**What do you like best about Testlify?**

I used Testlify, Hireflix, and TestGorilla while applying for jobs. Here's how they compare.

Testlify wins on ease of use. The interface is clean. You know where to go next. Instructions are clear. I finished the tests faster because I didn't waste time figuring out how the platform works.

Hireflix frustrated me. The video recording setup took too long. The timer started before I was ready twice. The interface felt clunky. I spent more time fighting the platform than focusing on my answers.

TestGorilla sits in the middle. The dashboard is organized. Tests load fast. But the question navigation is confusing. Going back to review answers takes too many clicks. Some test types work better than others.

Testlify keeps things simple. Start test. Answer questions. Submit. Done. No technical headaches. No confusion about what comes next.


For time-pressed applicants, Testlify respects your time. You log in, complete what you need, and move on. The other two make you work harder than necessary.

If companies want good applicants to finish their assessments, they should pick Testlify. I finished those tests. I gave up halfway through some Hireflix ones.

Limited feedback. No sense of how I did. No practice mode. You go directly to the test. the platform looks dated.

As a recruiter, Testlify cuts screening time. Filters out unqualified applicants early. Saces interview ours. speed up high-volume hiring. You move faster and hire better

Three points to address. A practice mode is on our radar. Richer post-test feedback for candidates depends partly on what the employer chooses to share, but we know there's room to do better there. The 'looks dated' note is the most actionable of the three, and a design refresh is mid-flight. Real appreciation for the time you put into this review.

**What do you like best about Testlify?**

I found Testlify to be a positive experience, particularly appreciating its user-friendly UI, which made navigation smooth and intuitive. The structured multiple-choice questions and realistic time constraints enhanced the evaluation process. The ability to flag questions for review was a beneficial feature for managing time and staying organized during assessments. The reminders for the time remaining, such as notifications a few minutes before timeout, were extremely helpful in maintaining awareness and preventing progress loss. Additionally, Testlify's simple UI was a significant factor in my team's decision to switch from Codility, highlighting the platform's ease of use. The initial setup was straightforward, involving simple steps that were easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Testlify?**

I find it challenging that the coding panel on Testlify cannot be minimized beyond 75%, which makes it difficult to read longer problem statements. It would be extremely helpful if there were options to collapse, resize, or float the coding window for easier reference to the full question text. Additionally, I am frustrated that error messages are not clearly visible when the code is executed. After clicking 'Run Code,' the output or error details should appear in a more prominent and readable section, since the current setup makes it easy to miss or overlook these error messages.

I find Testlify offers a smooth testing experience with well-structured questions and a user-friendly UI, enhancing my time management with flagging features and timely reminders.

I really liked that Testlify is very simple to use, the questions are clear, and the time to answer is adequate. Additionally, the ease of use is something I really appreciate. Also, the initial setup was not complicated at all, as the tool guides you step by step on what to do, which made it quite easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Testlify?**

I didn't like that when using Testlify, it took up the whole screen and I couldn't open another application to do calculations. I had to do the calculations on a calculator instead of the computer.

I used Testlify for a remote job interview, where I answered questions on video. It is very simple to use, with clear questions and adequate time to respond.

As a professional beta reader and content writer, what I particularly liked about Testlify is that it has cut down a lot of my time and provided some reliable skills to consider through getting ideas from their pre-set tests and interviews before I hire more niche people for my team, and it can also be curated based on my requirements. What I liked most about it is that it allowed my educational workspace identity to evaluate candidates, since I wanted to hire from my academic space, thus ensuring professionalism. Their personalised evaluation was a great help, as it gave a perspective on how to reduce bias and ensure fair options. Moreover, the features of Testlify were clear and direct. I needed to use their customer support, and they were prompt in their response. Indeed, it is user-friendly and reliable. Highly recommended!

As much as it helped me navigate the types of skills I can consider for hiring the candidates, some of the ready-made questions were not fully aligned with my niche work – beta reading is one of them; thus, I had to create my own, which took quite some time. When it comes to creative tasks, especially in literary fiction, it is slightly limited. Nothing major as of yet.

As a beta reader and reviewer, I need skills that can analyze manuscripts, not just from a technical approach, but also from a general reader's perspective, and Testlify helped me structure those requirements through pre-set questions, which can be further customized easily. Not to mention, the clear dashboard, which had all the information together of the candidates whom I will be hiring, made the whole experience stress-free.

I love the breaks between sections during the test on Testlify. After completing each section, I can pause, relax, and gather my thoughts before moving on, preventing exhaustion over long durations. This break system is incredibly helpful, especially during the ninety-minute test assessments I took, where the section breaks allowed me to refresh myself and maintain peak performance throughout the test. Additionally, Testlify allows me to submit answers and navigate backward or forward through questions fluidly, which makes it flexible for reviewing my responses. Another aspect I appreciate is how Testlify doesn't interfere with browser extensions, viewing them as mere screen icons unless I attempt to access them. This ensures a smooth experience without unnecessary distractions or system slowdowns. The platform's adjustability is also commendable; it lets me maximize or minimize the display without issues around window ratios. Logging in is also straightforward and fuss-free, needing only an email and password, making the setup process extraordinarily easy. Overall, the user-friendly design, paired with these functional features, greatly enhances my test-taking experience.

I think everything was good, but it would be better if there was a system where I can have a separate panel of questions. This panel would show me how many questions I have completed, how many are marked for review, and how many are yet to be attempted. Having all questions visible on the right-hand side of a particular section—those I've answered, marked for review, and not attempted—would be a beneficial feature.

The option to listen to the audio of the questions provides clarity in answering assessment questions, and I find that very helpful.

I wasn't able to review or revise the questions I already answered. Once I completed the assessment with the time boundary, I couldn't go back to review, which is a drawback for me. I felt a bit ahead in answering, but it was frustrating not being able to review my answers.

I love how Testlify provides an incredibly smooth environment for online testing. It's really nice to conduct assessments on such a great platform. I also appreciate the way Testlify prepares questions. They are crafted in a very good and understandable manner, making them easy to navigate during tests. This preparation is crucial and adds real value to the platform as it helps in smoothly proceeding through the questions and relevant answers. Additionally, the initial setup of Testlify is really smooth and very informative. It was easy to understand, making the entire process seamless and straightforward. On top of that, I am highly likely to refer my friends and colleagues to use Testlify, indicating my trust and satisfaction with the platform. I would rate it eight out of ten.

I need more explanation in terms of the questions where I need to put my text instead of just selecting options. I feel there's a lack of clarification about what I should type in the text box. While it's not extremely tough to understand, it's an area that could be improved.

It would be helpful to have a sample test question before starting the official test to familiarize oneself with the layout and timing of the test. I was only provided with written instructions, but they didn't describe the final experience in a truly meaningful way. A visual was needed to understand where the timer was, understanding that one can't return to previous questions, etc. Additionally, it is frustrating that one has to make an account for a one-time experience. It gets exhausting having thousands of accounts out there.

I found the sound warning a little annoying because it was triggered by noise in the next room, even though noise isn't really allowed. Also, the setup was a bit confusing when it came to the ID part; having an example before taking the picture, like a drawing, would have been great.

It has AI-generated assessments based on job descriptions, so I can create coding tests for Shopify developers or soft skill tests for customer service or data entry teams. The interface is clean, fast, beginner-friendly, and easy to navigate. I also love the video and voice response scoring. That's a good point for choosing the right candidate

As an e-commerce developer, I wish there were more pre-made templates specifically for e-commerce roles. For example, Shopify Liquid, a WordPress-like thing. I can build these manually now, but dedicated library would make the process faster and smoother.
