It decreases our latency and server cost. We use this to manage websites which can be opened through as blocking social media websites. There is strong community support in Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS if there are any issues. **What do you dislike about Squid 3.5 Proxy Server for Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS?** Its advanced features are difficult for beginners. It has a squid.conf file which is hard to understand. **What problems is Squid 3.5 Proxy Server for Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a high server cost problem earlier due to repeated requests. This has caching features which minimize the requests made to the server, thus decreasing our AWS bill. Our latency decreases on repeated requests. Some websites are blocked like social media. ### 2. Its user interface with the web is excellent. You can manage it easily; it's very simple to manage. **What do you dislike about Squid 3.5 Proxy Server for Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS?** Squid content filter can be better as it's not filtering properly, and if this provided a captive portal as well, that would be a great choice for any IT administrator. Content filter is a basic requirement. **What problems is Squid 3.5 Proxy Server for Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We require a web filter as hardware firewalls are very costly, and Squid is open-source, so it doesn't affect the company's IT budget, and that's the major benefit, I guess. ### 3.
