What problems is itamlink solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I realized my company would benefit from Property Tax software, I researched and interviewed the long-term and leading candidates. Still, I wanted to take one last look at ITAM before committing. I was impressed by the user-friendliness of the program and their team's focus on property tax and ability to integrate with almost any other software. They were responsive and understood our particular needs, and tailored the software to help us. At the same time, they alerted us to best practices in the industry which they helped us to adopt. After four years I can say unreservedly that we made the right choice.
Justifying the expense of specialty Property Tax software is not easy in a corporation? The most frequent discussions revolve around tax saving, and yes, that is a valid measure, but in terms of cost, what is often forgotten is just how much it speeds and improves every area of the process. ITAM has provided us with much greater consistency and reliability without adding additional staff. As a result of corporate growth, we now have double the volume, and we comfortably handle it without having added a single head.
When I contemplated the use of ITAM, I did not wholly understand the robustness of the software nor conceive of its full benefits. In addition to payment processing and appeal tracking, we use it to forecast accurately and accrue our tax liability and to process our Personal Property payments. We have developed our own internal metrics in ITAM to highlight appeal opportunities and reveal anomalies. We have leveraged this software to benefit other business partners as well. Our Income Tax team, our Risk Department, our Incentives Team have all found the regular and special data we track and control invaluable.
The Pandemic and remote work environment was both the unexpected and the ultimate test of ITAM. Where our peer groups were unable to perform their functions, we neither missed a payment nor an appeal opportunity, and finance could count on our accrual feeds. The entire team worked from the comfort and safety of home, and it was as if nothing had ever happened.
