is likely too high for infrequent users. We actually aren't using it a ton... yet. However, I expect as more clients see what is possible we will get a lot more requests to conduct meetings in The Wild.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Get a demo. It makes a difference to see your own content in The Wild and really get a feel for what is possible.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We already use screen sharing conference calls extensively to collaborate with clients when reviewing 3d models. The Wild gives us a new option to go well beyond what is possible with a flat screen.

  ### 34. Amazing software that is improving projects from initial concept development to client sign off.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul R. | Head Of Digital, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The regular catch up calls with Nick and The Wild team are fantastic opportunities to develop ideas and discuss possibilities.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

I haven't found anything I dislike about the Wild!

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Wild has enabled us to provide immersive experiences to our design teams and clients in ways that were previously impossible which allow us to ensure everyone has a shared vision of the project.

  ### 35. Amazing software and support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild's interface is very intuitive and allows rapid prototyping of complex concepts.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

There is nothing that I actively dislike about the Wild.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are bringing concepts to live with clients at very early stages in the project development cycle. This helps us ensure we are all focused on the same concept.

  ### 36. VR on a whole new level

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The ability to interact with people in VR

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Not being able to toggle the parametric options that are part of the Revit model

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Have fun!

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual platform for showcasing projects to clients

  ### 37. Democratizing urban planning and design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan B. | Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The Wild does what I always imagined VR should be able to do. But this is the first piece of software that's realized the potentials of VR for the kind of work I am involved in.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

PC doesn't feel as polished as the VR app.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

You really just need to try it out. Request a demo.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are experimenting with The Wild to open up the urban planning and design process to non-technical key stakeholders, decision-makers, and members of the public.

  ### 38. A solution that is hard to beat.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The speed and agility of the company to listen to the users of the software and include requested features in their updates.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

There are very few programs out there that I cannot think of at least one thing I do not like about them. While there are features I would like to still see implemented, in the past year the Wild has incorporated nearly every feature from my wish list. To see this type of response really makes a business owner comfortable sticking with and counting on the software for future projects.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

The wild is the best tool for the money that we could find. The ease of use is very nice. The features are sublime. But I would recommend taking it for a spin and giving 3-4 projects a look in the program. You certainly want to keep in mind material mapping and streamlined geometry if you are going to be viewing it in a headset.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We would have had to hire a series of programmers to accomplish what we can do with the Wild. We considered it and even looked into this as a solution. With the wild we purchased the software license and have been very happy to have our feedback considered and implemented. We now have a robust program that accomplishes our goals of multi-user VR interaction without the need for costly back end development and support.

  ### 39. Great Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

We can seamlessly move a SketchUp model into the VR space and join from multiple locations in the model.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Some of the UI is not intuitive and I can't bring other users between models.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can meet our clients in their projects and explore ideas and options together.

  ### 40. Help your teams collaborate in real-time in the digital world

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Interactive experience and toolset. Fun.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Take awhile to learn. Takes some orientation.

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

Get in early and help develop the platform for your specific needs. It’s an excellent collaboration tool that allows you to do so much with in a given work space.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with teams on complex problems that require quick solutions.

  ### 41. The Wild is one of the most incredible and valuable tools in my tool set.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl F. | Director Of User Experience, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

The ability to real-time collaborate on design problems within shared space is profound and indispensable in our work.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

It's a new software business that uses rapidly changing technology in a rapidly changing industry and that means that there are no guarantees that it will always work the way it does. So far so good.

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We currently use The Wild to solve information control and communication challenges within physical spaces.

  ### 42. Using The Wild for a virtual office

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad W. | Co-Founder & VP of Product + Operations, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

We use The Wild as a virtual office for our distributed team. It's an incredible tool. The fact that we can collaborate and leave a persistent environment for future meetings is invaluable.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

I wish The Wild was more optimized for virtual offices (remote screens, dynamic live views, import docs).

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaborative distributed teams. The collaboration ability of the tool is simply unmatched, it's the best in the market.

  ### 43. Sketchup and Skype had a baby

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2019

**What do you like best about The Wild?**

Really well designed, and I love how you can have multiple clients experience 3D models together from multiple geographical locations. Love having a desktop option so not everyone has to be in a headset.

**What do you dislike about The Wild?**

Would love more design tools inside virtual reality

**Recommendations to others considering The Wild:**

The way working with models in VR should be done, collaboration platforms take note!

**What problems is The Wild solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Investigating models with clients. Using the ability to gauge depth and scale in virtual reality to sell in ideas.
