"Surfer’s SERP-Based Recommendations Make Content Optimization Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

The most helpful thing that i like about Surfer is that it helps me optimize my overall content quality. With the recommendations based on the current SERP, Keyword inclusion gaps, and competitor gaps compared to our written content, i can optimize my content. I have been using this tool regular for my content and it has been very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

I one thing that i dislike about Surfer is the no option to edit the keywords after creating a surfer link. At times, we miss out on the opportunity to include new or missed keywords. Having an option to add that will help improve the tool a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Practical Content Editor Recommendations That Speed Up SEO Writing"
5/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

I like how the Content Editor provides clear, practical recommendations as I write. It helps with keyword coverage, structure, headings, and overall content quality without requiring a separate manual analysis. Overall, it speeds up the optimization process and helps us produce more complete, search-focused content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

Some recommendations can feel too formulaic, especially when trying to reach the suggested content score. You still need to use your own judgment to avoid overusing keywords or making the content sound unnatural. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Integrations and Spot-On AI Suggestions for Better UX and SEO"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

It is easy to use and integrate with other writing tools like Grammarly, Word, Jasper, and other AI platforms. I learned a lot about UX and how to improve my webpages to attract SEO and AI search bots and optimize my content to be found and surfaced more often. The AI suggestions were spot-on and taught me where to place (or remove) keywords and how to improve the flow of my copy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

My company paid for my subscription, so I don't know about the pricing. Some of the suggestions were not to my liking and felt like keyword stuffing. I wish it could help create more unique pages, since after a few edits, the content started sounding generic and duplicative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SEO Made Simple and Effective"
5/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

I really like the Content Editor, which makes it much easier to organize and structure the content I'm working on. The auto-optimise feature is a great backup after I've manually optimized as much as possible. Even though it requires some tweaking, it helps push the content that final step further. The Content Editor helps me clearly see what's missing and how to improve the structure, ensuring I'm not over- or under-optimizing. The auto-optimise feature is useful for fine-tuning the content, saving time, while still giving me control to adjust things so it fits our brand and goals. The initial setup was pretty straightforward and quick, allowing us to start using it almost immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

The one thing I'd love to see improved is more flexibility around topping up the Content Editor usage. Even though we haven't fully explored every feature in our plan yet, the Content Editor is what we rely on most, so having the option to top that up would be really helpful. "Solid Auto Optimizer, Poor Customer Service"
0/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

I like the auto optimizer in Surfer. It's the only good thing they have going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

Their customer service is very, very bad. They can never get back to you to help you with any issues you may have. When they do get back, they are generic copy-and-paste solutions to which they do not respond. Their search volume information is very incorrect and almost always wrong. I do not recommend at all. Sometimes it can be a bit confused and rank your article very low because it doesn't get the concept of it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

Nothing major so far. I do think it could be a bit confusing for some people, since it took me a while to find the “notes” section, but other than that it’s been super easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Surfer’s NLP Content Optimization Takes the Guesswork Out of On-Page SEO"
5/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

The biggest advantage is Surfer’s NLP-driven content optimization and SERP-based recommendations. It removes guesswork from on-page SEO and helps writers, editors, and SEO teams stay aligned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

Pricing For beginners, there can be a short learning curve to fully understand how to use recommendations strategically rather than mechanically. Also, very competitive niches sometimes require additional manual SEO judgment beyond tool suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best AI Blog Post App"
5/5
What do you like best about Surfer?

I love the UX and the gamification, it makes the SEO process feel engaging instead of tedious. The interface is intuitive, and the scoring system motivates consistent improvement. It’s one of the few SEO tools that feels genuinely enjoyable to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

The pricing feels steep, especially for smaller teams or freelancers. Great product, but definitely on the $$$ side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
