# Which app monetization platforms integrate directly with Google Ad Manager for centralised control?

If you're already using GAM as your primary ad server, adding a second tool that doesn't talk to it cleanly just creates reconciliation work. Looking at app monetization platforms that either integrate natively with GAM or work alongside it without needing a completely separate setup.

Google Ad Manager: The obvious anchor for anyone in the Google ecosystem. Reviewers consistently mention the integration with Google Ads and Analytics as one of its biggest strengths, with campaign data flowing between tools without extra configuration. Managing direct deals, programmatic demand, and multiple formats from one place is the core pitch. Complexity is real, especially at scale.

Appodeal: Includes a built-in ad server for cross-promotions and direct deals, and reviewers describe it slotting into broader stacks alongside GAM. The 70+ demand source connections mean publishers aren't relying on GAM alone for fill. One reviewer mentioned using it alongside AdMob and other networks in a coordinated setup.

MAX by AppLovin: Routes demand through multiple networks including Google demand, and reviewers from game companies note it supports both waterfall and in-app bidding, which can complement a GAM setup for mobile inventory. Has anyone run MAX alongside GAM without duplicating reporting overhead?

Unity Ads: Fits into waterfall stacks that include Google networks according to reviewers in more complex mediation setups. Fill rates in Tier-1 markets are strong. eCPMs outside the US and Europe are a noted weakness.

If Appodeal reduces a demand source's bid without telling GAM, your GAM dashboard still shows the old configuration while revenue tells a different story. Ask vendors explicitly: when a mediation partner makes a programmatic decision, does that decision flow back into GAM reporting, or does it only appear in the mediation tool?

Keeping Google Ad Manager as the single reporting source of truth is the approach that's worked best for us, even when a second demand source is in the mix. It means the team is reconciling one dashboard against itself rather than trying to merge two systems that were never meant to agree perfectly.

### Comment 3

I’d prioritize keeping GAM as the reporting source of truth rather than trying to reconcile two equally important dashboards. For any additional monetization platform, the real test would be whether impressions, revenue, and demand-source performance can flow back into that central view cleanly enough that the team isn’t rebuilding reports manually.

### Comment 4

Google Ad Manager is still the cleanest option for centralized control, but once you add Appodeal or MAX, some reporting drift is almost unavoidable because each platform applies its own attribution and revenue timing. Appodeal may be easier for broad demand access, but I’d still treat GAM as the source of truth and reconcile the mediation dashboard separately.
