## About StoriesOnBoard
StoriesOnBoard is a user story mapping tool.

## StoriesOnBoard Reviews
  ### 1. Lacks Collaboration Tools

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto D. | Senior Sales Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2024

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

StoriesOnBoard is a spectacular tool that visualize presentations eloquently. The process of loading pictures, videos, and text is smooth for me so as to develop an enthralling story for the audience. It gives you an unending choice of templates and design options which makes it perfect for any storytelling request.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

StoriesOnBoard does not work well with real time collaboration. In cases where I am working on a presentation with a team, all options to edit or collaborate in real-time are out of the question. Distribution of responsibilities may become a kind of dead weight and slow down performance.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my opinion, StoriesOnBoard undoubtedly facilitated the way of my presenting information. Now I have the power to do presentations that are interactive and generally eye-catching and I can create a memory that is always lasting. In the cases of intricate matter or data visualization it is especially helpful.

  ### 2. Less convenient for using on the go

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yong P. | Training Manager, Government Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2024

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

StoriesOnBoard is a cumbersome tool for project management. It has a user interface that makes it difficult to plan and visualize my tasks. The drag and drop feature is inconvenient, for organizing and rearranging cards.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

The integration with Jira is hectic not allowing collaboration with my team. Being unable to monitor progress and make real time updates keeps everyone on the page. StoriesOnBoard has its benefits. There are some things that I find disappointing.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navigating within the platform is quite difficult and confusing at times which makes it hard to find the features and information I need. The customization options for boards and cards are somewhat limited which restricts my experience.

  ### 3. An ineffective Tool, for Mapping Stories

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert S. | Employment Assistant, Government Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

Its very difficult to navigate and comprehend making project management hectic.Lacks the ability to undo changes is not straightforward consuming me from many mishaps.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

It does not meet all my requirements. It is slightly difficult to handle at times. Once you get the hang of it everything becomes sailing. The minor inconvenience Ive encountered is familiarizing myself with the programs terminology.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is room for improvement in terms of the layout and visualization in StoriesOnBoard. The small font size and lack of readability can make usability difficult at times. It would be better if users had control over customizing their experience with the software.

  ### 4. Brilliant Storyboarding Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

StoriesOnBoard is a super intuitive tool. I found it simple to use and easy to collaborate with teams. We were able to sync it with Jira and it really helped us with tracking/planning effectively.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

I had a good experience working with StoriesonBoard. I think the pricing and some minor UI frictions were the only cons our team experienced.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was working with the PMs and my only apprehension was that the tool could be too 'technical' for me. Luckily, the interface was simple and it was super easy to implement. I was able to build structures and models from our meetings, and the ideas were easy to communicate.

  ### 5. A delightful storyboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram K. | Sales Development Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

StoriesOnBoard shines with its collaborative user story mapping, making project planning and prioritization a breeze for me.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

The reporting features might not be robust enough for teams requiring detailed data analysis and insights.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a remedy for poor communication and collaboration. The tool also helps us prioritize what's most important.

  ### 6. The best story mapping tool in the industry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

Keyboard shortcuts takes the cake on why I choose StoriesOnBoard over other story mapping tools in the market. It literally saves hours at times.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

I wish the ability to undo your changes was a bit more straight forward.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StoriesOnBoard allows us to map out the user journey in a visual way while also documenting the important details around implementation for our entire team to be aligned against.

  ### 7. Worked well for design sprints and solution mapping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

Simple cards and colors work effectively. We have been able to clearly display and communicate requirements with a contractor. The story points work well for tracking our total work to be done. The contractor was able to store our initial requirement from a solution map from over a year ago, when we were finally ready to get to work, the past data was very valuable.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

I don't know of anything to dislike. This seems to fill the need.

**Recommendations to others considering StoriesOnBoard:**

I think giving StoriesOnBoard a try is a great option. You'll find some development specific features that you wouldn't necessarily find on other kanban boards.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've worried about keeping requirements and acceptance criteria clear and clean. This software makes doing so easy for both parties. It seems to be a great collaboration tool for building and designing software from the perspective of the contractor and the client.

  ### 8. Simple yet Deep

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew K. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

Intuitive design allows for a new user to pick this up right away and use it well quickly.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

Like many solutions, this has its own lexicon, and that can be a problem in understanding things until the user trips over them.

**Recommendations to others considering StoriesOnBoard:**

If budget is there- this can be a powerful substitute for using an actual board with stickies on it. Great in the time of Covid and the plan of more WFH

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am mapping potential products to scope out MVPs and future feature sets- then using the feature map I have made to also do competitive research and mapping.

  ### 9. Not good not bad, but there are way better softwares for a kanban working system.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gianluca M. | Writer, Scriptwriter and screenwriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

It's a basic but also useful software to how to START using kanban system.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

The layout is very retro, unfortunately it's difficult to manage and I found hard to put limits on tasks that were in the process of making. I don't dislike a "straight to the facts" attitude, but at the same time I have troubles managing something that unfortunately looks like coming out of a former Windows operative system.

**Recommendations to others considering StoriesOnBoard:**

As written above, I would like a different layout and other form of visualization, as it's actually not that good and difficult to read sometimes (it's small font a choice?) let your users decide how to use your software.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's too disorganized: unfortunately there are WAY better products to utilize a kanban organization of work.

  ### 10. Useful but not quite intuitive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2019

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

It's beautiful and easy to understand, as it's totally free and quite simple to explain even to people with a low informatic knowledge. The kanban system really improved my company working life.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

The program is dispersive and kind of difficult to use as a "tool" for working management. JIRA, for example, gives the mininum necessary and is quite better in your employees working reports and reviews.

**Recommendations to others considering StoriesOnBoard:**

Try to prove other kanban programs too, as they are quite useful and different. Every program has a different offer to give to your company and probably, one is better for you as one is better for another company. It depends on what you do!

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was my main program for kanban boards before using jira and it was totally useful to understand where were the areas my company needed to improve, but as the same time, it was what helped me to realize I had to do something for the organization of my working team.

  ### 11. Not perfect, but getting there with great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett C. | Assistant Vice President Product Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

The interface is clean and the experience straight forward. Integrations with multiple ticketing systems make it easy to manage a backlog independently from that ticketing system which makes separation of duties so much easier.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

There are a few items on their roadmap that will push them past their competition:
1. User journeys: They currently do not support linking stories into journeys
2. A unique ID: Each card does not have a human readable ID that can be used for reference when the volume of cards is large.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StoriesOnBoard helps me visualize the products I work on and organize my backlog by function and priority in one view which is more relatable to my stakeholders. In addition, it allows me to separate ideas and requirements from tickets for development. That separation provides a cleaner developer experience and a more flexible requirements experience, i.e. I don't push stories to development until they're reviewed and ready which makes it clear to developers when it's ready.

  ### 12. Great idea, but showstopper terms of service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

We love the ability to visually lay out a user story backlog. It helps our clients understand the product backlog and keep on the same page.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

The service does not carry an enterprise-grade Terms of Service. I would get fired for breaching my client NDA's if we were to utilize the service under these terms. I would recommend every user review the TOS for their own situation. Many types of organizations can benefit from this product, but I would not recommend this for consulting work where confidentiality is a contractual obligation.

**Recommendations to others considering StoriesOnBoard:**

Review the terms of service before signing up for a trial.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a shared visual workspace to use with our client stakeholders, without giving our clients access to our delivery systems directly.

  ### 13. Great for Agile Product Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José Luis V. | Gerente de Producto, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2019

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

In our team we use this tool to take control of the planning of our tasks, the hierarchy by points, allocation and distribution in each sprint and keep a progress report on the board. We were also able to save the board and print it.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

We really don't find any dislike when we use it during a quarter. All we want to do with StoriesonBoard has a solution, even create an avatar for each team member

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We find in it the perfect tool to build the product backlog, then to plan the sprints, priorize tasks, assign to team members and view the work in real time. Also we import/export the sprint backlog to other software saving time and effort

  ### 14. Amazing tool for capturing requirements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about StoriesOnBoard?**

It gives an easy to use structure to capture requirements at a place.

**What do you dislike about StoriesOnBoard?**

There is no such feature that is being disliked at the moment.

**What problems is StoriesOnBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering business requirements and prioritizing them.
