Founded in London, UK in 2022, SURF Security is an endpoint protection Browser-SASE (secure access service edge) cybersecurity company that has created the world’s first enterprise zero-trust browser and extension with security at its core. These two products capitalise on the rise of both the working-from-home phenomenon, and ‘software as a service’ or SaaS platforms that are used through a browser. SURF secures the browser itself, either replacing or augmenting consumer browsers such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari. What I like best about Surf Security’s Enterprise Zero-Trust SASE Browser & Extension is its unique combination of robust security and user-centric design. It offers a seamless browsing experience without compromising security, which is crucial for our organization’s productivity. The Zero-Trust model ensures that every action within the browser is monitored and controlled, preventing unauthorized access and reducing the risk of data leaks or breaches.

Additionally, the ability to implement security policies on both managed and unmanaged devices through the SASE architecture has significantly improved our control over remote and BYOD environments. The browser's comprehensive visibility into user activities and granular controls for downloads, uploads, and plugin management provide peace of mind that our data is secure, even in high-risk situations. This tool is reliable, intuitive, and perfectly aligned with our organization’s security goals.

There’s not much to improve in the Surf Security Enterprise Zero-Trust SASE Browser & Extension, but if there’s one thing that could enhance the experience, it would be expanding the selection of ready-made configuration options. The platform is excellent and supports a wide range of needs, but adding more predefined templates or profiles tailored to specific industries and regulatory standards could make the initial setup even quicker and easier.

That said, it’s a solution that enables us to manage security in an advanced and convenient way, and the professional, responsive support team makes every configuration focused and efficient.

Surf Security’s Enterprise Zero-Trust SASE Browser & Extension is solving several critical issues for us, particularly in securing remote work and managing user access on both managed and unmanaged devices. By applying Zero-Trust principles directly within the browser, it ensures that every user action is verified and controlled, significantly reducing our exposure to phishing, data leakage, and other security threats.

Additionally, Surf’s centralized control over plugin management, file downloads, and data-sharing policies has streamlined compliance and audit readiness, especially in complex regulatory environments. Surf answered the main concerns about zero trust and enterprise security in the browser. We had doubts about changing all browsers in the company, but with Surf's extension, we could implement the solution in alignment with our business.

**What do you dislike about Surf Security Zero Trust Enterprise Browser?**

There is nothing that I can say that I dislike. I have a few features that I'd like them to add but in reality, they a tool that is designed to do a specific task and it is doing it very well.

It provides us a layer of governance and control that historically we were unable to get with a normal browser.

**What do you like best about Surf Security Zero Trust Enterprise Browser?**

Finally we are able to control access on a granular level to all our platforms. This includes giving access to third parties and auditors on a controlled and audited level.

**What do you dislike about Surf Security Zero Trust Enterprise Browser?**

Only downside is having to onboard the product as this takes planning and thought around what you want to achieve. But this is no different to any other new security tool you will be adopting.

**What problems is Surf Security Zero Trust Enterprise Browser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to control access to all platforms and systems on a granular level, including ones that have no security baked in. Being able to give controlled and time-based access to third parties with a full audit trail and granular control of what they can access, change, etc.
