-As it was newly setup into our environment, the initial setup and configuration seemed a bit complex. Trained professionals are required for inital stages, not everyone can easily set it up efficiently.

The best I like about StarWind Virtual Tape Library is that itoffers a cost-effective and efficient way to replace traditional tape backup systems. It also provides significant performance improvements, enhanced data protection, and scalability and also maintains compliance with regulatory requirements by utilizing disk storage and cloud integration. The things that I dislike about StarWind Virtual Tape Library is its little complex to configure and implement a VTL solution. Also performance has its dependency on storage infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You cannot simultaneously offload multiple tape libraries to the same object storage provider. Also, there is no indicator currently on how long the duration of the offload will take.

You also cannot search by tape name which makes it's harder to troubleshoot as you have to scroll down the list to cross reference Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can finally move away from Physical tapes needing to be changed and rotated. I also get a much better success rate with the backups working correctly because of how items are processed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From my experience, it is not fast unless you set up several instances. Now the bottleneck could be the storage that I am writing to, as it is a spinning disk. But I have 3 backup jobs running at the same time, processing over 30TB of data, and it takes about 30 hours to complete Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
