"Unified Attack Surface Visibility with Risk-Based Prioritization in Tenable One"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Tenable One Exposure Management Platform?

The Tenable One Exposure Management Platform gives security teams unified visibility across their entire attack surface, including IT infrastructure, cloud assets, identities, and web apps.

Rather than simply listing isolated vulnerabilities, it maps complex attack paths to pinpoint the key leverage points (choke points) an attacker could exploit. By turning detailed technical data into clear business risk scores (AES) and applying ExposureAI for threat-driven prioritization, Tenable One helps teams cut through the noise, focus remediation on what matters most, and proactively reduce overall cyber exposure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable One Exposure Management Platform?

Fragmented interface: After merging acquired products (IT, AD, Cloud), the workflow and navigation can feel clunky as you move between older and newer screens.

Alert fatigue: The sheer volume of ingested data can quickly overwhelm smaller security teams unless there’s significant upfront fine-tuning.

Rigid reporting: Creating custom reports—whether executive-level summaries or more granular compliance views—still feels unexpectedly limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tenable One Exposure Management Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

Siloed Dashboards: Brings IT, Cloud, Identity (Active Directory), and Web Apps together in a single view, helping eliminate blind spots.

Alert Fatigue: Goes beyond raw CVSS scores by correlating real threat intelligence, so you can cut through the noise.

Saves Time: Reduces the need for manual data correlation across multiple tools.

Focuses Effort: Helps direct limited staffing toward the small percentage of vulnerabilities that are actively being exploited.

Proactive Security: Shifts the team from reactive patching to threat-informed risk reduction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Unified Data Access"

4/5

What do you like best about Tenable One Exposure Management Platform?

I like that Tenable One Exposure Management Platform unifies data from all Tenable products under one comprehensive solution. This allows me to query data from different products without having to switch between various product stacks, which saves me a lot of time as a security engineer. It's quite easy to create scans, and the platform is user-friendly, making navigation straightforward. The use of tags is great for fine-tuning inquiries and reporting data. There's a multitude of scans available, including AI and LLM vulnerability scans and tactical scans, which is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable One Exposure Management Platform?

I'd say the main thing I've noticed is the dashboard creation. When I compare the exposure management dashboard and widget creation to the vulnerability management dashboard, I think it's night and day. I think vulnerability management dashboard creation is a lot easier to do. It's a lot clearer on the workflow. I would suggest changing the exposure manager dashboard creation wizard so that it mimics the vulnerability management one. I think there's quite a lot of information on the screen in exposure management, so cutting off some of the fat and making it a bit easier on the eye would help a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tenable One Exposure Management Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

I find Tenable One Exposure Management Platform easy to use for running scans and navigation. The use of tags refines reports, and it supports various scans beyond vulnerabilities. It unifies data, saving time by eliminating the need to switch between different products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Exposure Management with Actionable Risk Insights"

5/5

What do you like best about Tenable One Exposure Management Platform?

What I like best about Tenable One is its ability to provide a single platform for managing cyber exposure across assets, vulnerabilities, identities, cloud resources, and attack paths. In my day-to-day work, I use the Asset Inventory, Exposure View, risk-based dashboards, and reporting capabilities to identify high-risk assets and prioritize remediation activities. Having everything centralized significantly reduces the time spent correlating data from multiple security tools.

The risk-based prioritization capabilities are particularly valuable. Instead of focusing only on CVSS scores, Tenable One provides additional context such as asset criticality, exposure relationships, and attack path analysis, allowing our team to focus on the findings that present the greatest business risk. This has improved our vulnerability management process and helped us make more informed remediation decisions.

From a UI and UX perspective, the dashboards are intuitive and make it easy to move between assets, exposures, vulnerabilities, and remediation workflows. The visual reporting helps communicate security posture and remediation progress to both technical teams and management stakeholders without requiring extensive manual analysis.

The platform also provides strong integration capabilities with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft Sentinel, and Splunk. These integrations streamline remediation tracking, ticket management, and security operations workflows, helping security and operations teams collaborate more effectively.

Performance has been consistently reliable even when reviewing large numbers of assets and findings. Search, filtering, and reporting functions allow us to quickly identify priority issues and track remediation progress over time.

Another area I appreciate is the intelligence built into the platform. The exposure-focused approach, attack path visibility, and contextual risk insights help reduce alert fatigue and improve decision-making. Rather than reviewing thousands of findings individually, we can focus on the exposures most likely to impact the organization.

From an ROI perspective, Tenable One has reduced the effort required to manually analyze vulnerability data, improved remediation prioritization, and provided a clearer view of overall risk. The onboarding process was straightforward, and the available documentation and support resources helped us become productive quickly.

Overall, Tenable One provides comprehensive exposure management, strong risk prioritization, actionable intelligence, useful integrations, and effective reporting capabilities that help improve security operations and reduce organizational risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable One Exposure Management Platform?

While Tenable One provides strong visibility and risk prioritization capabilities, there are a few areas that could be improved. The biggest challenge is the learning curve for new users. Because the platform combines asset inventory, exposure management, attack path analysis, vulnerability data, cloud security insights, and reporting into a single interface, it can take time for users to fully understand the relationships between different views, risk scores, and workflows.

From a UI and UX perspective, most daily functions are easy to access, but some advanced investigations require navigating through multiple dashboards and filters before reaching the desired information. Simplifying these workflows and providing more guided analysis options would improve efficiency for security teams.

The reporting functionality is useful, but I would like to see more flexibility and customization options. Creating highly tailored reports for different audiences, such as technical teams, management, and compliance stakeholders, sometimes requires additional effort. More granular dashboard customization and reporting templates would be beneficial.

The integrations with ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft Sentinel, and Splunk are valuable, but additional customization of workflow automation and data mapping would provide greater flexibility for organizations with mature security operations processes.

From a performance perspective, the platform generally performs well, but large-scale environments with significant amounts of exposure and asset data can occasionally require additional filtering and analysis before meaningful insights are obtained.

The AI-driven prioritization and exposure intelligence are useful for reducing noise and identifying high-risk issues, but there are times when additional manual validation is required to account for business context and operational priorities. More explainability around why certain exposures receive higher prioritization scores would help increase confidence in automated recommendations.

Regarding onboarding, the documentation and available resources are helpful, but additional guided workflows and advanced training material would accelerate adoption for new users. Pricing can also be a consideration for smaller organizations, especially when evaluating exposure management capabilities beyond traditional vulnerability management.

Overall, these are opportunities for improvement rather than major limitations. Tenable One delivers significant value for exposure management, risk prioritization, and visibility, but enhancements in usability, reporting flexibility, workflow customization, AI transparency, and onboarding would make the platform even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tenable One Exposure Management Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Tenable One, one of our biggest challenges was dealing with fragmented security visibility. Vulnerability data, asset information, cloud security findings, and remediation activities were often spread across multiple tools, making it difficult to understand which issues posed the greatest risk to the organization. Security teams spent significant time manually correlating findings and determining remediation priorities.

Tenable One helps solve this problem by providing a centralized platform that combines asset inventory, vulnerability management, exposure analysis, attack path visibility, and risk-based prioritization. Instead of reviewing thousands of findings individually, we can focus on the exposures that present the highest risk based on context, asset criticality, and potential business impact.

The platform has significantly improved our vulnerability management workflow. We regularly use the exposure dashboards, asset views, and reporting features to identify high-risk assets, prioritize remediation activities, and track progress over time. This has reduced the effort required for manual analysis and improved the efficiency of remediation planning.

Another important benefit is the improved visibility across the entire attack surface. The ability to correlate vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, identity-related risks, and attack path information provides valuable context that was difficult to obtain using traditional vulnerability management approaches alone. This helps us make better-informed security decisions and focus resources more effectively.

The integrations with ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft Sentinel, and Splunk have further improved operational efficiency by allowing findings to flow directly into remediation and security operations processes. This has strengthened collaboration between security, infrastructure, and operations teams and improved accountability for remediation activities.

From a business perspective, Tenable One has helped us reduce investigation time, improve remediation prioritization, increase visibility into organizational risk, and provide more meaningful reporting to stakeholders. As a result, we are able to focus on reducing cyber exposure rather than spending time manually consolidating and analyzing security data from multiple sources.
