Cannot split test cases for a test run when you have 2 or more testers

  ### 2. TestMonitor is the Perfect User Acceptance Testing Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about TestMonitor?**

- Simplicity
- Accountability for testers and developers
- Brilliant dashboards for executives
- Importing features to easily develop large test suites
- Rapid, responsive customer support

**What do you dislike about TestMonitor?**

It would be nice to be able to assign multiple individuals to the same test runs and cases in a way that doesn't require each individual to execute the test runs independently, but instead collaborate on the same test run.

**What problems is TestMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here at Iris we have 9 different software products that go through internal User Acceptance Testing for each release before being rolled out to our clients. Before TestMonitor, at best we tracked test cases in spreadsheets that were passed around via email, and at worst we relied on users going through test cases in their heads and randomly checking the product. Now with TestMonitor, we have fully defined Test Runs with hundreds (sometimes thousands) of Test Cases that are assigned to the UAT team members who can purposefully go through each one, giving it a pass/fail grade and (if failed) create issues that are immediately turned into Jira tickets (via the Atlassian integration) and assigned to the Development team. They, in turn, can resolve the issue and send the test cases back to retest, which alerts the tester via Teams and email that the issue is fixed and they can retest (and hopefully pass) the test case. It provides accountability for all the testers and developers, and a series of beautiful dashboards that our executive team can get a quick look at progress on the Test Runs and a snapshot of the issue resolution progress. It gives us a series of test suites for all of our products that can be called upon again and again as we roll out new releases and new features.

While TestMintor offers a wide array of features, the initial learning curve is steep. I would recommend TestMonitor make their tutorials more hands-on and that they publish a SOP to how users can maximize the benifits out of the tool. While I don't suggest a 'One size fits all' approach, eastblishing guidelines on the best ways to use the tool would help.

We have a wide array of testing strategies that we follow ranging from unit tests to integration and load tests. We are using the tool as a manual approval workflow prior to launch features and carrying out deployments.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about TestMonitor?**

We've used TestMonitor within a wide range of use. Implemented enterprise software, co-produced new apps and testing new releases of existing software.

For me as administrator I can choose a wide range of options how to set up my tests. And for my testers TestMonitor is super user-friendly. Without testing experience they become user acceptance testers within the hour!

**What do you dislike about TestMonitor?**

The wide range of options to set-up, run en analyze your tests, although user friendly, can be overwhelming. Happily, the help function is very helpful. It leads you step by step. When you can’t find what you seek, TestMonitor support is always stand-by.

**Recommendations to others considering TestMonitor:**

Just start with a free trial, it will promote itself when using it.

**What problems is TestMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestMonitor helps me to structure integral testing. It gives me as test manager/admin overview when 20+ persons are testing. That’s gives me extra time to focus on problems during testing, whether to be busy with the ‘paperwork’.

  ### 10. TestMonitor: an intuitive approach to testing!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Massimiliano G. | Art Director & Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2019

**What do you like best about TestMonitor?**

TestMonitor is an easy and intuitive web application for UAT and Agile Development. TestMonitor allows you to create and execute test runs. The tester offers a personalized overview of the tests performed. TestMonitor is excellent both for a few cases and for a large number of test cases, always maintaining excellent performance.
TestMonitor allows you to integrate your account with other great Web Applications for UAT and Agile Development such as Jira (Atlassian), Asana, Slack, DevOps (Microsoft Azure) and TopDesk.
TestMonitor records in your account all the activities that you perform and this can be very useful when there is more than one administrator or when you resume the tests after a long time and you have to remember at what point it remained.

**What do you dislike about TestMonitor?**

Although I found the software simple and intuitive, many find it a bit difficult to start with basic knowledge but later they are able to progress through the project. More templates are missing to quickly create tests and you need to create your own inputs / scenarios.
TestMonitor, even if you are integrating with other tools like Asana, Slack, Jira, TopDesk and DevOps, they are still too few.
The system does not support automatic process testing.

**Recommendations to others considering TestMonitor:**

If you need to create structured tests in a simple and intuitive way then TestMonitor is the right tool! With TestMonitor you create and plan your tests, monitoring developments, comments, error messages and getting all the information about the quality of the software you are developing.

Easy handling for app-testing. This software is available as a free trail so you can see the functions in an demo version. App testing is getting very easy - the menu bar in the pc-version and also on the app is great.

**What do you dislike about TestMonitor?**

Creating new users or costumers with the app could be easier and there is a potencial to improve.
The app-side movement is totally different and the functions are still not the same, so generally it's just a web-based app but many functions and possibilities to create are missing in this version.
