That Clean Life is easy to use to create origional or pre populated meal plans. They can support you with pre designed plans to meet specific dietary preferences or goals. When downloaded to pdf the meals plans look good, they are visually appealing and easy to read. Also excellent for recipe book creation. If you're looking for meal plans TCL is an excellent option. That's not really a limitation as it does it well. My only complaint is with the cost of the upper tiers of Practice Better I don't want to pay for the additional fee for just meal planning and recipes. I love being able to filter out recipes for my clients based on both preferences and nutrition. I can adjust ingredients, like swapping non fat Greek yogurt for sour cream or coconut yogurt to adjust the nutrition myself. I also like that there are both simple recipes for people who do not have expansive palates and foodie foods for people like me! I've tried many recipes and they are all delicious! Also, I can always reach out with a very prompt response if I have any questions and they even take my suggestions! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about That Clean Life? As a bariatric dietitian, we frequently recommend a very low calorie diet, especially soon after their procedure. The lowest meal plan calorie allotment is 1200 calories. I usually take that and adjust, but it does take time. I would also like to be able to make more variety in portion sizes on meal plans. Making meal plans is time consuming and very difficult to customize for each client. Now, we can easily choose preferences, eliminate allergens or intolerances, etc. Instead of a standard meal plan to use for everyone, we now have customized, culture appropriate plans. It is appreciated by our clients as they feel more like a person and not just another patient. I also think when I give patients a recipe that challenges them a bit (someone has never tried salmon) that they tend to expand their tastes and try new things! I like the quality, variety and look of the recipes. I like that there is an option to make a meal plan based off of someone's calorie, macronutrient needs and type of dietary preferences/needs (ex: celiac). I also like that you can filter recipes based on calorie/macronutrient needs for the meal. I like that it generates a grocery list and lists recipes out one by one. I don't like that you can't add basic food ingredients such as; tortilla chips, pretzels, an egg, cheese stick, etc. I also don't like that when putting in recipes/ingredients there is no option to add a picture from the software - you have to go find/upload your own photo. I needed an easy way to make beautiful meal plans with yummy food for my clients - and That Clean Life does exactly that! I also appreciate that I can customize it to my own brand. I love the extensive and ever growing recipe database and appreciate that That Clean Life is always adding new recipes! Even better ...I can create my own recipes or take a recipe and alter it to meet my/my client's personal needs. If a recipe uses almond milk but I'm trying to increase calories or fats in one's diet, I can easily alter that recipe to have whole cows milk instead. I also appreciate that I can ask or leave comments on a recipe so that as I make recipe changes or inquire about changes I can get feedback from others on what has worked or not.
