You don't need separate tools for different platforms, and that alone saves a lot of time and headache. The remote management capabilities are genuinely impressive too. Being able to remotely lock, wipe, troubleshoot, or push configurations to device without physically touching it is something that makes a real difference, especially when devices are spread across multiple locations or being used in the field. It gives you that sense of control no matter where the devices are. I also really appreciate the Kiosk Mode Functionality. For buisnesses that need to lock down devices to specific apps or workflows like retail, logistics, or frontline workers SureMDM makes that really straightforward to set up and manage. It's one of those features that sounds niche but is incredibly valuable in the right use case. The policy and profile management is another strong point. It gets the job done, but it doesn't feel the most modern or intuitive compared to some other MDM solutions out there. Navigating through certain settings or trying to find a specific feature can feel like more clicks than it should be, and new users especially tend to need a fair amount of time just to get comfortable with the layout. The documentation and support resources could also be better. When you run into a specicifc issue or are trying to configure something more advanced, the available guides and knowledge base articles don't always go deep enough. You sometimes end up having to reach out to support directly for things that should honestly be answerable through self-service documentation. Support response times can be hit or miss too, For straightforward issues you usually get help reasonably quickly, but for anything more complex or technical, the back-and-forth can drag on longer than you'd want especially when you're trying to resolve something that's affecting a large number of devices. SureMDM is solving is the challenge of managing a large number of devices spread across different locations, platforms, and use cases without losing control or visibility. In any organisation where employees or field workers are using mobile devices, tablets, or rugged hardware, keeping everything secure, updated, and fuctionality properly is a massive operational challenge and that's exactly what SureMDM addresses. For me personally, The biggest benefit has been centralised control. Instead of having to physically handle each device for updates, configurations, or troubleshooting, everything can be done remotely from one console. That alone has cut down the time spent on device management significantly, especially when dealing with devices that are deployed across multiple sites or in the hands of field workers who aren't always easy to reach. Security and compliance is another area where it's made a real difference. Being able to enforce security policies, remotely wipe lost or stolen devices, and ensure that every endpoint is complaint with company standards gives a lot of peace of mind. Without a tool like this, a single lost device could become a serious secuirty risk with no quick way to respond. The Kiosk and lockdown capabilities have also been hugely beneficial for managing frontline or task specific devices. Locking devices down to only the apps and functions workers actually need reduces distractions, prevents misuse, and keeps things running smoothly in operational environments. So I work in IT and we handle one of the bigger product companies in India as our client. They have locations spread across the country - 106 to be exact - and every location has multiple devices. We're talking Android phones, iPhones, Windows laptops, Linux machines, smart TVs, IoT devices. It's a lot. What I genuinely like is the policy control. I sit in one place and I can push a policy that locks down every devices in all 206 locations. Users cannot install anything outside what we whitelist. They can't change settings. They can't do anything we haven't allowed. For a client this size, that king of controls is not optional - it's the whole point. The kiosk mode for Android something I use almost every week. We have devices at fixed workstations that should only run one or two apps. Kiosk handles that cleanly. No workarounds needed. Bulk enrollment saved us a huge amount of time during the initial deployment. When you're pushing setup across hundreds of devices, doing it one by one is not realistic. The 42 Gears support team also helped during rollout which made a difference. I also want to mention the remote access feature - being able to troubleshoot a device sitting in a branch 500km away without sending anyone there is something I use regularly and it works well. When you manage Android, iOS and Linux devices all together, figuring out how policies apply differently to each platform takes time. I made a few mistakes early on where a policy didn't apply the way I expected and I had to go back and fix it. Not a product failure, just learning curve that is steeper than I expected at the start. The reports work fine but I wish there was a better visual breakdown by location. When my manager asks for a location-wise device health summary. I have to do some manual work to make it look presentable. The data is there, just not in the most ready format. What problems is SureMDM by 42Gears solving and how is that benefiting you? Before this the biggest issue was visibility. You have a device in some branch location and something goes wrong - earlier we'd have to either call someone local or send a person. Now I open the console, check logs, push a fix or lock the device remotely. Done. Security is the other big one. Employees were using devices for personal stuff, installing random apps, accessing things they shouldn't. Once we pushed our app restriction policy through SureMDM that stopped completely. Every device only runs what we approved. We also used remote wipe a few times - once when a device was reported lost and once during an employee exit situation. Both times it worked immediately. That gave our client real confidence in the setup. From a cost side, the client doesn't need IT staff at every location anymore. My central team handles everything through the console. The enhanced Zero‑Touch Enrollment, deeper Android Enterprise and Apple MDM controls, and improved remote troubleshooting make device management faster and less manual. The updated UI and granular policy controls also make large‑scale deployments easier, more secure, and far more administrator‑friendly than before. It is used for BYOD devices and even for corporate devices. We can simply monitor the devices from its console remotely and can also wipe the data remotely. Customer support team is so much technical in terms of understanding the issues, being an Administrator of the tool i am a frequent user.
