## STORM Reviews
  ### 1. Transforms Meetings with Real-Time Collaboration, Minor Customization Limits

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Norbert B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about STORM?**

I like how STORM keeps team and client workshops focused and productive, especially for our hybrid teams. The real-time idea capture and visual organization make brainstorming sessions more engaging, allowing everyone to contribute simultaneously. This prevents overlooked contributions, and we can quickly group, rank, and finalize action items efficiently. The simple and intuitive interface ensures that clients and new users can participate with almost no learning curve, turning lengthy discussions into clear outcomes. Also, the initial setup was straightforward and easy.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

When a large number of participants are contributing ideas at the same time, the platform can occasionally feel slow or laggy, which disrupts the flow of workshops. We’ve also found the template and workshop customization to be quite limited — it’s hard to tailor the structure to match our exact client or internal workflow needs. Right now, we only have access to a small set of fixed templates, and we can’t modify them enough to match our actual consulting and workshop processes. We need more control over how ideas are organized and displayed. The layout and grouping options are too basic; we need to be able to customize columns, categories, color labels, and priority frameworks.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use STORM to facilitate brainstorming and workshops, keeping meetings focused and productive. It allows real-time idea capture and visual organization, enabling everyone to contribute, organize, and prioritize ideas, resulting in clear action items quickly, enhancing productivity and collaboration.

  ### 2. Effortless Data Analysis and Smart Organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanchez M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about STORM?**

I really appreciate STORM for its smart information organization feature, which sorts messy raw data and materials automatically, making it easy for me to find things. I also value how STORM weaves fragmented info together and links related content, speeding up the process of sorting out the project context without me having to piece things together manually. Its seamless sync with Google Drive is a great asset, ensuring all categorized docs are stored securely in the cloud and accessible anywhere. The setup was straightforward, thanks to a clear onboarding guide, and I managed to get everything sorted in about 10 minutes without confusion. It's boosted our team's efficiency significantly.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

The smart organization feature doesn’t handle professional industry terms super well, it sometimes misclassifies technical documents and I have to manually adjust the categories afterward. There's also a small issue with slow processing for large batches of files.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use STORM for real-time analysis of user traffic data on our website, saving me from manually sorting data and reducing repetitive work.

  ### 3. Innovative Research with Multi-Perspective Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayesha S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about STORM?**

The most valuable feature of STORM is its Multi-Perspective Question Asking. It's innovative because it simulates a conversation between different AI agents with personas such as a scientist, an ethicist, or an economist, which leads to comprehensive and balanced reports. This feature automates discovering different viewpoints and provides a 360-degree view of a topic, making it an ideal tool for generating in-depth, Wikipedia-like reports. I also appreciate how STORM is designed to be highly modular and integrates well with several AI tools and frameworks for research, retrieval, and generation.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

While STORM is a powerful tool for generating Wikipedia-like articles, it has several documented limitations and areas for improvement, primarily regarding the quality of the final output, source bias, and operational constraints.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use STORM to generate Wikipedia-like articles by managing information and time. It helps summarize documents, create summaries from Google Meet, and quickly find info in Gmail and Google Drive. The Multi-Perspective Question Asking feature offers comprehensive reports by simulating diverse perspectives.

  ### 4. Storm review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hrithika H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about STORM?**

The attendance sheet - how the structure of leave mentioned according we can make the future plans.
Documents storage, where soft copies are stored so we can easily access them.
Also, there is this easy use, and change of bank details in case of any emergency changes to be made in bank details can be done.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

As there are so many good features, only a very few details about the profile is required, and also, if there is a slight change in how the system works towards the login can make it better.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, majorly, my attendance sheet issues, emails related to the same, and getting in touch with my profile helped me a lot.
Also, at times it was easier to access this portal and get the soft copies of my documents.

  ### 5. A flexible e-commerce platform software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmet Savaş G. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about STORM?**

We chose it because it is an e-commerce platform where we can implement the workflows and processes we want. Since we sell things to people with e-commerce, as people's expectations change, it is very valuable that we can implement these changes thanks to STORM.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

It would be better if they had the flexibility to customize accounting matters in some countries. For example, it would be better if they have integration capabilities with official invoice and payment processes in Turkey.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We thank STORM for making our lives easier in our e-commerce processes. It was very good that they did not integrate with different software environments. It will be better if they are flexible in their official invoice processes.

  ### 6. STORM Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richa Y. | lead sales specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about STORM?**

The system has a colorful interface, easy access on the dashboard, multiple sections, and proper organization for all possible queries. Tax, attendance, and payroll information are easily accessible on the dashboard.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

Only a few options available. Marking attendance was very time-consuming. Too many sections available. The flowchart was not very informative. All information not available on one platform.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me raise IT tickets and solve asset issues like Ring DNA and 3CX. It also informs about holidays, birthdays, and anniversary information, which we tend to forget.

  ### 7. Software that facilitates e-commerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irmak A. | Business Development Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2023

**What do you like best about STORM?**

Since people are important in e-commerce processes, it is very important that the e-commerce system for human expectations is also customizable. Storm also provides this convenience and we can set up and implement our e-commerce processes as we wish.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

Integration with different software is also important, but we did not use it much. If there is a need for integration with 3rd party software, you can do these as well.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to rapid customization for customer expectations, we are in closer contact with our customers. It can be easily integrated with credit card payment systems. We can also perform customer data analysis from the system and get reports.

  ### 8. B2B Services

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajat B. | Technical Resource Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2023

**What do you like best about STORM?**

I like how they work since they switch things up quickly to attract customers as the competition grows. It has a good topology-defining architecture. able to handle dispersed processing. Topologies are simple to define. Compared to spark, it performs well. Nimbus had a single point of failure at first, but it has been resolved in recent revisions.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

There isn't really anything to dislike; they simply kind of charge a lot for their services in terms of cost. The administration of worker processes becomes problematic as the number of worker processes rises. Logs must be correlated in order to determine what went wrong.
The amount of threads that we can give each bolt is challenging to manage.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data is pouring from connected devices to our system. We manage both the stats and the logs. To process them, we use Storm. enhance it and force elastic search. We may enrich the message through the topology, read from Kafka, decode it, and then put it into elastic search as a last step. We have an alarm system in between, which evaluates the situations or regulations and sends them to the proper bolts.

  ### 9. Good tool for E-commerce

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

Some of its features are hard to use and some of it's paid features are high maintenance for small businesses. But if you use it properly you'll achieve your goals.

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It'll solve all of your e-commerce issue and problems like if you're having bad conversation Rates and not getting traffic on your e-commerce websites. It'll solve all of your problems.

  ### 11. Good for stream processing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yogesh B. | Technical Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

**What do you like best about STORM?**

It has a good architecture to define the topology. Good with distributed processing. Topologies can be easily defined. It has good performance compared to spark. Initially nimbus was single point of failure, now with latest releases its been fixed.
With storm ui we can view the topology.
Storm provides the good way to manage parallelism and also scale without affecting / restarting existing eco system, user just need to add the worker processes.

**What do you dislike about STORM?**

When topologies become complex its difficult to debug. Its difficult to visualize also. When we deploy in distributed environment it has issues with performance as tuples are transferred between the worker processes over network, need to be very careful with this aspect.
When number of worker processes increase it has issues with management of worker processes. Have to correlate logs to identify what went wrong.
It is difficult to deal with the number of threads which we can assign to each bolt.

**Recommendations to others considering STORM:**

Use storm wise, otherwise leads to lot of performance issues

**What problems is STORM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are having data streaming from connected devices. We handle the logs and also stats. We use storm to process them. enrich and push it to elastic searh. We have a topologies to read from kafka, decode the message, enrich through the topology and last one to put it to elastic search. In between we have some alert mechanism through which the conditions or rules are evaluated and forwarded to appropriate bolts.
We also have the mechanism to do some config process, where we handle cloud based watch and collect events from aws. Based on this some alarms are generated.
