## Telerik DevCraft Reviews
  ### 1. First-Rate UI Components and Seamless Visual Studio Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Telerik DevCraft?**

I use Devcraft Complete. From that suite, over the years I have used the components for ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Kendo UI for jQuery and Telerik reporting. The look and feel of the components is first rate. Most stuff is customisable exactly the way you want it. This doesn't take all that much time too. Over the years, using Telerik components has saved me a lot of time because they provide so many features out of the box. I use Telerik from within Visual Studio in all of the platforms that I've mentioned. The integration is first rate and simple to set up. Performance wise, I'm very satisfied with the UI component, less so with the Reporting components. . Pricewise, I think the price WAS okay over the years but now Progress is beginning to get greedy. Support has definitely improved over the years; initially there was so much material on the forums and most of it irrelevant to what you wanted because of its age. I've been using Telerik for 12 years now and I feel they have done a good job in this area; it is much better now. I would have loved to try their AI feature, but I can't. They allow these features only in the subscription version, even though their Devcraft customers (Perpetual) pay a lot

**What do you dislike about Telerik DevCraft?**

1) The support. Their people support is first rate. I have always got an answer within 24 hours when I'm totally stuck. But, before asking anyone, I prefer solving the problem myself. And this is where Telerik is deficient. There is a lot of material and a lot of it isn't relevant to the version of the product that you re using. Sometimes, when you need to do things in a different way from the Telerik approved way e.g. you are on a Linux based web app plan and you need to get Telerik Reporting to work, then you're out of luck
2) The pricing. I felt it was fair in the past. Now, I feel ripped off. I pay for Devcraft Complete; have paid for it for multiple team members for the last 11 years and we don't get the AI features? We need to switch to Devcraft Complete subscription model instead of Perpetual model even though we renew every year? Come on Progress! Don't get greedy or we'll just start looking at alternatives. If I wasn't already late on a project, I would have looked at alternatives this year itself
3) The bugs. We always stay one step behind their latest release. Because, it is always buggy. Don't get me wrong; most stuff works. However it often seems to be our bad luck that the very feature we use most often has a bug. This is now a company policy for several year; so I'm not sure whether in recent years Telerik has improved. Judging from the release notes; I'd say no

**What problems is Telerik DevCraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide components that dramatically reduced the time taken to create our solutions
Their reporting solution makes generating reports so much easier than trying to do it on your own with Excel or HTML
